Go back in time and slow down at this cozy beach cottage. A contemporary cottage with the feel of being in the 1950's. Only 90 miles from NYC and accessible by train (Long Island Railroad) and bus (Hampton Jitney). You don't have to worry about getting sand in this house, it is the ultimate surf shack. Comfortably sleeps 8, with 2 queens and 2 twin bunk beds. Sit outside and have happy hour after a fun filled day at the beach.

It's All About the Location

The big draw for this house is the location. It's a five minute walk to the beach. Lovely neighbors, very dog friendly area. My dog had the time of his life meeting the other dogs in the neighborhood and playing on the beach. The house is really a bare bones cabin. No frills at all. There are a few conveniences that could be added that would really take the house to the next level. But if the most important thing to you is location, as it was for me, this is the spot for you!

Nice Vacation with family Beach is beautiful

It is difficult to find this home in this small neighborhood with one way streets which made it more difficult and the home #s do not go in order , google maps brought us to harbor drive ..not clearly marked and neighbors seemed less than pleased with visitors. "he wanted to know the address and the family name of who we were looking for...." anyway once found it is pretty much as described, except for the outdoor shower which does work , but it is really dirty cob webs and grit so did not use . The kitchen was well equipped , grill and deck is nice , games were great . Sleeping area very hot when we were there took at least 24 hours to cool off . The window screens open up into the brush, which provides privacy, but may have prevented some air flow if that was cut back.. Small ants in first bedroom and kitchen , do not leave food out. Location to beautiful beach was fantastic! I would consider returning . Thank you for the bottle of wine and the tips in the book.

Relaxing beach vacation

The house was in a perfect location, walking distance to the beach which was not over crowded by out of town visitors. The owner of the house was very responsive and helpful by providing a binder full of local information and answered any questions we had promptly. She even left us a welcome gift of flowers, toiletries, and a bottle of wine. The house can easily accommodate 2 families with 4 kids sharing the bunk bed room. After spending a day at the beach we would hose off the children in the outside shower then fire up the grill to eat dinner on the deck. The house was well equipped with all of the cooking equipment needed, utensils, and china. The beds were all comfortable and the owner provided plenty of bath towels and 4 beach towels. The full bathroom was equipped with a washer and dryer with 4 laundry pods so we were able to wash our dirty beach towels every night. We enjoyed our stay at the beach house and would definitely return again.

Lovely getaway

Perfect spot for a low-key beach getaway. House is a 3-minute walk to the beach in a friendly and uncrowded neighborhood, no problems distancing. The house itself is very quiet and gets a nice breeze; even on humid days we weren’t tempted to turn on the A/C (I believe there’s AC in the living room.) The home is rustic but well-stocked. Comes with sheets, towels, beach chairs, full set of plates and silverware. The hosts left a gift bag with a bottle of wine, sunscreen, and some sundries & snacks. Nice touch. Would definitely stay again.

Pond Point beach cottage was great family fun!

The house was just what we needed for two weeks of family fun this summer! It is a bit rustic but it was clean and fresh, had a simple layout, and everything was well-thought-out in the home. Beds were comfy, kitchen was clean and new, the deck was a pleasure and the neighborhood cannot be beat! there is only one room AC in the house and if you hit a very hot week like we did it can fall short but most days the breeze and ceiling fans are enough to feel comfortable! Would definitely rent this house again!

Cozy Beach Bungalow

Becca, the owner, was quick to respond to all questions and check-in was easy. She left us flowers and treats. House was exactly as described and had everything that was listed. Kitchen had everything we needed and we were able to make a nice breakfast each morning and eat out on the lovely deck. The bedrooms had comfy beds and there was room for everyone. The bathrooms are in need of updating. We weren’t told that the outdoor shower was in working order, so we didn’t try it. Fortunately, we had perfect weather and spent our days at the beautiful (and mostly empty beach), which was very close to the house. The house is a short drive from the town and supermarket. We enjoyed our stay in Westhampton - It’s a lovely beach town!

Thank you for the review. I am so sorry you didn’t think the out door shower worked, and that I didn’t think about telling you that it did work. I will make sure that the others renting this summer know that it does work. I hope to be able to upgrade bathrooms in the future. I am new to renting and will take all comments to heart. I hope the three stars wont effect others in making a decision to rent the house, but do appreciate the critique and suggestions. Thanks again.
