Our home and area are in great working order even after the recent October 2024 hurricanes.

Welcome to Sunrise Palms located only 2.5 miles to the Gulf Of Mexico! This updated home
comfortably sleeps 6 guests in total and home is truly set up for relaxation.

The backyard is fully fenced to play games, sunbath or entertain. The outdoor area provides a comfortable couch and space for dining. The string lights and fans help to provide a cool, vacation feel in the lanai. The pool is heated and has colored lights in it for night swimming. Enjoy your coffee in the morning on the lanai listening to the birds chirp as the sunrises over the pool palm trees.

Inside the home you will find a fully stocked kitchen (although no dishwasher), dining area for 6, and living room with flat screen TV and free Wi-Fi.
The Master bedroom has a King bed, guest bedroom #1 with queen bed, and guest bedroom #2 with two twin beds. Bedrooms have a shared bathroom with shower/tub combo and an extra full bath off of the kitchen/garage area (no a/c in this bathroom).

This home is centrally located in the town of Englewood - it is close distance to the Englewood Public Beach, the grocery store, and Historic downtown Dearborn Street offering charming locally owned restaurants ,coffee shops, boutiques, live music, shows, and more. The home is walking distance to lemon bay Park, and Indian Mound Park for sunsets over the bay. Enjoy sunrises from the home Lanai over the pool and backyard palm trees. Rent a street legal golf cart for easy access to these fun areas, go for a dolphin cruise or just enjoy some live music while tasting the most amazing tropical drinks on Dearborn street.

The homeowner will consider a well behaved pet upon approval with a non-refundable pet fee.

Holiday Vacation Stay

We had an overall great stay! Location is excellent for groceries, beaches, fishing and short day trip opportunities. We enjoyed the heated pool, grill and outdoor seating.

We will return

Loved the lanai’s, the large fenced in yard and the pool. We were close to the beach and restaurants and walked to the shops, Farmers Market and restaurants on Dearborn St. Publix is also walking distance. Very Friendly neighborhood also!

Very relaxing time away from the cold

The house, the host, and the town of Englewood were all wonderful. The heated pool and the Lanai were so relaxing, a must have in my opinion!! The price was very affordable, the house was spacious, clean, and modern. Would 100% visit again!!

Host was incredibly responsive to our concerns (which were few)

It was a perfect retreat for my husband & me plus our daughter and son-in-law. The host was very generous. The place is perfect and much cheaper than a hotel room during this time, plus we had a 3 bedroom, 2 bath of our own with a garage and fenced in yard and a POOL! Won't find a better place ever!!!

Beautiful home, beautiful home, beautiful pool and backyard!! Communication between the host and I was fantastic! She kept me up to date on all the happenings and maintenance around the house and was so kind! Would absolutely recommend and we look forward to staying here again when in the area!

Great place with a pool!

Nice clean house, great pool, plenty of room. Updated kitchen was perfect. A second washroom was a huge bonus as we had 6 in our party. Beach was 10 min drive away, everything you need is close by. Check in was easy.

Good Location

We stayed here for six nights. Overall it was nice. It was a short walk to Dearborn Street which has a super farmer’s market! The home was not very well stocked. The main bathroom had a 1/4 roll of toilet paper and there was no extra rolls! No outlet in main bathroom. No ceiling fan in second bedroom.

I booked this property because of the heated pool, and the heater was broken. I contacted them immediately when I arrived. They initially said it was working so I waited overnight and it was still ice cold. They never said sorry in any of our correspondences. I did all the trouble shooting including seeing if the circuit breaker had been tripped. They said they would send a pool guy out the next day and would tell me when he was there. Instead, 2 days later a guy walks in the backyard with no warning. I finally asked about refunding some money on my final day, and was told we could wait to talk about that until after the pool was fixed, which would happen after I left. I pointed out that comparable properties were 600 less for the week, they refunded 250 and I had to ask for the heating fee to also be refunded (I think they were going to keep a fee for running a broken heater). Saying sorry or offering the refund instead of making me ask for it would have gone a long way. Additionally, they skimped on basics that would have made the stay a lot nicer. There was very little toilet paper (bizarrely another review says this and it hasn't been fixed), there was not ice tray and the ice maker didn't work, no soap/shampoo in the showers. I would definitely stay elsewhere in the future, although this property under different management would be great because it was a nice house with a great backyard space.

