Visit with my sister

I had to arrange a short notice visit to see my sister in Corinth due to some health issues. The whole family decided it would be best to visit her before her chemo. This home was perfect in every way for every member of the family. The kids got to swim and the adults were able to comfortably relax and spend time together. The home was clean, comfortable and the host was accommodating. We hope to be back in the future!

Where do I begin? This place was just meh…The photos do it way more justice than it deserves, and the descriptions are misleading. The good part: It is a large home that will accommodate a number of people bedroom wise, and the kitchen was fairly well stocked. The pillows were surprisingly satisfactory, as well as the linens. They stocked an abundance of washcloths in the bathrooms, so that’s a plus. The homes proximity to the open space and walking trail is nice, and the community raccoons were lovely entertainment at night. The not so good part: The furnishings are decent, but not nice, especially in the living room and outside. The outdoor furniture and windows to the yard were very dirty with dust and the pool was a mess. The beds vary from decently comfortable to not comfortable at all. There are no kitchen towels available at all, but we used a bath towel and there were extra paper towels. One night it was very windy and due to a broken latch, the lid to the hot tub would fly open making a loud banging noise. It wasn’t terrible, but just okay, and in my opinion, not worth the money.

Nice place, as described, nice location, pre check-in communication was intrusive

We were a family of 6 with a teen guest and the home was spacious, well appointed and clean. The check-in was easy, beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for everyone. We did lots of cooking in the kitchen and it had everything we needed. There were uncooked eggs and yolks in the dishwasher so we re-washed everything. The master bathroom is a spacious dream bathroom, the furniture throughout is comfortable, a bit basic. The steps to go upstairs are unusually steep. The communication after I paid on VRBO with the property mgr, Gold Nest, was very odd to me, lots of personal questions of who, their ages, why in town, etc, that came across over more than 7 individual emails, one question at a time before they would "approve" the stay. They have a noise monitor, which was not a problem, but my first time with a VRBO that had one. After all the questions and a noise monitor and camera at front, the mgmnt team came across as intrusive. It ended up being a great stay, no issues and clean so all worked out. The home directly next door is in very poor shape and being worked on but didn't impact us, and the neighborhood has signs all over saying they don't want rentals properties in the neighborhood, also didn't impact us.

Thank you for your detailed review Mike! We're thrilled your family enjoyed the home and found it spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped for your stay. It’s great to hear that you made good use of the kitchen and loved the master bathroom! We appreciate your honest feedback about the check-in process and communication. The preliminary questions we ask are in place to ensure transparency, such as verifying the number of guests and cars, as well as confirming the age of guests. This helps us minimize any potential issues and ensures a smooth stay for everyone. The noise monitor and camera are meant to maintain a positive experience for everyone, but we completely understand how they might feel unusual if it’s your first time encountering them. Thank you for pointing out the dishwasher issue. That has been addressed. We're happy to hear that the neighborhood situation didn’t impact your stay. We’ll continue to work on making sure every part of the experience is as seamless as possible. Hope we can host you again in the future for another smooth and enjoyable stay!
