Cette cabane des Caraïbes, également affectueusement connue sous le nom de Cottage de Noël, offre au voyageur intrépide une rue inoubliable Expérience John. Nichée confortablement sur le fond de la vallée du village de Coral Bay dans un quartier résidentiel calme, la cabane présente une simplicité rustique, avec un irrésistible charme caribéen. La Cabana était un chalet «lune de miel» pour les propriétaires pendant qu'ils construisaient la maison principale sur la propriété. Agréable mais aérée, la cabane met à votre disposition toute l'expérience de vie en plein air du camping avec la commodité de l'électricité, de la réfrigération et de la buanderie. Situé sur un terrain plat, il est facile d'accès et de stationnement. Épicerie locale, service de courrier et restaurants, y compris point de repère local, Skinny Legs and Oasis et Indigo Grill. Profitez de nombreux divertissements en soirée à seulement 5 minutes à pied. Les cours de yoga se réunissent plusieurs fois par semaine à quelques pas de la maison. Prenez le VITRAN sur des plages de classe mondiale pour la journée ou parcourez les nombreux sentiers à l'extrémité est de St. John. Dirigez-vous vers la ville animée de Cruz Bay via le VITRAN pour un dollar. The host, Marcia, was the most welcoming person we ever stayed with. She helped us a lot, was willing to help us plan our stay and gave us great tips about snorkeling places and how to access to some of the areas

Perfect quiet Coral Bay getaway

We had a wonderful time at Marcia's apartment. Everything was clean and well equipped, and she had excellent advice on beaches, restaurants, and activities. Could not have been happier with our vacation!

Christmas Cottage Coral Bay USVI

The place is perfect for those who are used to camping but want a glamping upgrade without the extravagance. Marcia the host is wonderful. The location is ideal for those who want the quiet end of St John with easy access to any number of beaches within a short drive.

Wonderful

We had an amazing vacation. Marcia is very communicative and timely. My favorite thing was the outdoor shower and seeing all the friends who visited, beautiful frogs and lizards.

Serenity in Coral Bay

Island Gardens is a clean, simple house in a quiet location with a wonderful view. Close to Coral Bay. Close to Beaches and Snorkeling. We really enjoyed just getting away from it all and observing the nature around us. Marcia is a wonderful hostess who is an excellent communicator & will advise of local points of interest.

nice Coral Bay property

Let me start off with the review, by saying our review will not be totally accurate to this exact property, as just a couple days before our arrival, Marcia contacted us to inform us that she had a family member in for a visit and that he'll be staying at this property and that she would be moving us to a larger cottage that she also owned next door, for no additional charge. (As is the reason for the 3 star rating on accuracy, since this particular review doesn't truly pertain to the property listed). Marcia owns several cottages all right next to one another, so I make the presumption that they're all similarly maintained and run. As most properties in the Coral Bay area, one has to realize, these all tend to be a bit "rustic", as you're out in the boondocks in this area, and that there are always water and septic use restrictions that one must be aware of out on the east end of St.John. Not the place for a person looking for luxury accommodations, unlimited, long hot showers, or one who likes to use a large amount of water. But for one who likes to rough it a bit and enjoy the quiet side of St.John, it's a nice place to stay. Not absolutely necessary, but if renting a vehicle, you may want to consider a 4X4 if staying here, the road in, once you turn off the main Centerline Rd (Rt. 10), the going can be a little rough and may be challenging for a standard vehicle, as is the case with most properties in the Coral Bay area.

Anniversary getaway

The stay was great! Marcia was wonderful! This cute little cottage was what we needed to relax, unplug and recharge. The composting toilet was not as bad as I had envisioned. The lizards and humming birds became a welcoming sight every morning. Truly a wonderful experience!

Perfect Get Away

Marcia was an amazing host! The property is adorable and has beautiful views. Everything was cleaned and well managed. If you're a fan of lizards and frogs, you'll love it here. I will say that Marcia recommends bringing bug spray and I can second that. BRING BUG SPRAY. I promise your trip will be more enjoyable that way.

Excellent Island Experience

The Christmas cottage was the perfect place to spend our honeymoon. We loved the location and the privacy. Marcia was an amazing hostess who made us feel at home. We can't wait to go back!

Paradise

Marcia was such a great host. It was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. She provided beach chairs and towels which was very convenient. This place is away from the hustle and bustle of Cruz Bay but a 10 to 15 minute drive to most of the beaches. We loved drinking our coffee on the porch in the morning listening to the roosters. On Christmas Eve Marcia invited us to see her Christmas tree and share a Christmas Prosecco. She and her tree were delightful. She made us feel right at home and yet gave us privacy. I have to address the review about the dog barking review that gave me some concern before booking. There are dogs but the barking is not constant nor close. I am a light sleeper and I slept like a baby. Do not let that comment stop you from booking this peaceful piece of paradise. I would book it again in a heartbeat.

Marcia is the most amazing host and just an overall wonderful person. She is super sweet and fun and we absolutely adore her. She went out of the way to check on us and make sure everything was perfect. She has a little paradise of her own where her guests get to enjoy the most beautiful place on earth. She has all the amenities you could possibly ask for and way more! We will definitely recommend her to our family and will be back!

No frills perfection - you have exactly what you need.

Our stay at Christmas Cottage was wonderful! To say this place is magical and cute as a button doesn’t do it the justice it deserves. You can feel the love that has made this cottage the perfect get away for those who don’t need all the glam of higher priced places. The outdoor kitchen was perfect and well equipped; the outdoor shower was amazing after a hot day exploring and the sleeping accommodations were the perfect way to end the day. Staying at Christmas Cottage and meeting Marcia was like coming home to an old friend. We will definitely return!

Great getaway cottage!

My girlfriend and I booked this place for a few nights away from St Thomas where we both live and work for a little staycation. Coral bay is a cool little town with good food, trails, and water access close to the best snorkeling on St John, and away from the crowds of the north shore. The cottage is simple, cute, with a funky Caribbean vibe, perfect for the two of us. Marcia was very friendly and helpful, and we would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I loved Marcia’s place! It was rustic, but that’s what we were looking for. It was super cute cottage. Marcia’s hospitality was the icing on the cake! We will be back, if at all possible, to stay at Marcia’s cottage every year. We will just stay longer next time.

Magical!!!

We had an AMAZING time at this little slice of heaven. It was all we needed. So simple and serene. We absolutely adored the little Christmas cottage and will definitely be back! We initially tried to just hitch and use the VITRAN but my hubby is a little impatient and wanted more freedom so we decided to just rent a jeep. But if you are in no rush, the bus station and restaurants are definitely in walking distance. Marcia told us all the places that we needed to eat at. She and her family were amazing and we couldn't ask for a better host. See you in the near future Marcia!!:)

We come down annually and stay at Cinnamon Bay Campgrounds. They are closed this year because of the hurricane. The Christmas Cottage and staying on Coral Bay was a refreshing change. We gained a new appreciation for the island on many levels. We will be back!
