Welcome to Comfy Caribou Lodge!
We’re so glad you’re considering our cozy getaway while you explore all that Interior Alaska has to offer.

Our 1,700 sq. ft. log cabin combines the best of both worlds — rustic charm downstairs and modern comfort upstairs. It’s the perfect place for families, friends, or couples to relax, recharge, and enjoy the peace and beauty of nature.

Inside, you’ll find a warm and inviting space with three comfortable bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, and a cozy living room that’s perfect for curling up after a day of adventure.

A Note About Power
Alaska’s weather can be unpredictable, and outages do happen. But don’t worry — our automatic generator kicks in the moment power goes out and keeps things running smoothly until the lights come back on. Whether it’s a couple of hours or a couple of weeks, you’ll stay safe, warm, and comfortable.

Get Outside and Explore
Goldstream Creek winds through the Fairbanks valley and is home to moose, foxes, and a variety of birds and other wildlife. There are endless trails nearby — perfect for hiking, birdwatching, berry picking, or dog walking in summer, and for skiing or dog mushing in the winter.

5th VRBO in the Fairbanks area that we’ve stayed in and by far the best. Great location and fully stocked with nice amenities, the cabin had everything a guest could want with wonderful charm.

Your beautiful home was perfect for our family Christmas vacation. It was cold during our visit but the home was always warm and inviting for our return from our daily activities. The location is just a few minutes from town. The home has everything you need, towels, a well stocked kitchen and plenty of hot water for showers. The hosts were terrific with communication and answered all my questions with regards to the home and the local area. WE are already planning a return to AK and when in Fairbanks this now our home away from home thanks to Spencer and Meera. Happiest of New Years!

This cabin was superior! Clean, attractive, and well located North of Fairbanks. It had everything we needed and more. The master bedroom and upstairs hall windows were well located for checking for Northern Lights. When we saw them from upstairs we went to the front porch for viewing! The Auroras were active 3 of 6 nights, but 2 of those nights were too cloudy to see them, which is fairly typical and why we booked 6 nights! Also, great communication with hosts before and during our trip.

We had a wonderful three day stay at the Comfy Caribou Lodge. The house is new, well-furnished, amply-supplied and just right for Alaska. The owners communicated with us before, during and after our stay and there were no issues or concerns. Everything was perfect. We enjoyed the view from every window - we didn’t have time or weather to enjoy the decks, but they are very nice. I took a long walk one evening along the country roads in the area and watched for moose, but missed them, apparently. We saw the aurora one night, which was on our bucket list. We highly recommend this rental.

Fairest of the fair in Fairbanks!Absolutely perfect! The kitchen was stocked and clean. The entire cabin was spotless. Our hosts were so easy to deal with and helpful. It was nice to come “home” and relax on the deck after a great day of fishing and sightseeing.

Unfortunately our stay at this property was extremely disappointing. On arrival we found major plumbing issues: the master bathroom had intermittent hot water and very low flow, making showers nearly impossible. The upstairs toilet backed up even with minimal paper. When we contacted the host, we were asked to troubleshoot late at night by running between sinks. Rather than take responsibility they told us we should lower our expectations because we were "not in the lower 48." The water problems persisted throughout our stay and we declined to have a plumber invade our vacation.The house itself is not well built. The queen bed in one room collapsed under normal use; we were simply getting in and out of bed. The hosts accused us of breaking it without considering that it may be poorly constructed. Despite cleaning the cabin thoroughly before we left, we were told we left it filthy and were charged an excessive cleaning fee which we have disputed.Finally, there are Ring cameras at the front and back that are close enough to hear conversations if you open a window, which felt intrusive. Overall, the lack of basic maintenance, poor customer service, and surveillance cameras made this a stressful stay. I cannot recommend this rental.

If you're looking to stay anywhere in the Fairbanks area, this is the place. Secluded location, yet close to town. Beautiful rustic design with modern amenities. View from back deck is amazing—an evergreen forest. Signage throughout the cabin was very helpful. Great water pressure. These folks have thought of everything. Great hosts and communication.

The cabin was absolutely gorgeous! Felt like we were away from everything but close enough to get to places. Interior was decorated very well and furniture was comfy. The welcome bag of snacks and drinks was really nice, especially after a late arrival. It was very roomy for our family of 5. We had an issue with hot water on our last night but the owner was very quick to call me! Unfortunately we had a lot of rain during our stay so we didn’t get to use the outdoor furniture but it looked very nice and I imagine it would have been excellent to relax on! I’ll definitely keep this place in mind for our next visit!

The cabin was beautiful! The owners were very thoughtful, we had a wonderful welcome note along with some great snacks waiting for us. There was coffee and creamer and a fully stocked kitchen. The cabin was spotless, extra towels, even detergent for the washing machine. There was mosquito spray and itch spray available. They had board games and puzzles along with books. They even made sure the mosquito population was sprayed. I mean they thought of everything! Just perfect for our stay in Fairbanks.

Beautiful log cabin

Great space! Very clean and I appreciated the welcome bag and other small touches. Beautiful house, and considering it’s down a dirt road it’s not too out of the way. Would definitely stay there again. (Bummed I didn’t see any moose near the house, but maybe next time!)

Cozy Cabin in Boreal Forest

Wonderful location near Fairbanks, but away from the city so that it feels “secluded” because you are surrounded by forest in every direction. House was very clean and comfortable and well appointed with plenty of basic supplies! Would definitely stay here again if/when we return to Fairbanks.

Amazing Cabin!

We stayed at Comfy Caribou Lodge from March 18-25, 2025 and had an absolutely amazing experience! This cabin was so much more than we had expected! It was one of the cleanest places we’ve stayed and had everything we needed for our stay. We saw the Northern Lights every night that we were there right from the porch. It was far enough from the city to feel secluded, but close enough to go into town if we needed anything. The hosts, Spencer and Meera, were especially wonderful. They made sure we had everything we needed and gave us some recommendations as well. They provided us with snacks when we arrived, which was a welcome sight after traveling all day. The beds were very comfortable and the house was so cozy! It just made our entire stay even better knowing we had such a great place to come back to after we spent a day exploring the city. We only wish we could have stayed longer. I’ve already recommended the Comfy Caribou Lodge to friends who are looking to visit Alaska. We definitely recommend this cabin. It will be everything you are looking for and more!