Hi Emma, I am sorry you decided to give us a poor review. We had the pool heater checked the day before your arrival. When you text we daid we just had it checked let's make sure a circuit didnt pop. We apologized for the inconvience many of times. We immediately called a pool guy and he came out on his first available. The pool company said they would call a half an hour before arrival and did not. You demanded lower nightly rates for your entire stay. We gave you a significant refund and fixed the pool heater at the first available the pool company could fix it. Thanks Jen

Trip to Englewood

Jen was easy to work with, really the only situation that came up was dryer quit working and she had a repair technician there the next day! Inside of house was super clean and cutely decorated. Lots of towels and blankets and the best Tommy Bahama beach chairs. Pool was great, perfect size and warm! Nice sitting area and fenced in backyard for our dog. House was within walking distance to Dearborn street and a quick drive to beaches and restaurants. I would say the only takeaway was neighbors next door have a mess in their yard, pretty junky looking, but someone said they are moving away. All the other neighbors are great and made some new friends there. There are three nice sized bedrooms and two bathrooms, but one of them is in the garage which was different for us. Overall we enjoyed the place and Englewood in general!

Overall ok

The pool isn’t covered as pictured, I suspect secondary to the recent hurricane, but it would have been nice to know before coming. There were issues with sugar ants in the kitchen and large flying roaches. I noticed some evidence of water damage in the guest bedroom on our final night as well that by the time of noticing it was too late to do anything about in terms finding a new location from concern for mold/mildew. The property location was in a reasonably close proximity to the beach but the neighborhood was not as anticipated. There were police at the neighbor’s house for a domestic dispute and the following night a very loud and late argument amongst them that didn’t make us feel very safe. Jen was easy to reach and tried to accommodate some concerns with cleaning and the pool needing servicing.

Thank you for your review, Lisa. There is a note in the pool description of this property that the pool is not covered. I also provided you as well as all of our guest with an email letting them know the pool was not covered. In addition I provided you with detailed information on parks, beaches, bike trails and things to do in the area. Thank you for mentioning that I was easy to reach. We were in daily communication during your stay. I tried to address your concern that there were some ants and you believe some crumbs were on the floor. When I offered to have the cleaning people come back and take care of this ant/crumb concern, you refused the service. Then I had the pool company out there within an hour after you text that the pool was "slightly more green" then the day before. The pool company took care of the pool and did not report any problems with water color or the pool chemicals. You then said that you found large cockroaches in the back of the cabinet behind the garbage can. I had an exterminator to the house. They removed the garbage can, checked the house for leaks (as ants will be attracted to that) checked the washer/dryer, checked the entire home. They said that they could not find evidence of one cockroach and there was no problems with Ants. They were however, very concerned that whomever had been in the home had a tremendous amount of bug traps (the sticky kind) hanging everywhere. They said they were extensive and of a large concern. They explained that these devices pull ants and cockroaches into your home. The sticky material attracts them and they will come into the home to get to them. I paid to have them removed! I am sorry that you experienced a dispute in the neighborhood. We have never had a problem with any of the neighbors whom have been kind and all are in touch with me via phone as they watch over our home. In addition, we have had numerous guests at our home and we have never had a guest that has presented with a concern with the neighbors. There is one other neighbor that occasionally rents there home. I am not aware of the situation that you are referring to but that may not have been someone that lives in the area full time. My husband and I own a design/build firm with an extensively positive reputation. We take great care of our home. Neglect from leaks and/or mold is not something that will be found in one of our homes. I wish you and your family many blessings, Jen

Lovely quiet pool and backyard bargain at a modest house

Our five-star rating is predicated on this house being tops in its class, not for being luxurious: a real bargain for a beautiful, private swimming pool in a nice fenced backyard. The house is modest but newly furnished and comfortable. We spent part of everyday by the pool thinking of the ice storms back home. The pool area is quiet and private, except for a voluble mockingbird that we loved. Englewood is not fancy and the neighborhood houses are small, with many in the process of repairs following hurricane Ian. The neighbors are mostly friendly snowbirds or retired couples from the upper Midwest, including many veterans. A Publix is close by and a small entertainment area on nearby Dearborn Street has an assortment of informal restaurants. Our favorites were Café Culture for morning coffee, Englewoods on Dearborn for dinner food and entertainment, and Lock ‘N Key on the beach--but there are several other fun options. Some of the restaurants have lively happy hours. The house is a great place to bring a dog, given the backyard. But, on night walks, it’s dark and beware of possums and armadillos if your dog chases prey. Our goldendoodle loved it. PS Large televisions.

Great location, Not far from beach, If not your thing , there is a beautiful heated pool ,

3 good size bedrooms.. If we head that way again, I would give them a call..
