Welcome to Glenrose! Nestled in the heart of downtown Birmingham, this charming, historic house is one of the coolest places you'll ever stay. Fun fact-The Glenrose was a fraternity house in one of its previous lives. What stories this place could tell! Since updated, the fun lives on! Belt out your fav songs in your own personal karaoke bar, while your friends are getting their hair and makeup done in the upstairs salon.
No matter where you are, enjoy the coolest setting in every room.

Bedroom 1: one king bed
Bedroom 2: two queen beds
Bedroom 3 (the bunk room): triple queen bunk bed and triple twin bunk bed
Bedroom 4: queen bed
Bedroom 5: twin loft bed

Enjoy keyless, full access to the house, front porch/yard and side courtyard.

I live in Birmingham and am available if needed.

Located just 10 minutes from the airport, Glenrose is nestled in downtown Birmingham right on the edge of UAB campus. It is just minutes from a plethora of bars, restaurants and entertainment.

Whether it is by Uber, Lyft or your own car, getting around is quite easy. There is ample driveway parking, street parking as well as a parking lot next door so finding a place for your vehicle is never an issue.

-Absolutely NO SMOKING allowed

-No parties allowed--$1500 fine plus damages, as well as immediate removal if violated.

-No glitter/confetti allowed. You will be charged for special cleaning if used.

-Up to 2 FRIENDLY and ***HOUSEBROKEN*** dogs are allowed Guests will be held fully responsible for any damage caused by your pets. There is a doggy door leading to the back fenced in yard. Guests are responsible for making sure their animals do not get out of the fence/yard.

-Street parking ONLY directly in front of house. No street parking in front of neighboring houses.

-Checkout procedures must be followed or guest will be charged an additional $100 fee.

Great place for eight people who work together every day ad had a great place to relax and enjoy each other socially. No stress, loved karoake and location was good. Great stay.

Great stay

We took our teen dancers to Alabama and this was a great place to stay. We were close to everything and it was more spacious than it even looked.

UAB Graduation

Location was close to UAB campus and home had plenty of room for family and friends. We had a great time and enjoyed the karaoke bar!

There were a multitude of issues. It had pests and bugs in the house that ate through sealed food we had for Thanksgiving. The manager set traps immediately, but still did not help and trash bags were eaten through. Additionally, the refrigerator made this awful noise that a contractor came and said it needed to be replaced. The sink in the Glam room leaks and the oven door was missing a screw. Also, could not adjust the ceiling fans in the main bedroom and there was not a bedroom downstairs where my almost 80 year old sister could sleep. Problem with climbing stairs. The place has potential, but needs work. Great location for BHM.

Graduation Weekend

The Property is very unique. Everything was as described and home was fully stocked. We especially loved the front porch. Our stay at the property was for our daughter's graduation from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. This involved a little bit of extra driving, but we were able to fit the entire family in the house comfortably and affordably. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Enjoyable Gathering Spot

We were visiting from Dallas to celebrate our daughters graduation from Samford. The home was clean and set up well for a large group. The karaoke machine was a huge hit. I would stay here again.

This is the perfect property! The owners are very nice and accommodating, the house is HUGE and super cute. Lots of space and the karaoke is so fun! 10/10 recommend.

Fun Home

Great house, especially for larger families or groups. We enjoyed the karaoke, great showers, comfortable beds, and lots of spaces to gather and visit. Just add a can opener to the kitchen, and our stay would have been 100% perfect! Highly recommend...

Wonderfully unique and well located property!

I rented this home for a girls weekend and it was perfect! There was plenty of space. It was tastefully decorated and comfortable. The girls loved getting ready together in the dressing room and singing karaoke! Would definitely recommend!

Fun, well decorated house

Nicely decorated, spacious house. Karaoke was a lot of fun for our family, and the salon room was a big hit with our daughters. Plenty of bedrooms and sleeping arrangements for everyone. The house's location is convenient, but not much of a residential area, or yard. It is an older house with some wear and tear, but the decorating and style were great. Host was a good communicator, and house was clean and tidy.

SPACEOUS HOUSE W. EXTRAS but needs a good cleaning

The pros - The house was as advertised and slept plenty. The beds were comfortable. The karaoke room was fun and a neat feature of the home and the provided instructions made it easy to use. The kitchen had plenty of supplies and glass/dinnerware to make use of eating in. The Owner was easy to reach and responsive to questions or requests. The vanity room was a nice addition and made it easy for a handful of adults to get ready without needing to rotate the bathrooms. The cons - the house was not as clean as you would expect, especially for the price. The bathrooms, specifically floors and bath mats, were pretty nasty. The house sleeps 18 easily (though we only had 8) but there is limited seating in terms of the living spaces, at least in terms of comfort. The driveway is in bad shape and likely the original - nice aesthetic but our vehicle bottomed out every time we backed out. The front door knob/lock did not feel secure and should be updated. Lastly, the outdoor space had beer cans and cigarette butts left by previous guests. All things considered the house was large enough to house our group and after a good deep cleaning, would definitely be somewhere we would stay again.

Incredible place for family gathering

We were in Birmingham to memorialize my father who possed earlier this month. It was so nice to stay in this beautiful home with my siblings and their families. It is so stylishly decorated and the beauty salon and karaoke were a huge hit with our teens. I hope we can stay here again in the future.

Centrally located and fun property for groups

This house is centrally located in Birmingham, and they’ve done a remarkable job renovating it. It was clean, had room for our 15 guests (wow!), and even a karaoke stage and system. The owners were also responsive and super helpful. A total value and I would stay here again when I’m back in town.

Very pleased!!

This house was so quaint with its historic beauty!! It was a great house for a girls weekend. There were 6 of us so the “salon room” was so fun!!! The upstairs gets a little warm but the fans in all the rooms were great. The location is hard to beat if you are wanting a fun downtown experience!! House is well stocked 👍 Quick and friendly communication with owners.
