"...The property easily accommodated 3 couples and 3 grandchildren under 3. The property could have easily accommodated another adult couple. Every one had their own bathroom and television in their room. The kitchen had everything one might need to make meals. My family took advantage of the washer and dryer to clean kids clothes. The property had a nice game room for entertaining. The backyard was very nice and well lit at night. We chose the property because it was a little more secluded and not in town, but still close to shopping and restaurants." - Brady

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful country home. Rafter J Lodge feels like rustic luxury, on a private 1 acre tree covered property. All bedrooms have King size beds. Each bedroom has its own full bathroom, TV, and ceiling fans. Full service kitchen with island and dining table. Two living areas plus laundry room with washer, dryer, ironing station and scrub sink. There is a large dog run on the south side of the house with tons of shade and room to run for your furry friends.

Amazing house with everything you need

This is an amazing house very peaceful and beautiful outside it has everything you need for your stay the beds are very comfortable two living rooms a wonderful kitchen I loved the old rustic fill from the time I walked in the front door I will definitely stay here again the next time I’m in town and the host is wonderful answered any and every question I had very promptly

Great set up!

The house was very comfortable. The kids loved the game room and yard, which is fenced in. Dog run was convenient as well. Location is less than 10 minutes outside of town and made for dark starry nights. I would stay here again.

Family Get Together

Dove hunting weekend

The place is very large, very clean, good proximity from town. It was particularly nice to have a separate bathroom for each bedroom. On the whole, it was a great experience, and a very nice house to use for a long weekend. Few issues
 We had a lot of trouble operating the television unable to find local TV for football. Maybe include directions? Unfortunately, the property is located on Highway 36, so road noise is a problem. However, the house makes up for the noise and is very quiet inside. Would definitely recommend and likely use again for a short weekend in Abilene.

You won’t be disappointed!

The new owners of the old rafter J cabin are doing a phenomenal job! This is hands down our favorite home in Abilene to rent when we are in town for stock shows. The new owners made our girls feel like rockstars with a personalized message on the black board. Local Pastry’s that were AMAZING! We couldn’t recommend them more as owners/property managers. We will be back in September.
