One of the best locations in sunny Poipu Beach Kauai, Nihi Kai Villas Resort is just steps away from the Poipu shoreline and a little over 300 yards to world-famous body surfing Brennecke’s Beach and Poipu Beach Park. The plantation style architecture at this small island oasis by the sea is surrounded by swaying palms, tropical flowers, fruit trees, orchids, and mature plumeria trees accented by well manicured lawns.

PARRISH PROFESSIONAL CLEAN – Built Upon the Vacation Rental Management Association (VRMA) “Safe Home” cleaning program, we further expanded our existing high standard of housekeeping at our properties where hospital-grade cleaning products and protocols were already in use. Our goal by layering on the recommended new steps is to provide our guests assurance and peace of mind that when they stay at any Parrish Kauai property that every effort was made to ensure a high level of cleanliness, sanitation and disinfection.

Convenient location

Wonderful property was well maintained and had everything in the unit you would need. Up to date bathrooms and appliances as well as AC throughout were great. Location was perfect near the ocean. Heated pool was great for relaxing. Owner was very responsive.

Everything was pretty great really. Everyone was friendly and helpful when needed.Nice and close to the beaches (where there's great snorkeling). Turtles and Monk seals lolling on the beach every day, as did we!Be aware the bedrooms and bathrooms are downstairs, so there's a bit of built-in cardio.Only suggestions would be to have a designated smoking area and a metal spatula for the BBQ grills.Mahalo for a great stay!Only

Fantastic family rental in Poipu!

Unit #501 was a perfect fit for our family in Poipu. The unit was impeccably clean, well outfitted, and roomy. We appreciated the beach chairs, towels and coolers for the short walk to the beach. The Nihi Kai property was lovely and our family had fun at the pool. We'd absolutely rent here again!

Perfect Vacation Getaway

Our stay was wonderful and we can't wait to come back to your little corner of heaven. Our entire family agreed that it was the vacation of our lives, and the owner's couldn't have been more informative and responsive to our needs. The unit was in great shape and the location was perfect for us being just away from the beach foot traffic but a two minute walk to the beach for the sea turtle viewing, snorkeling, and boodie boarding. Can't wait to come back again

We agree....the location is hard to beat! An easy stroll to one of the best beaches in the US (or, maybe even the world!). We work hard to keep the condo in tip top shape for our guests. We stay in it every year for several weeks (it's a hard job but someone has to do it!) so the kitchen is well-equipped and we tweak and tune to ensure all is well.

Highly recommend

Very clean, very up to date, everything in working order, well appointed, best of all very comfortable, and great location. Walked to Poipu every morning to check out the turtles and seals. We slept so well, the mattress and pillows more comfortable than our own at home. We highly recommend.

Great Location / very nice property

The location was perfect. Easy walk to Brennecke and Poipu beaches. Easy access to highways. Construction caused absolutely no issues. Very well stocked kitchen. The only con would be the design of the unit with both bathrooms down a flight of stairs adjacent to bedrooms.

Quick walk to Poipu Beach!

What a great location! This unit was just as described and a very quick walk to the beach where there was a monk seal on the sand and one next to us in the water. We enjoyed walking down to the beach at sunset and socializing with others. The garden view is lovely, but we also sat on the back covered porch for a change of scenery. Lots of space…I don’t think my husband and I used 25% of it. The owner was very responsive and helpful .

Beautiful Condo and Great Location

The condo is beautiful with nice extras (shampoo, conditioner, hand/body gel, paper products, beach chairs, umbrella, and especially the small cooler with ice packs ready in the freezer) Everything in the condo is great - beds, bathrooms (loved the nice showers), washer/dryer, patios (loved listening to the birds), nice kitchen and living room. The Nihi Kai Villas are surrounded by beautiful flowers and lush greenery. Nice pool and tennis courts. The location is great! Walking distance to Brennecke’s Beach and Poipu Beach. Close to Grand Hyatt Luau and shipwreck beach. This is the perfect condo to stay in while visiting the beautiful island of Kauai!

Apartment was great, we had an awesome vacation visiting Kauai's west side for hiking, boat tours & surfing! However, condo needs updating for toilets-flush very slowly & use lots of water, dish washer takes 2 hours & 25 minutes to wash dishes, & kitchen faucet is a bit shaky...in essence, if bathrooms & kitchen were updated, it would be better for renters. Also, air conditioning in bedrooms would be pretty cool! Other than updating, condo is in a great location-near Poipu beach! We had a great time!

