Budnick's Lakeview - New Construction in 2021! This spectacular home is perched high above the west side of Canadarago Lake looking East - it is sure to please everyone in your group! Views, new construction, outdoor seating, firepit, lawn games, did we mention views?, and so much more. Once you arrive at Budnick's Lakeview you won't want to leave. There are plenty of great spaces inside and out to take in the terrific long distances views of Canadarago Lake, Deowongo Island and the surrounding hills.

If you do have to head out, the Village of Cooperstown and the Dreams Park are only about a 20-25 min ride through the rolling country hillside. Inside you will find 3 queen bedrooms and 2 baths and an open floor plan for the kitchen, living, and dining area. This layout makes for a great space to hang out and relax while taking advantage of the wrap around deck and views. If outside activities are your thing, your host provides a basketball hoop, pickleball court and cornhole toss to help pass the time. Upstairs in the game loft, there is a table for playing cards and board games as well as a Ping-Pong table and a pool table. Budnick's Lakeview calls for relaxation. The wonderful deck with high visibility railings, gas firepit and lounge furniture make for a perfect spot to enjoy a book, cocktail or even do work if you have the misfortune of having to still be on the clock while on vacation.

Your host does provide 3 kayaks and a canoe, as well as paddles and life jackets. Guests must be able to transport these watercraft in their own vehicle to/from the nearby NYS Boat Launch. There is a nominal daily use fee per vehicle at the boat launch which would be paid by the guest.

Felt like home - but better!

We had 3 separate families stay here for a wedding. The location was very convenient to the church in Herkimer, the reception in Richfield Springs, and family in Cooperstown. Everything about the house was perfect! Comfortable beds, nice linens, great full bathrooms with plenty of quality towels, well stocked kitchen. And the view was breathtaking - especially in the mornings as the mist rose over the lake.

Wonderful property

The house is gorgeous, modern and charming. View of the lake and plenty to do for the kids. The game room is beautiful. Close to 30 min from Dreams Park. The owners are responsive and very attentive to their property.

Fantastic house while in Cooperstown

3 families with sons playing baseball in Cooperstown. Short (and beautiful!) drive to the park and back each day. We all enjoyed having a home to come back to after a day at the ballpark. Can't beat all the options for unwinding for kids and the deck to relax on for adults!

Perfect escape and relaxing atmosphere!

My family and the two other families who stayed at the property absolutely loved our experience! Our kids were playing at Cooperstown Dreams Park, about a 25 minute relaxing ride away, and this was a perfect escape from long and hectic days at the park. The accommodations were clean, well-maintained, and fit our families' vacation mindset perfectly! Access to the local town for groceries and quick bites was great, and so was the lake. In the house, the pool and ping pong tables provided fun for everyone, as did the basketball court and roll-away pickle ball court net! The owner was communicative and responsive, and that was a plus! We loved the security with the garage door code and front door digital locks, and having coffee on that deck could solve any world problem! I'd go there again in a heartbeat if we ever went back to Cooperstown.

Beautiful, Relaxing Mountain Retreat!

Our extended family of 10 (ages 3-69) recently spent a long holiday weekend at Budnick's Lakeview. The house was exceptionally clean and well appointed. The views from the deck are spectacular, and there's abundant seating so everyone can take in the lovely vistas. The indoor and outdoor amenities offer something for everyone so you'll never get bored: ping pong, billiards, movies, games and puzzles, basketball, pickleball, corn hole, kayaks, etc. The living room with vaulted ceiling has a cozy fireplace for chilly nights, and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare home cooked meals. There's plenty of parking and the home is a short drive to Cooperstown/the Baseball Hall of Fame and other local tourist spots like museums and cider mills. The owner was flexible, easy to work with, and very responsive. Our family had a wonderful time reconnecting and making wonderful memories. We can't wait to visit Budnick's Lakeview again!

Very nice home with a great view... but the signs!

Pros: Amazing view of the lake, nice appliances, comfy beds, well maintained bathrooms, and a fun game room/loft. Close to Cooperstown yet remote enough for peace and quiet. Lots to love about this property, and the owner was pleasant and informative. Master suite was excellent, and the downstairs rooms was pleasantly secluded from the other bedrooms. This home is great to kick back and relax. Cons: Signage is way overkill
 it seemed like the owners were burned before by bad renters because there were signs everywhere telling us what not to do. It gave the impression that we weren’t welcome. A sign here and there is fine but boy was it excessive. Also, not that it was a dealbreaker, but the deck furniture was stored away (including the outdoor fireplace), which made it impossible to enjoy the deck as advertised in the pictures. Weather was terrible, so it wasn’t the end of the world to stay inside, but we selected the property in part because of that deck. The owner gave us the option to carry chairs up from the garage, but that’s not exactly a reasonable solution considering how prominently the deck and furniture was displayed in the pictures. The couch was not up to the same standard as the rest of the house (one even had a noticeable tear) and we noticed a lot of flies at the windows. Overall: Some of the signs need to go, but this is a great place with tons to offer. I’d recommend to others with little hesitation. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Beautiful house with beautiful views

Recently stayed for a long weekend to celebrate my mom’s birthday and the whole family had such a great time. We were less than 20 minutes from downtown Cooperstown (HoF, etc.). One day we had all rain but it didn’t bother us because we got to spend the day at home. It is truly well-maintained, clean, and has all the amenities you need in a rental. The views were absolutely spectacular, and the deck was spacious with nice furniture, gas fireplace, and Weber grill. Would have loved to have more time to spend trying out the kayaks and doing some fishing but hopefully next time. Hosts were super informative, provided lots of information and suggestions. Highly recommended for a stay in the Cooperstown Catskills region!
