Evergreen – Cozy Log Home in the Heart of Canaan Valley

Welcome to Evergreen, a charming 3-bedroom, 3-bath log home nestled in the heart of Canaan Valley. This cozy retreat is within walking distance of Mirror Lake and its surrounding trails, offering a perfect blend of nature and convenience. Davis and Thomas are just a short drive away, giving you easy access to both adventure and local charm.

The home features a spacious open living and kitchen area with vaulted ceilings and a cozy gas fireplace, making it a great space to relax and unwind. The primary suite is a wonderful retreat, while the two queen bedrooms on the main floor offer comfort and convenience for all guests.

The lower level adds even more value, with additional sleeping space and a fun game room equipped with a pool table. Outdoors, enjoy grilling on the back deck, which overlooks a spacious backyard, or gather around the new firepit for an evening of relaxation under the stars.

A lovely house with so much room, well stocked kitchen supplies, a great hot tub for after a big ski session, and the hosts are so wonderful and super responsive!

Great Stay!

We had a great stay at this property! Ten family members spent the better part of a week skating, tubing, skiing, and hiking. We also played games, watched movies, and just hung out! The property worked quite well for all of us. I would easily recommend to others.

Great area, Nice location.

Nice cabin/house, great location, easy to check in and out. The hot tub was well maintained. There is plenty of room for everyone and the kitchen is stocked well enough where you can cook if you want to. My only complaint is that the majority of the windows don’t want to open/shut very well so that could be problematic.

What a beautiful place

I thoroughly enjoyed everything about our rental. The only thing I would suggest is some good frying pans. Everything stuck like crazy. Other than that, I loved it. The owner and I definitely share the same taste. Would highly recommend.

Cabin Retreat

Our family of four spent the weekend at the Evergreen cabin. Cabin was clean and had all of the amenities that we were looking for, pet friendly and close to Canaan and Timberline. Also had easy access to Davis & Thomas for evening meals. It took us a little time to figure out how to warm up the hot tub, but once we got it cranked up it worked fine. Furnishings are outdated and could use an update but meet our needs and we had a very nice weekend stay.

Charming log cabin

Overall 4.5 🌟. Cozy cabin perfect for a family weekend. 3 main level bedrooms. Two twins and 2 futons downstairs great for the teens and young adults. Living room furniture is run down but comfy. Appreciated the recliner for Mom (1 is broken). Kitchen had everything we needed (including Keurig). I would visit again.

Meets the needs...

Based on previous reviews, i went into this rental with higher expectations. While it met our needs mostly, i would have preferred newer furnishings, specifically beds, pillows and sofas. Generally the cabin was clean but would not call it sterilized as described. Again, it met our need but I would not book this particular cabin again.

Nice cabin- Needs updating

The cabin is nice but is in major need of updating. The leather furniture is literally falling apart. While we understand that most of the time the weather is nice and AC is not necessary, during our stay it was very hot which made for uncomfortable, sleepless nights. Portable AC units would have been great in the bedrooms at least. It could also use a deep cleaning and lawn maintenance. Great location, loved fishing at the lake and the hot tub was amazing!

Our home away from home

We love this cabin! It's the third time we've stayed in it. It's beautiful inside and out. Plenty of room. Quiet. Big tv. Puzzles. Books. All the cookware you need. Pool table. Fridge. Washer/dryer. Hot tub. Pet friendly. Very relaxing! The only recommendation i could suggest would be clean and stabilize the pool table or upgrade it. Thank you for sharing this beautiful cabin.

Log home review

Website showed everything we needed for our vacation. Upon arrival house was not ready. Cleaners were very nice and accommodating. Basement sleeping area/game room had mold throughout. Very damp. Couches need replaced. This is a beautiful house in a great convenient location. It needs TLC and some repairs for the price. Ladies at the office were very nice and accommodating through email and in person for our large group. We would definitely stay there again if the issues were fixed.
