Great stay for fishermen. Plenty of parking felt safe the whole trip with boat sitting outside. Our host was more than accommodating, trip was a 10/10

This is such a charming little home and decorated beautifully. The beds were comfortable. The outdoor areas were nice when it wasn't too cold to be outside. Convenient location. The property is peaceful and beautiful. I definitely recommend this for a girls trip or a family weekend.

We travelled to Cullman for Rock the South. We had a great time. Overall, this is a cute little lake house. We had a great time fishing off dock. No swimming though because it is very swampy looking. The house was overall clean however the kitchen was very outdated and the refrigerator was not clean at all…the pots and utensils are very outdated. No tvs in the bedrooms so it makes for a peaceful stay. Overall, it’s a great little fishing house!

This property was advertised as lakefront, but there was no water during our stay. The photo showing a scenic waterfront was completely inaccurate—there was no place to fish, kayak, or even enjoy the view. The dock led to dry land. Inside, the appliances were outdated and barely functional. There was no storage space, so we had to use the beds as makeshift drawers for our clothes. It’s clear the place could have potential, but it desperately needs investment and upkeep the tv only had a limited amount of channels.To make matters worse, the host initially promised a partial refund due to the false advertising—but never followed through. When we raised concerns, she became rude and even resorted to name-calling.This experience was deeply disappointing. I strongly recommend avoiding this listing until the owner makes serious improvements and learns how to treat guests with respect.

Well you did it Tony... You said that if I did not give you a refund that you would give me a bad review. But you and your wife are liars! #1 you said that you were from Cullman and wanted to have a reunion with about 15 people. When I oked that amount of people to visit but not stay the night you booked. #2 There was never any conversation about fishing, kayaking or ESPN. #3 The day before you showed up, you began your crap. I arranged for you to check in early just like you asked. #4 When you got to the property you began complaining about everything and asked to be compensated for the water being low. It's October on Smith Lake. If you lived in Vinemont till you were 45 year old and fished Smith Lake all your life, you should have know the water would have been low. If you had mentioned that you wanted to fish and kayak, I would have let you know that you could have used my dock where we put the kayaks in the water. You could fish from my dock too. (About 4 docks from the property. The water was fine) #5 You and your wife had 4 closets to hang your cloths in with shelving in all 4 for other things. #6 You and your wife called Vrbo and asked for a refund because.... You said the outside grill was dirty (but it was not! Even the picture that you sent to Vrbo showed that the grill was clean) and the sink stopper was difficult to get out.!! Really!! #7 The Dish TV is always been great. Never any complaints. It has plenty of TV. It does not ESPN! That is a Premium Channel that i do not pay for. Tony...if you and your wife had not been so ugly to me on the phone and threatening me by text!!! I could have added the ballgame that you wanted to watch. Also, you got a discount when you booked of $53 per night. (Last minute booking Discount) Your text said that you asked all your family members from the Cullman area to spread bad reviews about me and my property. THE TRUTH.... Tony and his wife were trying to get there money back from the minute they showed up. They has planned this from the start. Probably have done this to other host. Tony and his wife paid $765 for a 4 night stay on a beautiful area of Smith Lake (Trimble). I would say to Tony and his wife....that if you can not afford to go on vacation...you should stay at home!
