Historically a waterfront restaurant & later a dock caretaker's home, this newly remodeled cottage awaits your arrival. Besides Hood Canal and Olympic Mountain views, you may see dolphins, seals, Great Blue Heron's and Bald Eagles from the comfort of this beach getaway. Bring kayaks or stand-up paddle boards and launch from a beach just steps away.
A well appointed kitchen is a a must, and we've tried to check that box. If crabbing season is open, and you get lucky, there's no better seafood to enjoy right there.

The Host: Deb was easy to work with, we had a few things we needed to call Deb for and she was quick to respond and help with each item.The Location: This location is absolutely beautiful. The views of the water and mountains are amazing, very quiet with only seeing a handful of people every day. Very private location while being close to town.The House: The house and layout is wonderful, I love the kitchen which had everything to cook with since we really enjoy eating at the house. The furniture, most of it, was not comfortable for what you are paying a night. The king bed was not comfortable at all and all other beds were not regular beds. The outside furniture on the deck was very uncomfortable and when you have a beautiful place on the water, it’s nice to eat outside. The dining room furniture was not any more comfortable. The couch was okay, but the one lazy boy chair was very uncomfortable.Overall: Location is wonderful, the inside furniture not so good. We would return if there were a better bed since we did stay there for two weeks it would have been nice to get better rest while we were there.

Cute, quiet and incredible views and sunsets

Very cute cottage, clean and well maintained. Loved that it was in a semi-secluded location and very private and quiet. Hosts were welcoming in their texted communication with me. Location for me was perfect as we were there for a family wedding and it was less than 2 minutes away from the venue. Amazing views, sunsets and the bird watching was incredible.

Wedding anniversary

This is our 3rd stay at this beautiful place, there is alot of history since this was use for the ferry when Hood Canal bridge sunk. Really appreciated the Lofall community making this available for the community to use.

Living in the Poulsbo area now for 40 years, always on Hood Canal, I love the mountain and water views. Since 1995, I've managed a vacation rental home we owned in Hood River, OR, then beginning in 2015 we transitioned to a VRBO home in Cannon Beach, OR (Vrbo.com/443420) which my wife and I continue to manage when we're not visiting ourselves. I'm experienced knowing expectations of vacation home guests.

As a member of the Lofall Community Corporation (LCC) for 35 years (which owns the home), I volunteered to help select furnishings & amenities and also to manage the vacation rental using VRBO. Two other members spent months doing a great job remodeling the home, and it looks amazing.

I look forward to answering your questions and facilitating your visit to this wonderful Northwest getaway & beachfront cottage.

The LCC did a great job remodeling a home previously reserved for a dock caretaker, but realized we had available members to do the upkeep rather than have a permanent resident there. The remodel simply beckons for visitors wanting to escape the city or for those seeking solitude, a good view and a comfy bed. Fast WiFi helps stay connected, if you want to work and just need a change of scenery.

Besides the waterfront access for kayaking, you're an easy 20-30 minutes from world class hiking in the Olympic Mountain National Park. I've hiked in Bhutan, Ireland, New Zealand, Switzerland & elsewhere & this backyard opportunity we enjoy is simply hard to beat. I mean it.
