Put your feet up & relax, as you listen to the breeze, birds, cicada & frogs depending on the time of day. Enjoy peaceful sounds & views of nature while being close to all the area has to offer. The completely remodeled property is located less than 5 miles from the Daniel Boone National Forrest & Big Southfork National River & Recreation area for those who enjoy hiking, canoeing, & kayaking or just being outdoors. Historic Stearns with the Scenic Railway & Golfing is less than 3 miles away.

Residence is at the end of a paved road with plenty of privacy and wildlife viewing.

There are 2 fields behind this property for a total of 7.77 acres that you are welcome to explore.

There is a fresh water well in the front yard does have nice spring water with a well bucket and rope so you can experience what it used to be like to draw water from a well prior to indoor plumbing. Since the well cap doesn’t fit tightly there could be some slugs/bugs in the well water, so drinking is not recommended.

The road “Childers Ridge” that you drove in on is a nice place to take a walk but do be observant for the occasional traffic.

There are some grilling utensils on the porch in the wooden cabinet. Wood and seating for the fire pit is provided to help you enjoy the peaceful night sounds in the country..

This property is beautiful and centrally located to many fun activities. Vicki was so easy to work with and gave many ideas on where to eat and fun things to do. I thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This is such a beautiful property with peaceful surroundings. The perfect place to sit on the porch and watch the deer cross the property! We had one simple issue that was taken care of within minutes. Would definitely stay here every opportunity I have!

5 Stars! Lovely home - exceptionally clean, very nicely furnished and supplied with everything you could possibly need plus so many “extras” generously provided by the host - toiletries, coffee, breakfast goodies, sweet treats, bottled water, info on places to see/things to do, and a whole lot more. Enjoyed the lovely setting from both the front and side nicely furnished porches. We’ll be back for sure - thanks, Vicki!

Beautiful little home at the end of the road. Nice and quiet, private, and comfortable. Vicki was quick to address and take of the initial internet issue, and there was no other problem at all! Very satisfied with our stay.

Great stay! Bar area with the bar stools is main eating area(parents w smaller kids just gotta watch them) but nothing bad about it. Beds were great! Love how she had so many extras that was just so nice and hardly anyone does it anymore. Soaps, cookies and small snacks. Had everything u would ever need in my opinion. All around amazing place! Can’t wait to go back! Family friendly! Felt super safe and very quiet. Great location.

We really enjoyed this secluded country side getaway and all the extra touches were very sweet. Would definitely stay again. Wish we had more time here! The little dog Luna that came to visit us daily was a sweetheart also! Five stars. No complaints! Host went above and beyond

Romantic Getaway

This house is the perfect location for a romantic getaway. We celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary and couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay! The decor inside is gorgeous and the property is great for taking walks and enjoying the outdoors. The house was stocked with snacks, special gifts and lots of homey touches making this a wonderful home away from home. We give this property 5 stars!

Would be hard to find a more peaceful quiet area that is still not far from gas, groceries, restaurants and local attractions.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

End of road residence, frequent visits from deer and occasional bears. Nice extras that are provided, salt, pepper, cooking oil, a few snacks, bottled waters, coffees/creamers, in season hot chocolate, smores, firewood. Also puzzles, board games and an outdoor corn toss for guest use available.
