Bolivar Peninsula Beach House

Fun in the sun. The home was clean, nice and relatively new or remodeled. We rented a golf cart and it was a very short drive to the beach. We easily enjoyed the beach and could run back to the house if anyone needed something. I would recommend to a friend.

Not bad.

We enjoyed our stay. The house was very roomy. The AC upstairs wasnt great. Upon arrival the house wasnt very clean. The floors had not been mopped, and the bathrooms weren't as clean as they should've been. Word of advice, do not accidentally leave any items behind, as they ensure they'll be returned, but 3 months later, and no result. My absent minded son left his backpack containing his xbox behind, we realized this and contacted the host within 4hrs of checkout. We were informed the "cleaning crew" located the item and would be shipped to us. We even purchased the shipping label. As of yet, they are still "checking with their team." I have been very patient, but I guess I need to accept that he will never get his xbox back that he paid for himself. So, if youre reading this and do decide to book, and see an xbox at the home, just know it belongs to a good, hardworking young boy.

Not a happy camper

This was suppose to be a weekend full of family fun. I received a call from the rental company on the way, at 3:00 pm, to the beach house asking when I would be there. This should have set off alarm bells since I have rented MANY cabins before and have never had a phone call asking questions on when I would be arriving, how many cars would be there, what the plate numbers were, and more. I told them that I would arrive at the cabin by 4 which is what that contract said I could, I would have the amount of people that I said I was on the contract and that I did not have plate numbers to give. At 3:45 i receive an email, that I didn't not see until we were already at the cabin, that the house would not be ready. Let me just say the cabin was a COMPLETE wreck! There was food in the beds and all over the floors, dirty dish, coffee in the coffee pot, no clean sheets, trash everywhere, no trash bags, no cleaning supplies, no one to tell me when it would be cleaned, the refrigerator was disgusting and the freezer was broke. We cleaned the fridge so we could get our cold stuff put up. After finally talking to "one of the owners" I was told someone would be there shortly and they were sorry about the mix up. We were not able to get in to enjoy our family time till after 10 PM! Check-in is at 4 pm and check-out is 10 am. There was plenty of time for this to be cleaned!!! I was told we would get the cleaning deposit and half a day of rental back. Still have not received any.
