We had such an amazing stay! The home was better than expected. We loved all the game choices and the home was well stocked. We got to enjoy watching the deer that came up to the property. DeeDee was prompt in communicating and checking in and out was a breeze. We will definitely be returning!

We had a fabulous stay. Everyone enjoyed it. The house was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The host was easy to contact and very responsive.

The house was very spacious and comfortable with a nice deck. Although kitchen appliances are outdated, like many of these mountain cabins, everything was in good working order and well-kept. We had everything we needed for cooking meals at home. Deedee was very responsive and even helped us figure out some activities in the area. The king bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. It is worth noting that the neighbors on one side are in close proximity and you do hear a lot of their comings and goings.

Great location

We had such a wonderful time. The house was in great shape, near everything, and great amenities. We will definitely be staying here again next snow season. Highly recommend.

Great for families!

Hi DeeDee, We couldn’t have asked for a nicer home for our mini get away. It was also a great house for our granddaughters—downstairs with bunk beds, games and tv. We hope to revisit in the summer!

My mom, friend, and I had a wonderful stay here. It was clean, had all necessary amenities provided, and is conveniently located near the local eating establishments and town grocer. Parking at the property was easy and spacious. Our host was awesome, generous, thoughtful and accommodating and communicated with us throughout our stay. We especially enjoyed watching the deer from the deck when evening started setting in. A relaxing experience and we’ll be sure to stay here again should the opportunity arise.

Another Wonderful Stay!

We spent another weekend visiting our daughter in the area. We had an issue with the dryer but the owners sent over their handyman and he fixed it right away! Looking forward staying here again!

Excellent house

Beautiful home super clean and very responsive owner. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Had everything we could possibly need and more. Including seeing deer each day from the deck. We absolutely loved staying here and will definitely rent again.

Acre of Nature

A very pleasant and peaceful cabin. It's conveniently located near Arnold and Calaveras Big Trees State Park. Our 12 year old really appreciated the downstairs room as it was fully set up for kids with bunk beds, games, smart tv, etc

Great place though having a blower battery charged) fir the outside would have been great….deck area was a disaster and hadnt been blown clean for some time…

Thanks for the review! I’m glad you enjoyed our place. Part of what makes our deck so amazing is the beautiful trees that surround it! Unfortunately, those beautiful trees also drop lots of leaves! Nature is fun like that! We blow every time we come to the house (monthly or so), and as mentioned in our welcome book, we have an outdoor broom located in the garage for your use. Labor Day Weekend Stay

We had a lovely long weekend at “An Acre of Nature”. Dee Dee was great to work with, she sent us a lot of information about the house and check-in was super easy. The house was very clean and very well furnished with pots and pans/ linens/pet supplies. They even provided firewood. The view off the back deck is beautiful.

Great family friendly experience.

We had a great stay at this family friendly house. Our kids loved the downstairs setup with lots of toys, games and books. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed and made meals a breeze. The house was clean and had every amenity we needed to enjoy our family time together. We have nothing but great things to say about the house and the attentive responses of the host, we would highly recommend.

Snow Play!

We had a wonderful stay. Everything was clean and well equipped. We like to cook and the kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were super comfortable and the wood stove kept us cozy. We followed the hosts advice and got snow park passes at Ebbert’s Pass Sporting Goods. The wifi worked great and so did the sound system. We couldn’t ask for more!

Comfortable, Relaxing Weekend

We were in the area to visit our daughter who works nearby. The location was perfect and very easy to get to. Home is as advertised - the AC works wonderfully keeping us cool in 100+ degree weather. Our dog loved roaming and exploring the property. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

New Years 2023

The cabin in Arnold was a nice getaway for New Years. While we were hoping for snow, Mother Nature had other plans. We still enjoyed relaxing in from of the wood burning fire place. DeeDee was very responsive and check in was easy.

Great layout and ample space

This house has a fantastic layout - loved the garage with access to the house, the open floor plan, and the epic kids room downstairs. The kitchen could use some improvements both in the cleanliness and the stocked dishes and tools. If you are picky about pillows as I am, i would recommend bringing your own as the house’s were pretty old.

Sarah, I'm so happy to hear that you enjoyed our home. I am terribly sorry to hear the dishes weren't well cleaned. I am sending someone out to service the dishwasher, as perhaps that is the problem. Additionally, prior guests may not have had the same standard of cleanliness as me or you, and perhaps put away items that weren't cleaned well :( :( I am surprised to hear you couldn't find the perfect pillow - our closets are well stocked with plenty of options!

Winter Wonderland!

We had a wonderfull time at the cabin. It had just snowed several feet and we were able to make some great memories sledding with our little ones in the backyard. We had 4 adults and 5 children and we had more than enough room for everyone to be comfy. Everything was clean and there were plenty of linnens for all of our needs. I'm sure we will be back!

A Perfect Retreat

Home was beautiful and well kept. Plenty of things to occupy our time though we mostly chose to relish in the peaceful quiet of nature. A/C was nice given that it was a bit warmer than expected during the day. Owner was very responsive and home was well stocked. Neighbors were a bit noisy during the day with fixing motorcycles but otherwise all was quiet. Overall it was a great place to relax and get away. Would definitely book again!
