New Owner and recently remodeled!

"River Retreat Southwest Cabin #1" is located at 101 High Cost Trail, 1 mile from the edge of town. This cozy cabin sits directly on the Red River, Sleeps 6, with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a fully furnished kitchen. This quaint cabin decorated in Southwest style is perfect for your family getaway and has nearly everything you can imagine for anyone looking for a relaxing memory-making vacation! Many new updates set this cabin apart!

Located just 1 mile from the Red River Ski Area, this cabin offers River frontage, sitting directly on the Red River and is close to town to restaurants, shopping and the Red River Ski Area!
Get away from it all! Enjoy the back deck of this riverfront and serene cabin! Fish right off your deck and let the kids play in the river! Enjoy the peaceful mountain views from the upper balcony!

This cabin sleeps 6, with 1 bedroom downstairs with a Queen bed & TV, 1 bathroom with shower, a full kitchen, living area & electric fireplace & TV! The upstairs boasts the master bedroom with King bed, TV and private deck overlooking the river, a second bedroom with a Queen bed, TV and a bathroom with bathtub/shower. Free WIFI. We offer smart TV's in all rooms, so bring your logins for Netflix and other apps!

Parking includes 2 private spaces. Free Shuttle Service provided by the town of Red River can get you anywhere you need to go around town, with just a simple phone call.
Special Notes:
This is a NON-SMOKING property.
Parking: 2 vehicles max. No trailers allowed, however, parking for trailers is available in the nearby lot across the bridge and behind the Red River RV Park.
No Air Conditioning.
Pets Welcome! (2 pet max, 25 lbs or under) Non-refundable Pet fee of $75 per pet plus tax is required. Pets shall not be left unattended at the property at any time. A minimum of $500 charge if pet is not registered with paid rent fee. You are responsible for cleaning up after your pet. If you do not clean up after your pet, a $100 fee will be charged for us to provide this clean up service for you.
*During Winter months, you may need to move vehicles from street-side parking to allow for snow plowing activities.
**Torchlight Parade & Fireworks takes place on Saturday nights during winter ski season as well as certain holidays. Check with Red River Ski Area for more information.

The cabin was clean and warm when we arrived. The hosts stocked the kitchen with a lot of dishes and the bedrooms and bathrooms were well-stocked with extra linens, pillows, and towels. It was also a nice feature to have a grill onsite. The stream was so peaceful and serene being just off the porch, too. Staying the week of Christmas, we were pleasantly surprised to find out about the candlelight service at the church just across the stream. Check in and check out were so easy. We would definitely stay again and recommend this place to others. Thanks for a great stay for our family!

4.5 stars! Easy check-in, clean and a nice cabin. The highlight is sitting on the porch next to the stream, where we watched hummingbirds, chipmunks, ducks, and fish in the cooler temps of RR. My half star deduction is for the lack of something to put suitcases on and seating.Our belongings had to set out along the floors of the bedrooms. Only one bedside table, not two. (At least in the two smaller bedrooms, not sure about the master) The house sleeps six, (we had five adults), yet there is only a couch and one chair which is not enough seating for all. Yes, we were able to use a wooden bench seat from kitchen, but that is not comfortable for long. Additionally, it was a good thing we brought camp chairs because there are only four seats on the porch. Would I rent again? 100% just be aware of a few items to bring to make it work with more than 4 and hopefully the owners will add nightstands and something to put suitcase on or in.

The cabin was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting in the deck and watching the ducks and chipmunks around the creek.

Fishing get away

Clean and cute cabin. Great location to get to the fishing ponds. Loved the porch for a cup of coffee and to listen to the river out front. Very enjoyable.

Remodeled???

Check-in was a breeze! Parking is great! The little stream was very peaceful and serene! Unable to use oven due to dirt in bottom/smoky. Both bathrooms need help and the bed linens smelled of perspiration. Every linen in this cabin needs to be taken out and washed immediately. I was not happy with the cleanliness of this cabin and I will never rent from them again.

Family trip to Red River

Great property and great host. The property is a little on the outside of town so it’s hard to walk anywhere. Other than that, it’s perfect!

Comfortable beds, close to town and very relaxing! We grilled and cooked. Kitchen is stocked nicely with necessities. Coffee pot with both kcups and a pot.

Nice location and set up

Nice space for 6. 2 bathrooms great. 2 parking spaces and this one has space on side for an off road or golf cart. Only complaint I have is upper deck has a metal plate by sliding glass door that isn't tacked down. Someone could potentially cut their foot. Nice location and available free shuttle that we didn't use. Would stay there again.

Nice condo for skiing

Clean, quiet and just a few minutes from the chair lifts and restaurants. Family room was a little small for the 5 of us, but it was otherwise perfect.
