Experience Southwest Magic at our "Family Friendly" home designed to bring people together for making memories. Please be advised, this is NOT a "high-end" rental. You will not find a gourmet kitchen, nor silk sheets in our home but you will find ALL the "comfortable amenities" of home. The location is within a family-friendly neighborhood near a school. Please seek alternative accommodations if your goals are not aligned with our mission.

1. Heated Pool & Spa YEAR-ROUND!! (Complimentary Heat up to 79 degrees + Optional "additional heating" at $50/Night up to 84 degrees). SPA heating is always complimentary.

Great property - very clean and well stocked. Laid out well with plenty of sleeping and hanging out area for our party of 6 adults. Nice neighborhood and close to shopping, restaurants and attractions. Would definitely stay again!

Great location and property!

I was looking for a property with a private pool and Jacuzzi, and I found it here. Place was close to shopping restaurants hiking trails you name it you were within minutes of it. The neighborhood was very clean and very quiet. The property was very clean and well maintained. Everything the property owner told me about was accurate. Super easy to get in and out of the property, check in and check out was also very easy. Overall 10 out of 10 stay and will definitely plan on staying here in the future.

Great Pool and Location

The location/neighborhood was very convenient for our family. Close to parks, grocery stores and hikes. All of the extras were great for our family- tennis rackets, pool floats, recommended attraction binder, little coolers and full kitchen with anything you may need. The pool was the highlight for our kids!!

Family of the bride

We had a wonderful time. The rental property was amazing. The location was great. My daughter got married at the Buttes of reflections, which is very close to the rental property. Christie is very organized. Everything we needed was in the binder when we arrived and yes, everyone is hooked up to technology these days, but it was nice to have her opinion in the books also. The beds were comfortable definitely some of the best that I’ve slept in compared to other rentals. This place was completely stocked with everything we needed. Matter of fact, this is the only rental that I have ever been in that was this well stocked. She made a comment to us that we were very low maintenance guests and I appreciate that however I feel the reason we were so low maintenance is because she offered us anything and everything we could possibly need so we did not need to ask for anything. I know that if I am ever looking for a rental in the area again this will be the first place. I’m looking to see if it’s available. The next best part was the heated pool and hot tub, especially in February during the day when it was in the high 60s mid 70s The pool was tolerable. Otherwise we used the hot tub that time of year is still a little cool for swimming even when you’re from Wisconsin. I highly recommend this rental. We even used the outdoor gas grill, which appeared to be almost brand new and cooked steaks. It truly felt like we were on our own resort.

Desert Fun

Super clean, comfy place in a great location. Close to a bunch of hiking trails, eateries, grocery store. This is by far the most well-appointed rental we have ever stayed at, and we have been all over the U.S. vacationing. Loved relaxing & reading by the pool. Great host!

Three generations stayed at the Happy Cactus. The beds were comfortable, the neighborhood was very Christmassy, and the view was beautiful. The house is a bit outdated.

Perfect location for a retreat!

I hosted a women’s retreat for 3 days at Christie’s home. The listing was very accurate and the home was super clean. The pool & jacuzzi were clean and heated. The walk ability around the house is awesome, especially for those who are differently able. The of road trails we found were easy as well. Christie was a great host and very responsive. I will be back to host another retreat in the future.

Perfect place for Family get together!

Perfect home to Catch up with our two adult sons. Location was nice, close to everything you would need but still felt quiet and private. We didnt go out much except a scenic drive for part of a day. Reading the literature that Christie left us seems like plenty of activities to do! Between the heated pool and jacuzzi we just hung out and visited...Probably biggest compliment I can give is that it was comfortable to stay there. That is huge for us. Relaxing Stay!

This host and home were 5 stars all around. Check in was easy, house was spotless, location was great, pool/hot tub in the back were perfect to end the days. Highly recommend this property!

We had an amazing stay at Happy Cactus. The house was super comfortable and the backyard pool area with a view of the mountains was so peaceful. The location is perfect for easy access to mountains, Tucson area, Univ of AZ, amenities, etc. Communication with the host was stellar - they are extremely communicative and responsive. We had a wonderful trip and would highly recommend this property.

Wonderful Home Away from Home

We absolutely loved our stay here! The house was big enough with lots of sleeping options to accommodate our family. Christie was super responsive with great friendly and professional communication. This was a comfortable family home that was beautiful and clean with everything we needed. Check in was easy and no-fuss. By far, the best part, though, was the stunning pool! We spent hours, day and night, enjoying the wonderful views and atmosphere. The house is a bit of a drive from the major Tucson attractions we wanted to visit, but well worth it. Thanks for some great family memories!

Fun in Oro Valley

We stayed 3 weeks at Happy Cactus property and had a great time. We loved the convenient location and the beautiful backyard pool and hot tub. We are only 2 people, but the house is ideally set up for a larger group with multiple bedrooms, bikes, pool toys. Everything was clean and in good working order. Needs a few updates in the kitchen and better towels and sheets (less quantity and more quality.) Good communication with owner. Overall a great stay!

Awesome place

Everything you’d want in a vrbo! Great location to everything. Hosts have a huge binder if you’d like to do something, tons of information. Usually have a hard time sleeping when not in my own bed. I slept like a baby. Great beds and pillows! Thank you Christie we had a wonderful time!

Family Christmas Getaway

Great property for a family vacation. Property is in excellent condition and instructions & communication were fantastic. Location was perfect for exploring the Tucson area with all it's great nature and arts. Watching the sunrise over the mountains while hummingbirds explored the flowers as we relaxed in the hot tub was a delight. Would definitely stay again in the future.

Great time, great pool, convenient location

The house was very spacious well maintained. The pool was wonderful, and with the heated water it was warm enough to use comfortably in mid-November. The hot tub was fabulous, too! The location in Oro Valley was very convenient, and the view of Pusch Ridge was wonderful.

What a Great Place.

This place is and was amazing. It had all the spacious areas it talked about. It is near plenty of amenities and shops. The pool and hot tub were amazing to sit and relax. Every thing you need to know to operate anything has a well step guide next to it. The cleanliness upon arrival was immaculate. If you’re looking for spacious place for a lot of people make your search short stop here and book right away this place if available won’t last long.
