"Casa de MaĂ­z" centrally located - close to NMSU

"Casa de MaĂ­z" is a quaint home close to New Mexico State University, the Las Cruces Convention Center, and has access to downtown and Historic Mesilla. The home is in a quiet neighborhood close to a park where you can take your children or your dog(s). The home is a perfect stop on a cross-country trip or a place for temporary housing. The sunsets from the backyard are breathtaking. You will be inspired to go hiking while viewing the Organ Mountains from the front yard.
The space
The neighborhood is within walking and short driving distance to restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping. Inside the entry of the house are maps and brochures of local hot spots.
Guest access
The entire house and front and back yards and patios are accessible to guests. Parking is in front of the house.
Other things to note
House has easy access to Interstates 10 (east /west corridor) and 25 going north towards Albuquerque.

Close to NMSU; well appointed; clean; comfy beds; responsive host. The only drawback was some street noise behind the house. If you're sensitive to traffic noise when you're falling asleep, you may want to pack ear plugs. Overall great place!

Beautiful home with a fully fenced back yard. The host was so considerate in labeling all of the light switches, drawers and different areas of the house. The check in process was very smooth and I appreciated the digital lock - no need for keys.It took a few hours for the house to cool down to room temp once we arrived, which was hard for the dogs. If there is a way to start bringing the temp down before we arrived that would be fantastic. But otherwise we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend!

Cozy

This was a perfect family hideaway for a cozy weekend. It had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable for the whole family, including our fur babies. Gail was wonderful with prompt communication and even provided a whole list of possible To Dos in the area. Would definitely reserve again.

Wonderful stay

Gail was kind and made sure we had all we needed when we arrived. She let us know of good local restaurants (which we tried and loved) and also let us know she had a foot spa for after our long hike (which was happily used).The house was clean and welcoming. We were really sore after our hike, and the bed was so comfortable. We wish we had a longer stay so we could have enjoyed the backyard. We are returning to Las Cruces next year, and are definitely going to try and stay here again. Overall it was such a wonderful and comfortable stay.

perfect place for down time

very clean, spacious, well decorated and stocked. lots of instructions on how things worked. only thing is there wasn't much for tv. a few local channels. couldn't get apple tv to work.

Girls’ Weekend

This was the perfect place for our girls’ weekend to celebrate the arrival of a baby girl. My best friend and I have been friends for over 40 years and have raised our kids together and now they are having babies and it is wonderful to be able to spend time together. This home facilitated the making of great memories.

Perfect house

This is my second time staying at this house. It’s very cute, feels like you’re at home. We come to Las Cruses to visit our kid who’s in college. The location of this house is great. Very close to nmsu college. Highly recommend this house.

This property is in a great location, in a safe neighborhood less than a mile from New Mexico State University. It is centrally located and has two small parks a block away from the entry of the neighborhood. There is quick access to restaurants, stores, and downtown.

The unique benefits of staying at our house are the value, service and the decĂłr. I take my role as your host very seriously and it is an honor and pleasure to have you stay with us. I have been known to offer a baked good in the refrigerator and information about our friends that are local artisans or artists. We encourage guests to visit local attractions and take in the sites that are both in nature or that have a cultural aspect to them.
