The cabin was amazing. Very clean and everything you needed for the stay. Our stay was great and we will definitely book again in the future. The pictures online don’t do it justice. Beautiful cabin and breath taking views.

We enjoyed the stay very much. Quiet and peaceful with amazing views. The host provided charcoal for the grill and wood for the fire place which we took advantage of. Would love to visit again in the future.

Amazing property

I was attending a wedding in the Topton area. I was not familiar with the area at all. (It is close to the 129 dragons tail). The home is breathtaking and the views are amazing! I was unaware of the fact that it is a guest house of a husband and wife. I was told as soon as I booked that it was a guest house. I met the couple by chance and they were absolutely kind, welcoming, and completely unobtrusive. Such a wonderful couple who rescued an amazing dog from the wild! The house is beautiful, clean, and all of the extra amenities were fantastic! Thank you!

Heaven on a Mountaintop

I am at a loss for words to describe this place. Pictures don't do it justice. If you're looking at this listing, don't hesitate and just book it. The hosts are amazing! You will not regret this rental.

Incredible value! Gorgeous home, stunning views!

This ridiculously gorgeous property could easily be featured in House Beautiful. The view is spectacular but trees are starting to overtake it a bit. Owner Tom says he will remedy that soon so no problem there. Melissa & Tom are friendly and prompt with communication, just what you want in hosts. The house is quite a ways to significant towns so I would advise getting all your groceries on the way there. For us, that would have been Bryson City, about an hour away. Many beautiful locations to pull over to enjoy the views and river, though, so trips anywhere are stunning. Note: If you’re coming from the Bryson City area, DO NOT take Winding Stairs rd off of US 19/74 as it is a narrow, winding, treacherous road with scary drop-offs. Go a little further down 19/74 and turn onto Wayah Rd. That will take you to the safer portion of Winding Stairs rd, which you will turn left on. Oh, I forgot to mention the outdoor fireplace: WOW! Easy start and they even provide all the firewood!

Amazing stay, views, and property.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here very much. The hosts ensured we had a good experience. The views from the deck are breathtaking, especially at sunset. The covered patio was great for hanging out by a fire. And the house was immaculate. We wanted for nothing on this trip! Wish we could have reserved longer but we had other commitments. One of the best experiences we’ve had through VRBO. We’ve been renting around 3x a year for approximately 10 years now.

Spectacular and relaxing

What you see in the pics is what you get! Tom and Melissa have a gorgeous home with incredible, expansive mountain views. They've anticipated and provided for their guests needs, and as an extra touch made some delicious banana bread as a welcome! We enjoyed hiking, viewing waterfalls in the area, and using their offered kayaks on lovely Queens Creek Lake. We had a great Friday night fish fry dinner at the Lands End Bar & Grill on Nantahala Lake nearby, but we also enjoyed cooking our own meals in their well-outfitted kitchen. If you're looking for restorative natural beauty along with all the comforts of home, this is the spot for you. Thanks again for a wonderful stay, Melissa and Tom!

Amazing property

Melissa is amazing & so is view! The photos don’t do the place justice and everything was so incredibly clean! Melissa was very communicative and I wish we could have stayed additional days! We loved the location of the home! Close to whitewater,rafting and fishing. We will definitely be returning soon. Thanks for everything Melissa!
