Continental Motel - studio with kitchenette close to beach

Recently renovated first floor studio that has a kitchenette and two new Murphy beds (one queen, one double). Color TV and wireless internet, included. This is a dog-friendly room with a maximum of 2 small dogs allowed and a $100 nonrefundable pet fee per dog. Shared laundry facility, and outdoor pool that is open from mid-April to late September, weather permitting. Great location on the Island across the street from the beach access, with the pier only a block away for fishing or riding the waves. The Kindred Spirit is a leisurely 30 - 40-minute walk, which is a good place to sit and contemplate the tranquility of the surroundings. The condominiums are all individually owned and managed as vacation rentals short term in the season, and off-season monthly stays. There is a local market and shops next door and across the street. Also 2 grills are available for grilling and picnic tables for enjoying dining outside. Non-smoking.
Parking is limited - 1 parking pass provided per unit. No exceptions!
Golf carts and boat trailers are not permitted at the Continental Motel.

Neighbors were kind of noisy, but the location made it worth it! Not glamorous place to stay, but it was clean and met the needs of my husband and me.

Great location for a weekend stay

Room is sized well for a weekend visit, would likely be a little on the small side for a week long stay if you have more then two people in your group. Perfect location with beach access, local ice cream shop and village market right across the street. Room was clean, could definitely use some updating, but otherwise met the description. Would stay again for a quick weekend trip.

Cute Place

Stayed here for a quick getaway. Place was nice, small. I loved how close and accessible it was to beach. Area was quiet. I gave 3 since I couldn't select 3.5, for cleanliness because of dust noted behind night stand. I would recommend for a quick getaway. Would likely check out one of the bigger condos. This was a one bedroom with murphy beds. Staff was pleasant and friendly.

Nice property for money

Nice place for value. All we needed! TV didn't work after first day. Silverware tray was dirty. Otherwise cute place!

very small, expensive for the sqft, but otherwise acceptable

The image is very misleading. There is about two feet between the beds and no where to store or put our (4 persons worth) of stuff, luggage or clothing. It does "sleep" 4, but does not accommodate 4 people staying there. There is no place to hang wet things. the folks around were great. We enjoyed the neighbors. I would go back with just myself, off season or for the weekend.

Continental Motel Units

The location was the best-just across the street from beach entrance which is why we stayed there. The unit was advertised as renovated but the shower was in bad shape with mold. Bathroom area was very small. The refrigerator did not work and screen door had ripped screen. Although the refrigerator was replaced I still had to throw out food. The Murphy beds were comfortable and gave us space when stored. I would say this unit was barely adequate.

Cute property

The place was super cute. Second to end on the first floor. Parking right in front of my unit..Loved the location. It was quiet and could hear the ocean waves crashing from the bench outside of my room. Looked just like the pictures! Would definitely stay there again.
