We booked this home for a Christmas gathering of family from all around - NY, NJ, and ME. It offered plenty of space for 12 people for 3 nights; a nice big kitchen for our huge dinners; and spacious property to play outside (2 small children and 2 teens). The home was impeccably clean (except the hot tub). Every bedroom has a large, comfortable bed, so that felt egalitarian (meaning, nobody felt they got the bummer bedroom). And my 80-year-old parents appreciated having a first-floor bedroom so they didn’t have to negotiate the long, steep staircase. We had fun playing in the game room, and it was nice that the kids could watch a movie down there while the adults hung out upstairs. We also enjoyed a beautiful hike in Hickory Run SP, and a couple folks even went to the Tannersville Outlets. Overall, we enjoyed our time together and appreciated the space in the home.There are some small recommendations I’ll offer to other guests with large groups: Bring extra blankets and towels; each bed has only one thin duvet - the first night we were here the outdoor temp dropped to 10 - and finding enough towels for everyone was challenging. You may also want to bring paper plates because there were only 8 dinner-sized plates in the cabinet. The water pressure is quite low, and I don’t think anyone had a hot shower while we were there.Overall a good stay. Not luxurious, but comfortable enough.

Great location! Could use a little TLC.

Excellent location near Jim Thorpe, rafting and state parks. For our family vacation with adult children and some young grandchildren the house was large enough for us all to sleep and had an excellent pool, fire pit and hot tub which we got a lot of use out of! AC worked well and house was comfortable during hot days. The kitchen was well equipped which was helpful since we mostly dined in. The main drawbacks were that the interior was a bit dated and suffered from some maintenance issues (some leaking plumbing, lowish water pressure) and one cleanliness issue (food item left behind from a prior renter, with ants). Game room equipment (pool table, air hockey table, ping pong paddles) were dated which was a disappointment. Exterior of house was pretty nice, but while the grass was mowed, it wasn't trimmed which resulted in a messy appearance and inconvenient for use for things like the picnic tables and children's play set. We did inform the owner of this and they quickly had someone trim a few items that most affected us. Overall we had a great time there, and we communicated the maintenance issues to the owners so they hopefully can resolve them for future guests.

Great Family Time

Our group of 9 adults gathered here for five days to celebrate my mother’s 80th birthday. It was great. The house was clean and had great amenities and supplies. We spent most of our time just relaxing by the pool in the private backyard. The house included corn hole, badminton, and volleyball in addition to all the great indoor games in the basement. Kitchen appliances and washer/dryer look new and clean. Second fridge was great for beverages. Fitted sheets and blankets are provided but no top sheets so I recommend bringing those. Bed pillows weren’t great, so bring those, too, if you need a good pillow. There are no dressers in the bedrooms and the closets don’t have rods so you sort of have to hang your clothes on a shelf (bring hangers!). Overall we had a nice stay and it worked well for our group.

Would Stay Again.

We would definitely stay at this beautiful property again. The house was not as large as made to believe in the photos and is also closer to the road than it appears in photos. However, the size of the Outdoor property more than makes up for it. The activities that were provided such as the swimming pool, hot tub volleyball net soccer nets were all a big hit plus the game room in the basement. Any questions or concerns we had were responded to immediately. All in all I think this home is definitely worth staying at & would again!! ~ Amy

Wonderful getaway

The house is super clean and comfortable. Big rooms with king size beds, spacious living room, kitchen and dining. Amazing game room in the basement, with poker table, ping-pong, air hockey and billiard. Jacuzzi and sauna outside looks brand new and clean. Huge pool outside as well. There was a few issues like stairs and doors are making loud squeaky noise, propane tank was empty and there is no blankets, beside the one in the bedrooms. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Great for skiing weekends

Perfect for our group of 9 adults and 5 kids. Perfect location for 2 days of skiing at Jack Frost. Went hiking to hawk falls and then drove to bolder field on our way home. House was perfect for sleeping and preparing meals. Game room was great. House was very clean. Will definitely rent again next year

A perfect retreat!

What an amazing place!! Spacious, cozy, modern, clean. So many bedrooms with king size beds. The heated pool, hot tub and sauna were perfect. Outdoor space is incredible-- fields of grass, soccer and volleyball. Basement has 5 game tables, so after dark no need to go to any arcades, with pool table and ping pong and Foosball. Great wifi. Close to rafting, hiking, parks. Was truly perfect.
