Shaw Island Get Away

Want to get away from it all? Lake Buchanan is full!! Come enjoy time with your family and friends at this spacious home with great views. Enjoy your coffee as the sunrises or your favorite beverage as it sets over the lake. Plenty of room in the kitchen to cook or enjoy BBQing on the large deck. Two living areas with lots of space to hang out. Main kitchen and living are upstairs along with two bedrooms. The downstairs living is a game room with daybeds and trundles as well as two additional bedrooms. The beach is basically at your back door with steps leading into the water. Bring your floats and relax! We'd love to have you at our home on Lake Buchanan.

Outstanding location

My family loved sitting, playing, grilling, and eating on the back patio, with a beautiful view of the lake and surprisingly cool weather and few bugs. The property is rustic, but you can't beat the location on the north shore of Shaw Island and we spent our days renting boats and jet skis in the lake, our afternoons and evenings on the patio, and nights playing games and watching movies inside. It was a fantastic lake vacation!

Family vacation

The house was amazing. Fully stocked with everything that you could possibly need. The views were breathtaking. Our whole family was able to be in one home for vacation, and memories were definitely made. Everything was great! Would definitely stay again

Great Family Stay

We had a large group of 14 and the house was the perfect size. The kids loved sleeping in the game room on the daybeds with trundles. Location was amazing and we pretty much had the water to ourselves, even though it was the weekend right before 4th of July. Beautiful, open living/dining area upstairs allowed us to hang out together with many windows and a great lake view. My favorite spot was outside on the downstairs deck! It was very peaceful and the sunset was amazing!

Stay was good minus the bugs

The property owner was very sweet. The back door didn’t lock, but the area was safe so we weren’t too worried about it. The pictures are accurate. The main concern was all of the spiders and bugs. It is the country, so we expected some but they had cob webs in the corners, by the doors. I’ve been bitten by a brown recluse (a few years ago) so I had a really difficult time relaxing with the numbers of spiders.

Family Reunion

This is a nice house that can accommodate a big family. Has big windows in the back which gives great views of the lake. Only thing my wife didn’t like was the stairs main house is on top floor. House does have an elevator don’t know if it works and didn’t ask. We enjoyed our stay

Great house for families

We had a lovely stay. Absolutely beautiful property with tons of space to for kids to play and explore. The kids loved the downstairs game which they named the party room. We couldn't get over the fact we couldn't hear the kids when they were downstairs, which was great. We can't wait to come back!

Family Getaway

It was a perfect weekend with a Beautiful view to the lake. We enjoyed fishing, swimming, bbq, movies, walking and resting. The house was a perfect size for 12 people. We will be returning.

Great family atmosphere

We had a great time at this lake house! The access to the outdoor space and the scenery were perfect. The pictures do not do this house justice. Water level was low but enough water to enjoy a day out in the lake. My daughter is small for her 7 years but enjoyed walking out into the water. We had a great night around the foozeball table and used the bbq grill every day! Thank you for allowing us into your home!

The house is at the end of a street, which makes for a quiet setting. Most of the neighbors are full time residents and are very friendly.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The lake is full and we are steps from the water. We sit on the open lake so we always have access to water. The large decks make family time fun and the views from upstairs are beautiful. You won't want to miss the sunsets.
