We loved our stay at Cozy Cabin. The lake is beautiful and the cabin is equipped with everything you need. It will definitely be a first choice next time we're in the area.

The cabin was so extremely peaceful and serene. It was clean, cozy and every little detail had been considered. We had great communication from the host and absolutely enjoyed our stay. We will definitely return and have told friends back home about it as well. Highly recommend!

The pictures do not do this place justice! We arrived to a welcome card which was so thoughtful. The rooms are upstairs and adorned with the best accomodations. A king bed in one room and 2 twins across the hall. Safety rails are installed to assist with the ease of navigating the stairs. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking and the charcoal grill even had a bag of charcoal ready for us to use. Wifi made it easy to communicate outside of camp, but we loved being able to unplug from the hustle of life. While the road was a bit rocky in places, we didn't have any trouble navigating and even brought our golf cart to cruise the lake. Kids loved the fishing and swimming off the dock and even though it was a holiday weekend, it was so peaceful and sarene. 5 stars for this hidden gem. We hope to come back and stay even longer next time!

The cabin was cozy and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a wonderful place to getaway from the stress and chaos of our hectic jobs.Our only recommended improvement would be to install a light to shine on the American flag. As it's flown day and night, it is supposed to be properly illuminated. We would stay here again and recommend to friends and family.

Awesomeness

We needed this mini vacation !!!Peaceful, Our Granddaughter is 13 and all she did was fish and found a book she read, It was wonderful !!my only suggestion is that you make you island a bit longer maybe almost to the doorway for storage space otherwise it was perfect !

It was a pretty place quiet I really enjoyed it, but it does need Wi-Fi due to no cell service being from eight hours away from another state is hard to communicate with your family in case of emergencies

There for the Paducah Quilt Show

the lake was amazing - a great way to relax in the evening. The cabin was okay - it was very clean. The drive back was a bit hairy but that was due to the rain and flooding that had happened the week before. Just FYI - you cannot park a trailer (which we had hooked on back of the truck for our show) at the site. We did have to find a gas station 8 miles down the road which was very accommodating for us to park the trailer at. But all in all it was a great location. Thanks to the owners for working with us and being able to accommodate us for the Paducah Quilt show. my employees did enjoy the down time and the lake a lot.

The stay was nice. Other than cell service was horrible everything was good. For anyone looking to stay, I would suggest bringing your own firewood. Overall we were happy.

Great place

No WIFI, so bring your own internet connect but it really is a good place to just disconnect. Bring DVDs. Good dvd player and they do have a decent collection there. House is so nice and beds are very comfy. Staircase is very staircasey so make sure you are wearing anything but socks so you don’t slip on the smooth wood going up or down. We had a very nice time. The fire pit was so nice by the lake! My son was able to finish one of his badges there. No bugs in the house. Good location if you are wanting to go on hiking trails or take a short drive to Paducah.. definitely want to return with both of our kids when the oldest has a break from college. The morning fog dancing over the top of the lake in the morning was very pretty and the turtles were cute. We also had some tiny lizard friends on the fire pit rocks in the afternoon, sunbathing!

Beautiful cabin and lake!

I loved every detail the put in to the decoration of the cabin! It was practical and laid out great! The cabin was extremely clean and up to date! The drive to get to the cabin is the only downside but honestly worth the drive! My husband and I both commented we could live in a space like this cabin full time!

Very nice.

We have visited Lake Hohman several time over the last 6-7 years. This was my first stay at Cozy Cabin and would definitely book this place again. We visit for the swimming and to see the Superman Statue. Dock is in good shape and perfect for getting in and out of the lake. Price was very fair in my opinion.

Beautiful, relaxing getaway

We chose this cabin for a weekend getaway to relax and enjoy the outdoors. This cabin was exactly what we needed. We loved the cute, little cabin and all the amenities. The view is breathetaking. My daughter spent hours fishing the lake and caught multiple bluegill and fish. We appreciated the board games, cards and activity books provided with the house. We made good use of them on the rainy days. The cabin was very stocked and had everything we need. Host were great and very quick to respond to questions. The personalized welcome card was very sweet and made the cabin very inviting. I highly recommend this cabin if your looking to unplug and relax while visiting Shawnee National Forest.

Upstairs

There were 6 of us late 50's to early 70's. We there to attend the AQS Quilt Show in Paducah. We were surprised and a bit troubled the bedrooms were upstairs. The stairs are extremely steep and was difficult for us to go up and down. We did bring a cot along and was glad we did for our 6th person as the sofa bed did not appear to sleep 2 comfortably. Otherwise everything else was enjoyable.

Quiet, Peaceful, Calm

My wife and I booked Cozy Cabin almost a year ago in order to be in the path of totality for the eclipse. Cozy Cabin was a wonderful place to stay, it is absolutely a cozy cabin! Clean and well appointed with everything you could ask for. It's a perfect place for two couples, or a couple with 2 children to spend a few days. The lake is beautiful, there are enough other cabins on it you don't feel isolated but they're far enough away to give you peace and quiet. Cozy cabin itself is well-stocked with games to play, everything you need in the kitchen, excellent modern appliances, good water pressure in the shower, and a fantastic porch and yard to just sit and watch the lake. I would be aware the last mile of road to the cabin is dirt & gravel. Our little Jetta handled it without issue, but in heavy rains it could get a little sloppy. Magdalena and John were great hosts who responded quickly to any communication. I would absolutely stay at Cozy Cabin again if I was looking for a weekend of peace and quiet away from the city.

Cozy Cabin Review

Beautiful location, peaceful and serene. The cozy cabin lived up to its name. The road leading up to the cabin is a bit rough but it’s worth it. Not a lot of cell service but we were totally good with that. Will book again if we decide to go back to the area.

Just what we needed!

My wife & I were looking for a few days' quiet in a refreshing & relaxing setting. We got it! Wifi & phone calls could have been a problem if we did not have our own 'hot spot'. But we wanted quiet! Everything we needed was there, clean, welcoming & private. Great stay!!!

Wish they would have more honest

Beautiful lake and cabin. Wished they would have posted that there was no wifi nor reception. It would not have stop me to going but have prevented an argument with my teenager. We would have had the conversation at home rather than at the cabin. Not the best way to start our vacation. No air conditioning upstairs. Also the comment about tips should have been worded better. Especially since we were required to clean up. Both of which we would have done since we're in the service industries. The condition of the roads should have also been mentioned.
