I wish I could have gave at-least a 3 star but Martin seemed to not want to make things right . The home was filthy , and I mean filthy . Mildew in showers , floors black on feet , baseboards black and covered in filth , spiderwebs on fixtures, the blankets on shelf’s and bedding smelt like stinch , Window blinds and behind blinds covered in thick dust . Also, lots of sharp broken tiles in the master bath that cut us several times . I discussed these things with Martin and asked for my Cleaning fee back as the house was not clean . As well as two nights fee returned due to my family being inconvenienced . Martin said I should have called him to have the house cleaned when I arrived. Excuse me ( I see my family once a year and I’m not telling them to leave so the cleaning crew and do what they should have already done before I arrived . Also , they were paid to clean it before I arrived. I explained this to Martin and he seemed to not care at all . So for this matter I did tell him I would be leaving this review . I do not recommend you spending your hard earned money on this home just to have the home owner not support you when you don’t get what you pay for .

We loved our week long stay with our family of 7. It was extremely spacious. Pet and family friendly which was such a plus for us. Everything was clean and welcoming they even put up a Christmas tree which was wonderful surprise. We enjoyed the hot tub being ready to go the evening we arrived it was a great highlight to our evenings, though it had a bit too much chorine the first evening. The only other thing we had trouble with was the back door knob which was very difficult to open. Overall we would definitely come back to this house!

The house itself is fine. But after our trip we received notice that the property manager filed a claim against the damage protection insurance we purchased during booking process. The claimed damage to 2 hand towels, bed sheets, and dish towel. There wasn’t even a dish towel in the kitchen. Only a sponge. Our family did NOT damage any towel or sheets. This is fraudulent and dishonest. If I were you I would not book this place.

The location of this property was great—very convenient for our needs, and the home was as described in the listing. We appreciated the easy and accommodating early check-in, which helped us settle in before our baseball tournament.However, upon returning to the home late that evening, I found a significant amount of dog hair on the rug and sheets in the master bedroom. I had to vacuum the space before feeling comfortable enough to sleep. The next morning, I discovered the main living area was in a similar condition and had to clean again.I reached out to Brandon, who responded promptly and offered to send someone to clean and a bottle of wine as a gesture. Since I had already cleaned and we don’t drink wine, I declined.Overall, while the property itself and the location were great, the lack of cleanliness upon arrival was disappointing and not what I would expect from a VRBO rental.

We loved the real fireplace, whiletail sightings and hottub evenings after a day skiing. Loved that all beds where queen size including the bunk beds

Great for kids and snow

We went to NC in search of snow, and we found it! The home was set up nicely for our 3 girls, ages 5, 6, and 7. There's a nice play area upstairs with a few games, crayons, and puzzles, but the yard covered in snow was the best part for the kids. The property manager was very responsive and helpful. We had a great stay!

Nice home, great location!

We loved our stay and would definitely come back. The house felt very clean and homey. It was great proximity to the campus making it easy to come and go. The check-in and out process was a breeze.

This property is conveniently located near Boone with lots of activities close by. Great place for families. We spent a month so couple complications but were resolved by management.

Graduation stay

We stayed at this property while our daughter graduated nursing school at App State! This venue was the perfect location for our family and our daughter's friends visited us there too. A great time was had by all. I can highly recommend this venue and we hope to be back to visit soon!

Awesome Experience

My wife and I spent a full month at this property. Great experience overall. Location is very convenient and calm. Close enough to the city but far from the crouds and noise. Also great for skiing as it is very close to the mountains. Also, uber eats and Instacart take less than 1 hour to deliver, so no matter what, you're always stocked. Communication with the host was easy and constant. We had issues with the tub that were quickly addressed and resolved after notifying them. Would definitely recommend

The only thing they need to improve is in provide shampoo, conditioner. Because we can only find soap. Otherwise everything is perfect.
