Bienvenue au Magic Box. Ce gîte de 2 chambres et 1 salle de bains, situé au bord de la rivière Fenelon, offre une grande intimité tout en se trouvant à quelques pas de tout ce que le centre-ville de Fenelon Falls a à offrir, notamment les restaurants, les boutiques, la glacerie Kawartha Dairy, le musée Maryboro Lodge, le parc Garnet Graham, l'écluse n° 34 et les chutes de Fenelon Falls.

Pendant la journée, observez les bateaux depuis un belvédère ombragé surplombant la rivière ou au niveau de l’eau depuis votre propre ponton. Nagez dans la rivière depuis le ponton (soyez prudent car il y a un courant provenant de la cascade en amont) ou rendez-vous à pied au parc Garnet Graham pour vous amuser dans l’aire de jeux aquatiques et vous baigner dans le lac Cameron.

Dînez à l’intérieur, à la fraîcheur de la climatisation, après avoir préparé un repas dans la cuisine bien équipée, ou emportez votre repas dehors, sur la terrasse ou au bord de l’eau, près du belvédère. Le soir, observez les étoiles depuis un hamac, installez-vous autour d’un feu de camp (sous réserve des restrictions en matière d’incendie) ou regardez un film en streaming sur la télévision connectée.

La chambre principale dispose d’un lit queen size et la deuxième chambre d’un lit simple avec un lit gigogne permettant à deux personnes de partager la pièce, même si l’espace est un peu restreint ! Il y a également un canapé-lit double futon dans la cabane au bord de l’eau qui se déplie pour former un lit double, si vous souhaitez vous étendre davantage pendant les mois d’été.

Accessibilité : les deux entrées du gîte comportent plusieurs marches menant à la terrasse. De plus, le bord de l’eau longe une falaise de calcaire peu élevée, avec un sentier descendant vers l’eau. Ce n’est pas idéal pour les locataires à mobilité réduite.

Dégâts sur le ponton : Veuillez noter que les niveaux d'eau élevés de ce printemps ont déstabilisé certains des supports du ponton, en particulier à son extrémité la plus éloignée ; celui-ci risque donc de bouger sous le poids.

Durée de location : Aucune réservation de plus de 28 nuits ne sera acceptée.

Becky provided very thorough and excellent communications. The "Welcome Guide" was very well done.The place was super clean and had all the amenities that I needed. Location was great, it was really nice to be able to go sit next to the river.

Perfect location for bringing a small boat to use the dock for mooring. Close to town. Shower was fantastic..Great fire pit and excellent location for star viewing. Very clean and comfortable with a very responsive and helpful host. Would definitely stay again.

We were very happy with Becky. Even before we booked our stay She got back to me with questions I had. Very nice quiet place where my teenage son could fish and swim off the dock. There was everything we need for our stay.

This is a fantastic location. Close to town 10 min walking distance. The view from the river is exceptional.The host was very responsive and questions were answered in a very timely manner. Very lovely property, modern/updated and comfortable, stocked with everything we needed. Loved being down on the dock beside the river, but lots of other outdoor seating areas to enjoy too. Easy access to the main street of the town and the attractions... walkable even. Becky was a very friendly, helpful and responsive host. Great experience overall, and if we're coming back to the area we won't hesitate to stay here again.

This was the perfect getaway! We loved our weekend away in Fenelon. The dock is a great spot to watch the sunset - and the view of the water from the living room was a great perk. Located close enough to the main strip to walk into town if you want - but definitely not needed as the space has everything you need. Was great for cooking, with a kitchen that was stocked with all the things you might need to cook. Would recommend this spot if you're looking for a quiet time away up north:)

We had a wonderful time at Becky’s Fenelon oasis! The checkin process was incredibly smooth and Becky was very communicative about everything onsite. The kitchen is well stocked and the added bonus of usable laundry facilities was great. The shower pressure was lovely, the river was amazing for floating in, and the cottage was wonderfully air conditioned when we came in side. The cottage is exactly like the pictures and clean as a whistle. Don’t hesitate to make this your new favourite spot!

Amazing Stay! The Magic Box was perfect for our family holiday. The cottage is within walking distance to shops and cafes in Fenelon Falls but also set back from the road and surrounded by trees for a feeling of privacy. Lots of outdoor seating depending on whether you want to sit in the shade or the sun. My husband was reading down on the dock and a good friend of his happened to cruise by and stopped for a chat. There is a roomy bathroom which I liked as most cottages we've rented have the traditional tiny bathroom. I liked the open kitchen/living/dining area to enjoy meals and games with my boys. There is a TV but we didn't use it much except to watch the Jays game. The internet was good for the kids and when I needed to work. No lags.The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a meal. The BBQ was situated very close to the kitchen which was appreciated. There were lots of charging cables which was also handy as I'd forgotten mine.We would love to stay here again.

The house is located in Fenelon Falls, on a quiet street, with a short walk from restaurants, pubs, supermarkets, and the beach. Becky is an excellent host; she provided us with plenty of useful information for our short stay. The house is clean and functional; we were there for only a few days, but I am sure if we’d stayed longer, we would have fully enjoyed the peace and the amenities the house offers.

I grew up in the area but now live in Vancouver. I love having the Magic Box as my home away from home and and it feels like magic how relaxed I feel from the moment I arrive, every time. I can only be there part time so I want to share that magic with others when I can't be there.

I love having a cottage on the river that is still walkable to everything I need. Fenelon has the beauty of the falls, several restaurants, a large grocery store, a great beach park with a playground and splash pad, and a museum with lots of events and activities, all walkable from the cottage!

I never get bored with theatre and concerts available at The Grove Theatre, right in Fenelon Falls, and at Flato Academy Theatre and Lakefield Arts Barn only a short drive away. I enjoy the drive to Kinmount to see the unique Highlands Cinema and Museum and Lindsay Drive-In is always fun.

There are so many things that make this area special but my favorite thing to do in the evenings is to stop at Slices N Scoops for a Kawartha Dairy ice cream cone and walk along the water to watch the sunset from Garnet Graham Beach Park.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

I love sitting at the riverside gazebo and people watching. Many boats go by and neighbors are out and about but the property's trees make it feel quite private. I sit there with my morning coffee when the river is quietest and it starts my day off right. I also sit there for almost every meal, and playing cards and visiting with friends and family. I love the gazebo. I can't imagine a better spot.
