"Equuleus" Lofted Kabin

Summary:
“Equuleus” is a unique lofted pine bunkie offered by “the Kabins by the falls” this is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing time away from the hustle and bustle. With all needed amenities and a beach on beautiful Cameron Lake just steps away from your door.
We are just off the ATV trails and amidst great restaurants, hiking trails, shopping, lakes, parks, and beaches.

The Space:
Equuleus @ The Kabins by the falls is a unique lofted Bunkie Kabin in a cottage resort setting. Our lofted Kabins are brand new stacked pine structures. Tastefully decorated and fully stocked with all needed amenities for a getaway from the hustle and bustle in the city.
We offer gaming consuls, internet, lawn games, fire pit, bbq and more.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the public beach across the road as well a kids jungle gym, paddle boards and lawn games.

The Neighborhood:
Oriole Rd is a tight knit community of seasonal cottagers with an excellent patio restaurant across the street from our property and a marina directly next to the Kabins. This makes for the perfect setting for convenience to enjoy water sport and great food.

Fenelon Falls is a beautiful little town. It is home to lock 34 on the Trent-Severn Waterway between Sturgeon Lake and Cameron Lake.

There are many great restaurants, pubs, shops, a grocery store, Friday farmer’s market and a beautiful waterfront park. All this is within walking distance of The Kabins by the falls.

Getting Around:
We offer 1 parking space per booking. If driving around town isn’t your thing, the ATV trails are 1KM away as well there are boat slip rentals directly across the street.

Other Things to Note:
The activities are endless at "the Kabins by the Falls" with a patio bar across the road, marina directly next door and walking/atv/snowmobile trails very close by.

The loft area is accessed by a ladder. You must be comfortable climbing a ladder to access the sleeping area

Very Cozy

The place was super cute and cozy. Host responded immediately with all our inquiries. 5 mins walk to the lake. Wish the weather was better for us to actually explore.

Great spot for a short getaway. 2 minute walk from a small beach so loved that as I was looking to be close to the water. Really enjoyed my stay. Was quite, relaxing and very clean. Would definitely go back.

Perfect cottage for weekend getaway!

Cottage was really cute and cozy! We enjoyed our stay! Only thing that was not very clear from the listing is that the cottage is not directly on the water, but the access is very close by! About a 10-15 minutes walk from the village! We definitely enjoyed our relaxing time!

Cozy cabin

Would have been excellent if the host responded. There was an issue initially with the Vrbo booking as it would not allow the booking to save as I am a new Vrbo client. It was challenging to find the address of the place and as I had a work trip to the area it would have been kind of them to follow up. The cabin was lovely. The father of the owner was also very pleasant and the location was perfect. Thank you.

Starting with the negatives: -Property is presented as being on the water, and does not clearly identify this is NOT ON WATERFRONT Unfortunately misleading. -As a building code official, I am certain that the unit my wife and I were in is NOT Code compliante. -No smoke detector in the sleeping area. -A book with important details, wifi code, etc. was left under a stack of magazines under the table. Took a few days before we found it, shame. -Ants in kitchan and bedroom screen falling outside at night are also unfortunate. Only way to properly replace is from exterior with a ladder. Positives -Close walking distance to water. -SUP and Kayak's with paddles and life jackets provided, but required safety gear (whistle, boyant rope, leash, etc.) was not provided. -Decent location to get to and from town, great location to bike/walk to Grove Theatre All in all would consider this location again knowing the above.

We have chosen this site because of the perfect location. We have all needed amenities directly around us. Next to us is Fenelon Marina, Across the street is "that place on Cameron" restaurant, and steps away is access to Cameron Lakes via a public park with a sand entrance.