Aloha Dussy, Sounds like you packed a lot into your 2-day stay, glad you had a great time! Our location is hard to beat, so close to Poipu Beach and plenty of restaurants and shops you can walk to. Thanks for your feedback on a few issues. Sounds like we need to get our plumber out to adjust the kitchen faucet, didn't realize it was having issues. The Bosch dishwasher is fairly new and quiet but, the cycle is a bit long. Bathrooms are on the docket to be re-done Spring 2019. Take care and mahalo. Maureen

Comfortable and clean. There are a lot of rules though.

The condo is very conveniently located on Poipu, with a peek a boo view of the beach. Although dated, it is super clean and comfortable. The strata has a lot of rules, such as no talking on your phone while on the lanai, and no hanging of towels or clothing over the railing. Also, and super disappointing for me was the fact that the pool and hot tub are closed at 8pm.

Our resort, like the other resorts in Poipu, does have house rules that all owners and their guests need to honor. These are established to help ensure that everyone on the property enjoys their time. Quiet hours, no towels on lanais etc. are part of those rules. Our pool closure time allows the units nearest the pool to have a quiet evening. Over the years (30+) with 70 units on the property few complaints have been received about the house rules. I sincerely hope your vacation was a good one Amy despite this issue. Our goal is to have 100% of our customers leave feeling good about their time.

Great Stay in Nihi Kai #501

Everything about our stay was perfect! We have two children and the property and the location of Nihi Kai was ideal. Short walk to the pool and to the beaches. A number of nice beaches right near the property: Brennekes, Poipu, Poipu Point for long board and short board surfing. You have options for extremely calm baby beach, body boarding, body surfing, snorkeling, and more. We were extremely comfortable in the condo, slept great, and appreciated the trade winds blowing through the condo day and night. What a nice place! We cooked almost all of our meals and appreciated that the kitchen is very well stocked with all the utensils, pots, pans, pyrex, and even foil and plastic baggies. It was a condo prepared for people who enjoy cooking. Thank you, Maureen and Bruce

FANTASTIC, THE PERFECT CONDO!

PERFECT- our 4th Kauai trip, 1st stay Nihi Kai! Ideal location for beach activities (terrific snorkling), great proximity for shopping, resturants, hiking ("gotta do" the Sleeping Giant) & extended walks, & super area for watching BIG crashing waves & turtles- we were "Wallnuts" almost each eveing! This condo sits quietly in the complex, amidst lovely Botanical Gardens We were want for nothing- really! We had easy access & beautiful driving all over the island. We love Keoki's outdoor dining, & everyone has to get a Puka Dog! Having a COSTCO nearby is a real plus. This condo is a definite return destination for us- HUGE Mahalo, Maureen & Bruce!

Wonderful, relaxing stay

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Poipu Beach condo. Was spacious and exactly as described. Very quiet and peaceful area - specific directions given by owner will get you there; be aware can be a confusing neighborhood. Even though the other units are fairly close due to the way it is situated and shrubs you have a great deal of privacy. Can see a little bit of the Pacific Ocean from the S (main Lanai). Only thing I would warn anyone of.... To access the unit you must climb 10-12 steps this gives you access to the upper level; where the kitchen, dining and living room are. You must then climb down 10-12 steps to access the two bedrooms and bathrooms. We had my 78 year old Mother with us and was NOT a problem - but if someone in your party has difficulty with steps please take into consideration. Condo was very well appointed and we did not want for anything.

Condo in Hawaii

The room was messy and dusty and there were only 2 wash clothes and 2 hand towels in the bathroom so we had to keep washing Also there we did not receive any instructions previous to arrival we did not know where to go. And the outdoor pool smelled awful like sewage waste hard to walk by let alone swim in it. But the island was beautiful as usual and everyone was very pleasant

Pam, I am so very sorry you were disappointed with our condo. Housekeeping has been alerted to your comment. I assure you that is not the norm. The arrival information was sent to you from our management firm Parrish Kauai on Sept. 24th. On your check-in date another was sent to let you know the condo was ready. They were both sent to your email so unsure what happened. As we notified guests, there is work being done on the treatment plant near the pool. On occasion there is an odor as we replace all of the equipment. Again, I am very sorry you were not pleased. We've always prided ourselves on the many great reviews and positive feedback. We clearly missed the mark and for that I apologize.
