Water Trough HIll is located 3 Miles from Lexington, 4 miles from Buena Vista and 5 miles to the Virginia Horse Center. Guest favorite for a private large open spacious house with amazing views and photography of wildlife. There is a extra Guest fee after 3 Guests of $35 each per night. The house will comfortably sleep up to 11 guests.

Amazing host! The most beautiful 360 degree views! Every room had incredible Mountain Views. Very peaceful setting with lots of room for our family. House had so much charm with the original oak and pine wood floors.

We had a wonderful time at Water Through Hill! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed! Stephanie was a wonderful hostess. Communication was prompt and informative. This spacious location is convenient to Lexington and shops.

House is bigger than it looks in the pictures! Beds were super comfortable and the house was well stocked with everything you need for a visit. We were in town for my son’s wedding and hosted a family dinner for 20 people one night with plenty of areas for people to sit, chat and play games. Great communication with host and woke up with deer in the yard every morning Uoulp be surrounded by great views with plenty of outdoor space to enjoy them.

The house was very large and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The views from the front and back of the house were beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on the sun porch each afternoon as it was a little too cool to sit on the front porch. The host was very responsive and went above and beyond during our stay. My only complaint would be that the house could use a good dusting and window washing. I stayed with my 3 sisters and we would definitely stay at Water Trough Hill again. Thanks

3 sets of sisters (7 of us) spent a delightful long weekend at Water Trough Hill. The house met our needs perfectly! Lots of room to spread out; 4 bathrooms was a bonus; the views are amazing with outstanding sunsets; the kitchen is well stocked; there was plenty of hot water and lots of big fluffy towels. Stephanie is a great hostess. She had the house opened up for us, fruit on the counter and milk in the fridge. She was very responsive to any inquiry we made and was happy to introduce us to her ponies. We would love to stay at Water Trough Hill again!

Comfortable, spacious home in a gorgeous setting. Clean, well-furnished and tastefully decorated. Four college friends gathered for the first time in many years. This was the perfect place for a relaxing, great time.

This house was large and extremely well kept and fully stocked with anything and everything. Stephanie is a very attentive and personable host. Our stay here was very enjoyable and we hope to do it again in the near future. The 360 Mountain views are the best.

My family came for a visit so my son could check out VMI. The host was amazing and so responsive. The property was nice distance from VMI and provided the perfect retreat. We loved all the wildlife that we saw during our stay.

Wonderful and close to everything

We were stopping through on our way to the Great Smoky Mountains and had a lovely time here. It was exactly what we were looking for. The house has ample space and is nice and quiet. Make sure to do the Lexington Carriage Company historic tour, very informative!

GREAT Location and Amenities

We really enjoyed our stay at this home - it was SPOTLESS, very well appointed with many "extras" provided by the owner. Great common spaces, including a porch and outdoor patio. While we were only two, this is a great place for a group. The mountain views are really lovely. We would definitely stay here again. Only minutes from Lexington.

A gym in the Blue Ridge

For a quick getaway birthday weekend, we took the family and the kids friends for a trip to Lexington. We spent the day at natural Bridge and came home to a wonderfully delightful house! Everyone had ample room for private time as well as well laid out dining and family rooms for games. The mid teenage kids played a variation of Flashlight tag in the fence in property. The views are absolutely amazing picture and look unreal! We stayed at VBROs quite often. The host was so wonderful leaving half gallon of milk, full-size toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, and soap.. Just an absolutely lovely place to stay five stars does not truly encompass. How wonderful of a home and a host this property is.If we’re back in Lexington, for some reason, we hope to be able to stay here once again

Family wedding weekend

Very comfortable house, in a beautiful location. The house is exactly as shown in the photos. The bedrooms are very large, with comfortable beds. There were 8 adults in our group, 4 couples and there was plenty of space for all of us.

Perfect Stay

Everything about this stay was excellent. From the communication with Stephanie before arriving to the cleanliness and thoughtful touches of the home to the beautiful views - it was a wonderful place to spend Thanksgiving! (Stephanie even brought over fruit, milk, and ice - so lovely!) The home had everything you would need and more! The kitchen was very well stocked with everything to cook a big Thanksgiving meal! Stephanie had all the basics in the bathrooms, plus extra toothbrushes and razors if you forgot yours. The towels and blankets were soft and plush. It was the best place to relax, get comfy, and enjoy family time. It is a little over an hour from Monticello, about 25 minutes from the natural bridge, and 5 minutes from downtown Lexington. Make time to visit downtown while you are there. The town is cute, the shops are great, and be sure to visit TAPS. It is a classy and fun hangout. I hope we can visit again!

Beautiful Views!

Our favorite feature of this house is the beautiful views from all windows. The rooms are spacious and clean. The house is well-stocked with toiletries, kitchen and laundry products, thick towels, etc. - more than other places we’ve rented. Stephanie is a pleasure! We were seeking a quiet week of relaxation, and this rental was perfect for that. But, there is much to do in the area and plenty of space for children to play inside or outside.

Wedding weekend trip
