Welcome to the Bay Breeze Retreat of Morehead City and the Crystal Coast! At our beachy three-bedroom home, you'll find relaxation, serene water views, and quick access to the best of Downtown Morehead, Atlantic Beach, and Beaufort, NC. We've taken the guesswork out of your next trip to the coast and outfitted our retreat with comfortable furnishings and smart home conveniences to ensure that you are at ease from the moment you arrive. Welcome to the Crystal Coast!

In this ranch floor plan, you'll find three generously sized bedrooms (queen beds in two bedrooms, king bed in primary bedroom) with soft white linens, and Amazon Fire televisions with Roku Streaming Sticks included. Each bedroom includes a separate closet and chest or dresser for storage. The primary bedroom includes an en suite half bathroom with the hallway full bathroom offering a tub and shower combo with vegan-friendly soap, shampoo, and conditioner included.

Kick back and relax on our spacious back deck overlooking Calico Bay! Don't forget your sunglasses...

Guests are provided a digital door code at the time of check-in on arrival day.

This was a cute little place and we enjoyed our stay. Really, truly, my favorite thing was to have a washer and dryer on site (great after a day at the beach), and the very best part of renting this house was the host. She could not have been any more kind and she could probably write a book on how to be a host of a property.My dogs had a nice time as well :)

Spring Break/ Easter 2025

Lisa is an amazing host! She sent me restaurants to try, places to get to the beach prior to our trip. It was so helpful and the restaurant were amazing. The house it self was great not far from Atlantic beach or Beaufort. Everything you need was provided and it was a comfortable stay. Back deck was great to catch some sun and relax. We would love to come back sometime.

Holiday oasis home away from home.

Absolutely and spectacular home away from home! Lisa was amazing great southern hospitality and the house was set up for everything. Definitely recommend the stay with them. We will be booking our next family trip to stay there. Close to walking downtown waterways. Beautiful location.

Cute coastal home

This home was perfect for us needing to be near Newport for a wedding and still have a view of the water. I loved all the subtle coastal decor. It is a very comfortable, tastefully decorated and well appointed home.

Thanksgiving Weekend 2024

We had a wonderful stay at Bay Breeze for Thanksgiving! Lisa was superb in her communications regarding check in and transparent about an issue with the fridge that she had been trying to get resolved before we arrived. She also allowed us to check in early and leave later, which was super sweet! I will def recommend her place to anyone looking for a pet friendly place to stay in Morehead City!

Very nice property in convenient location to downtown Morehead City and surrounding areas. Though not directly on the water you do have a water view from the back of the house. Very clean and updated.

Home Away From Home

What a great space! You can tell the hosts put so much love and attention into the space. Lisa was super communicative and generous. The personal touches really made all the difference. We are regular visitors to the area and are so excited to have found such a great place. We can’t wait to stay again!

Weekend getaway

Lisa was a GREAT host! The house was clean even being pet friendly. Lisa was very quick to respond and answer any questions we had. Location was close to everything! Bay Breeze was the perfect place for my family and friends to enjoy while visiting our favorite place for a wedding. We will definitely be coming back to stay!

Perfect for us.

Bay breeze retreat is a perfect cottage. The vacant lot next door allows a beautiful view of the water inlet. It is located on a very quiet street with exceptionally low traffic flow. If you turn right out of the drive and walk two blocks you are at a really neat boardwalk that has the cemetery on one side and the water on the other. Great to watch birds. The cottage itself has been newly updated and was very clean.Lisa is very quick to respond to any need you may have. She is a wonderful host. Absolutely loved getting away for two weeks at Bay Breeze Retreat!!

Lisa was an amazing contact for the trip. They really go above and beyond, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. So many personal touches and the space was great. I loved that they have a decent water hose and nozzle to spray off your dogs after hitting the beach. I couldn't recommend this more 👍🏻

Excellent place to stay for Big Rock

The property is super convenient to everything! We were in town for the Big Rock KWLA tourny. We were 3 minutes from Big Rock Landing. The house is really cute, clean and comfortable.The beds are great and the pillows are nice and fluffy! The home is stocked well with lots of well thought out extras just in case you forget something. The property owner is super nice and responsive!! I would definitely stay again and hope to again next year for the KWLA!!

