Pros: The hosts were very responsive, and the location is great with nice mountain views.Cons: Unfortunately, the unit felt under-cleaned—there was trash under the sink, crumbs on the floor and couch, and surfaces appeared only lightly wiped down. Given that the interior feels more like a frat house than a cozy ski chalet, the lack of thorough cleaning stood out even more. The carpets were stained, some furnishings were broken, and much of the furniture felt worn out.If ski conditions had been good, the value might have been easier to justify, but since it was raining, it wasn’t an especially comfortable place to spend extended time indoors.

First property had been trashed by previous renter and not ready for our stay. We got in late on Thanksgiving with check-in only being after 4:00. Texted the property manager the next morning. Eventually, reached the onsite manager. The onsite manager agreed there was a problem and was able to speak to the property manager. He gave us a choice of two other properties. The clean one had the kitchen in the bedroom and no workspace which was critical to our initial decision. We got a second option in a different building under full renovation. It was cleaner but missing towels and was unheated when we got there. It turns out it wasn’t my set up to be heated so we spent the day in a low 50’s degree room. The onsite manager came back in the evening and figured out how to turn on the gas and the the fire place. Apparently, the fireplace was meant to be the main source of heat. Of the other two wall heaters were in the bathrooms, the knob was missing on the one you needed to adjust it with but we eventually learned to use it with the breaker. The other room had a non-functioning heater and no access to the fireplace heat. There was n it was just a miserable experience.o fixing it. It was now our second uncomfortable evening and we let the onsite manager know we’d be leaving a day early, the next morning. We said we expected to get a 1/3 of our rental back to which he thanked us for being reasonable considering and still we hadn’t heard or received a red from the property manager.

First day: The 2 bdrm unit we rented was not cleaned. The manager said she forgot to schedule it. Which is ok. The property manager said he will soon have it cleaned, but wasn't cleaned that day. Many text exchanges later he gave us a different condo (nicer) in another location. However, even here one out of the two bdrm was not cleaned and dirty towels were on floor. Dirty dishes in the sink. Looked like their cleaning staff was missing. Next day they offered us a nicer two bdrm unit in yet another building. Took us more than a day and three moves to finally settle down. However, next day the electric power was off from 8an to 5 PM, which the management knew about. Maybe that was teh electric company's fault. Nice location otherwise.

Some plugs not working dated and stained carpet door to pool not working on 7/30 reported same to desk. Loved being close to the tram and pool hot tubs and especially the chess set my grandson loved! Dated furniture could be addressed. Would be a wonderful place to visit to ski!

Summer Stay

Did not realize that there was no doors on the bedrooms.It was kind of like a studio with a loft. no privacy.Pots and pans are in poor condition, need replacing.It was nice that they supplied coffee, snacks, and cooking spices.Amenities on site where very nice, pool, workout room, tennis court, parking garage etc. Great location, close to village. Nice paved bike trail to Tahoe City, then can go south along the lake for 9 miles.

Great location....food, shops, activities within walking distance. Condo was spacious and well stocked. Bev went above and beyond when I made a request. We highly recommend the aero tram ride! Would definitely book again if staying in area!

Amazing ski in / ski out stay

Wonderful ski vacation for our family of 5. Super convenient to be right at the Palisades village for easy access to the slopes as well as all the amenities the village offers. The unit itself was comfortable. Kitchenette was small, but had everything you would need. Also great to have access to everything at the resort such as the pool, hot tub, etc..

Ski trip

Very convenient. Watch the Lifties set the lift up in the morning and then head out to ski for the day. Kitchen was adequate. Covered parking was a bonus. Hot tubs were too busy. Prompt communication from the owner. Would definitely stay here again if in Palisades Tahoe. Right now.
