The Hotel Avondale was perfect for our extended family of 12 adults and one toddler to stay while in Birmingham for a family wedding. It was well stocked, has nice decor, the common areas are spacious, and it had enough bedrooms for each unit to have their own. And the location was perfect, too, as we could get everywhere we needed to go in less than 10 minutes. We would definitely stay again!

This house was such a gem! It had everything we needed—and a few surprises that made it unforgettable. The skoolie was a total treat—perfect for my teenage son who is now trying to convince me to recreate this space at home for him. It added a touch of charm and adventure to the stay.The location couldn’t be better. It was steps from the beautiful Avondale Park, we took a peaceful evening stroll on the walking trail around the pond at the park. And when it came to food, we were spoiled for choice—tons of cool local eats nearby, we tried out Burning Tree smoke house and Black Market Bar & Grill (which was just a short walk from house)The house itself was clean, stylish, and super comfortable. Rooms were spacious. Kitchen was stocked. Loved the round table where we played games. Plenty of towels, toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, detergent, etc! Delaine is a host who clearly cares. We felt right at home. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a stay that’s both relaxing and full of character!

Beautiful lifesaver

We found this property after a nightmare of a time at another VRBO. This was the only place available on short notice that would fit 8 people, and it was such a pleasure to stay here. The bus in the back was the perfect escape for our 2 small children to play on for hours, while Mommy and Daddy sat back and relaxed. The kitchen was huge and gorgeous. The AC was so cold and a wonderful escape from the Alabama summer heat.

Graduation/wedding weekend

Delaine, our host was incredibly gracious and responsive. Every single issue, request was resolved immediately. We cannot ask for a better host. The 2 smaller room upstairs were a little warm, Delaine brought over two big fans immediately. Our daughter brought her dehumidifiers. That solved the problem. Everyone in our group loved the bus/tiny house conversion in the back yard. It has its own full bath. The shower is smaller so if you are 6’, you might feel a little claustrophobic We had a great time here. We hope everyone else will too.

Great Time with Friends!

This was an exceptional place! It was truly a unique and creative space that enhanced our time spent with friends. Very roomy and spacious for seven adults and could have accommodated more. Wonderful Wedding Weekend

We stayed at Hotel Avondale for my son’s wedding in Birmingham. The house was beautiful and the perfect place to host family and friends traveling in for the celebration. The beds were extremely comfortable and the “Skokie” was absolutely adorable. The weather could not have been more cooperative and we were able to sit in the backyard and enjoy the fire pit every night. I highly recommend Hotel Avondale for your next family or friends gathering!

Awesome Location!!! A Great Stay!!!

We loved our stay. The property is amazing and so charming. Everything was exactly as described and the vibe was perfect. We loved the bus and the remodeling of it was very effective. The house has more than enough space for us and we were able to have work sessions without a problem. The WiFi worked well and we didn’t have any issues. The property was also very clean. No issues. Our Host was excellent. Very communicative and helpful. We have no complaints and would stay here again if we’re ever in the area. Thank you for a great time!

Met our needs!

This spacious house accommodated everyone! The décor was awesome and unique! All space was utilized and the bus was amazing! Only downfall was how hot the upstairs became during the day. The house is old, and the owners had portable A/C to accommodate. All in all, we were all satisfied! We would definitely stay here again!

Cutest Vrbo ever

I can’t recommend this property enough. The home itself is absolutely adorable, extremely spacious, and had everything we needed and more. The host was very quick to respond and helped us with any inquiries we had. The location is also great, as it was within walking distance to many great places.

Great long weekend playing golf at are favorite course, RTJ Oxmoor. The VRBO accommodations were great.

Stylish and quaint

We truly enjoyed our stay in this gem of a treasure! The house does not disappoint as it is beautifully decorated and furnished nicely. All the amenities you need are available. High line appliances and fully appointed rooms with Lovely showers and hidden rooms that added to the homes charm. Mattresses are comfortable but firm. Plenty of space for a large family. Parking was a bit of a challenge but we were able to manager it in the end. The tiny house out back was a hit providing additional privacy and accommodations. If this home were for sale I’d be first in line to purchase it. If ever in the Birmingham area this place is truly a home away from home spot! Don’t hesitate to book. It’s a bit pricey but worth it for the experience!