Bay Breeze is a Beauty!

Lisa's place was everything as pictured! The house was very clean and was stocked with everything you would need. She was very responsive on any emails I sent in regards to the property. It's a 5 minute bike ride to the downtown waterfront and we enjoyed every bit of our stay! Thanks again. We will be back :)

Lisa, the host was nice in every aspects. The neighborhood is not the best but everything is in 5-15 minutes from the house by car. I'll recommend them to continue to work on to get better and next time I will give 5 star.

Sweet, mostly modern place

This home in Morehead City was a great location not far from Atlantic beach and Beaufort (opposite directions). The home is well stocked and the beds are very comfortable. Keyless entry is great to have. It is pretty quiet, however, there are several dogs throughout the neighbor that are fenced in, but can be a bit startling when walking/biking by. Also many outdoor cats so keep your dog on leash!

Great Birthday Trip!

This house was the perfect backdrop for a great relaxing getaway. The house was beautifully decorated with ultra-comfy beds and linens (can't say enough about clean, comfy linens). The kitchen was stocked with everything you need for cooking, and Lisa provided a fun refreshment to be enjoyed on the deck at our arrival or throughout our stay. Gracie (our rescued Envigo beagle) loved all the doggie extras (bed and treats) and also enjoyed her first time at the beach. Restaurants in Morehead City are within walking distance. The beach and Beaufort are a short drive away. We especially enjoyed Fort Macon and even had a picnic lunch there. Finally, Lisa was extremely attentive to our questions and reached out to ensure all was going well.

Super Accommodating

Prior to booking, Lisa was great with communicating and responding to our questions and concerns. Our pups were our main priority, as we love to travel with them. She was great in assuring us, they would be welcomed. The house was stocked ever so generously, with toiletries, to coffee and nice cocktails upon our arrival. The beds were all super comfy with the best sheets!! The check out process was the smoothest that I had ever experienced with a simple. I would most certainly re-visit! The location can appear to be questionable, however we never had any issues what so ever. This fishing town still has tons of history and locals who enjoy the area without the need to commercialize their homes and that was totally ok with us!

WE WERE ON A 30 DAY VACATION THAT INCLUDED 3 VRBO 7- NIGHT PROPERTIES AND A ONE WEEK PRIVATE TRAVEL CLUB PROPERTY. THIS VRBO WAS THE MOST EXPENSIVE AND LEAST DESIRABLE. WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT TO FAMILY OR FRIENDS. 1. SHARING A DRIVEWAY WITH A COMMERCIAL FISH BUSINESS AND ANOTHER HOMEOWNER WAS A NUISANCE.2. ON THE ADVERTISED REAR DECK, YOU FACED ANOTHER HOME AND WATER VIEW WAS ONLY POSSIBLE IF YOU STOOD UP-NOT FROM A CHAIR.3. THE NEIGHBORHOOD WAS NOT DESIRABE.4 POTS AND PANS WERE WORN AND SCRATCHED.5. ALOT OF FLIES KEPT GETTING IN THE PROPERTY PROBABLY BECAUSE OF FISH BUSINESS NEXT DOOR.6.NO LARGE SOUP/SALAD BOWLS.7. Hello! Johnnie, Lisa, and Chiquita here. We are excited to welcome you to our retreat at the coast. Johnnie has enjoyed calling the Crystal Coast his second home his entire life and built a lifetime of memories here. Lisa and Chiquita joined in recent years and take every opportunity they can do hit Highway 70 from Raleigh and head east! In 2022, we purchased the "Bay Breeze Retreat" as an opportunity to share our love of Morehead City, Atlantic Beach, and Beaufort with those looking for a relaxing retreat, too.
