Jim is an awesome host! The house is clean, comfortable and well equipped. We LOVE sitting around the firepit just taking in the gorgeous view!

Thank you for your visit and we will look to providing an even better stay on your return. This is an excellent summer visit on the bank of the river. Occasionally, we bring my family and have a great time of cooking on the grill, and roasting marshmallows on the pit, hope to see you return.

Excellent Place to Stay

Clean and comfortable. Has everything you need. Fantastic river and mountain views. About 20 - 30mins away from New River Gorge.

Great Little Gem

Property was clean and cozy. Also a great location to stay for the Highball to Thurmond Ultras. Host was great with communication and very accommodating. Great value for nice little spot by the river.

It is a nice property. My only issue was that it’s an old home splint into four apartments and you can hear everything that happens in the other units.

We pulled in looked ground. We got it for water view and peaceful dsurroundings. Everything was durty outside. It looked abandoned. We were too afraid to stay. We didn'teven open the door to look inside. Very misleadingsmd disappointmen

It was OK

Check in was a problem and took a call to VRBO customer service. Although the picture is waterfront, the water is only accessed down a steep 30 foot hill. Front porch was too dusty and cobwebby to sit. The interior smelled of mildew the entire 3 days, even though we left the AC on. No pots in the kitchen only one 8 inch skillet. Bathtub is very tall with no footstool for shorter people. Not a canoe/ fishing cabin nor a romantic cabin. Extra fees are very high considering limited amenities and no thoughtfulness inside. Extremely cramped, uninviting kitchen. Lots of brochures which was nice although coupons outdated to 2018. It was very clean.

Everything was as listed

Everything was great. This was originally double booked because the owner had it listed multiple ways So I received a refund for the 3. Bedroom unit But I was still able to get the 1 bedroom which is all we needed.. Owner was easy to communicate and very helpful. I would recommend this if you have activities to do in the New River Gorge area..
