Largest Black Bear Townhome - Hot Tub - EV Charger - Ski Shuttle
Black Bear townhome (Unit 66) is located directly across from Purgatory Ski Area and is a perfect base camp for your vacation no matter the season. The townhome features 3 bedrooms & 3 baths and is the largest unit type in the Black Bear complex. The gourmet kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances includes a bar with seating and opens to the main living space and dining area.
The master bedroom features a gas fireplace and balcony with a hot tub (occupancy 2) and the townhome also features a washer/dryer (laundry detergent provided) and a 2 car garage (with a level 2 Tesla Charger) with 2 additional parking spots in front of the garage. Enjoy views of the ski slopes from either deck.
The townhome home is part of the resort so you have access to free on-demand shuttle service to Purgatory Ski Resort but since it is across the highway you have the privacy and additional space a townhome affords (itâs part of a duplex). At 8,900 feet of elevation, the home is a gateway to an amazing winter playground and also serves as the perfect summer retreat, with a million acres of national forest land at your doorstep offering all your favorite mountain activities. Itâs only a 2 minute walk to Twilight Lake for fishing and paddle boarding and as well as Purgatory Flats Trailhead, one of the most scenic hikes in the San Juan Mountains. Horseback riding, jeep trails, an alpine slide, epic mountain biking and the Purgatory Inferno Mountain Coaster are all less than 5 minutes from the home.

This home is pet friendly! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs max and the pet fee is $40/day (for a max $250 per stay).
The 4% resort fee included in the quote is the required resort fee that must be charged & does not allow access to the Durango Mountain Club. For an additional (and optional) 4% resort fee, you will have access to the Durango Mountain Club which includes an outdoor heated pool with slide, outdoor hot tub & workout facility. When booking, just advise if you would like us to add the additional 4% resort fee.
Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).
Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.
Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.
