Windmark North neighborhood:
is a brand-new Gulf-front neighborhood, with approximately 30 properties directly backing onto the Gulf, of which this is one. Of those 30 maybe half are rentals. Of those 15 only 3 or 4 have the same quality of view that we enjoy. So if you want to enjoy the golf from the LR/Bedroom or patio, this is going to be one of the few options you have in this neighborhood.

Transportation Options:
To explore beyond the neighborhood, a car, golf cart, or bicycle is recommended. Golf carts are the preferred mode of transportation within the community, followed by bicycles.
Parking Information:
Street parking is not permitted. The driveway accommodates 3 to 4 vehicles, depending on size, thanks to recent parking extensions. Trailer parking is not allowed due to space constraints. Overflow parking is conveniently located near the community pool.
We welcome up to two dogs per stay! However, please be transparent about bringing your furry friends. Concealing pets to avoid the dog fee not only violates our house rules but also poses additional risks and costs for us. We understand that pets are part of the family, and we`re happy to accommodate them, but we need your cooperation to cover the necessary expenses.

Important Note: Failure to disclose and pay for your pet is grounds for immediate eviction, so please comply. We appreciate your honesty and compliance with our pet policy to ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay for everyone.

Our Golf cart is AVAILABLE, requiring a small fee to cover insurance costs, accompanied with a short term lease/liability waiver. Reach out to me if you are interested in renting the Golf Cart.

Perfect Peace

The property was very nice with many amenities just as described. There were lots of guest rooms with plenty of space for the family to spread out and enjoy the vacation. Once the nearby pool area is completed, it will be even nicer. I highly recommend this property for family vacation.

Family visit

We had niece graduate from Port St Joe High School and we are from Mobile and needed a place to stay. It was also a little vacation time, which was much needed. The location is amazing, it is between Mexico beach and Port St Joe.

Perfect Peace was great!

Perfect Peace was a wonderful place with everything you could possibly need for a stay at the beach! We decided not to rent the golf cart and just walked to the beach which wasn’t far. Once all if the construction is complete this will be a spectacular place to stay. We just wished we were closer to the pool and the beach was a little more easily accessed which soon will be the case! Bill was a great host and made sure we had all we needed! Teenage kids had a blast with all of the games in the garage!

Great relaxing vacation

Overall, our stay was wonderful and the house was excellent. We had 6 kids, ages 10-20 and 2 adults. Beautiful house, great location, CLEAN. A couple of suggestions that are easy fixes for the future and would further elevate the experience. 1: there is no full-length mirror anywhere in the house. A $10 Walmart mirror on the back of a bedroom door to look at an outfit top to bottom would be so helpful. 2: small/sample size containers of salt and pepper would be a nice addition to the kitchen. 3: there is some sort of drain trap in the main bathtub. This may be common at the beach, but being from the Midwest, we were unaware so some instructions in the bathroom would be so helpful. With 5 people showering in there, it backed up very quickly. Delayed response from owner and then only a question about if we’d stuck something down the drain (we obviously had not). We bought Drano ourselves and when we took out the stopper to pour it in, we found the trap and dumped it, fixing the issue. Drano was not needed or used and it ended up a simple fix, but some info about this and how to clean it out would have saved us much time. It had to be cleaned out twice in our 5-night stay, and probably would have been three times if we’d known about it from the start. Overall, it was a great experience and a fabulous home. The layout, amenities, and kitchen and living room setup allowed us lots of family time and room for everyone to hang out comfortably.

I don't typically respond to reviews especially 5 star reviews but I want to clear a few things up. 1) In general and I wish it wasn't this way, but sadly many items that are easily "repurposed" lets call it, often times are, which includes the full length mirror, cleaning supplies, even toilet paper beleive it or not. We once had a behind the door mirror in the master closet earlier this year. Apparently it was either broken and not reported or stolen. I wish this was more uncommon than it actually turns out to be. And who really gets screwed when something is taken or broken and not reported? Future guests!! I wish it wasn't this way but we can't overcome this even with cameras. We allow people in our home and "trust" they will respect it and our property. Most do, many do not. We understand things happen, just be honest and tell us. But when something is stolen or broken and concealed, its the next guest that misses out. How I found out the mirror was missing is from this review. We've even had guests get into our supplies closet and consume (or take or both) ALL of our laundry detergent or other cleaning items they may have wanted, just as an example. Ethically this is clearly wrong but perhaps even more significantly, my cleaner has to run out and buy detergent to wash sheets, cleaning supplies, etc for the next guests. Time and expense away from where she should be. Completely unfair to her! So this is a major issue we have to deal with and the result is. unfortunately, some things become unavailable.....many permanently, sadly. 2) on salt and pepper, I provided brand new shakers of both just 2 weeks prior. No possible way it was all used up in 2 weeks. Likely another example of "repurposing". Packets of salt and pepper is a good suggestion and perhaps something we should consider. 3) On the drain issue, I didn't understand the issue at all, as the question I received was "do you have any drano?" That was it. I asked some questions and got no response. It wasn't til after reading this review that I pieced together enough info that I now understand what bathroom we are talking about and what the actual issue was. Until I read this review I thought the issue was in the master bath shower. I got no response to my questions so I was literally blind and unable to contribute to a pathway forward. I should note, if the review is the first time an owner is hearing of an issue or any details of the issue enough to be able to contribute to a solution, that is NOT on the owner and def should not be how things are done frankly. Now I beleive I pieced together what transpired: the shower in the second bath (not the master) has a hair catcher in the drain (which is not exclusive to the south, they have these in the midwest also). The hair catcher has been in there for 2 seasons now, although I cleaned it out when I was there 2 weeks ago. Have never had any issues reported pertaining to the hair catcher filling up in a matter of days. Apparently the hair filter was doing its job and caused the drain to slow as the hair accumulated in the hair catcher. To have to clean it twice in 5 days is extraordinary and seemingly more an indication of substantial hair lose rather than a high maintenance hair filter needing lots of attention from the guest. This filter is cleaned by the cleaner (or is supposed to be) after every guest stay. Given this is the first time we have encountered anyone having an issue, it never dawned on us that this is a feature of the house that needed to be explained. We will take that advise to disclose this but suffice it to say, this really has never been an issue in 2 seasons of high volume renting. On feedback in general: if you stay with us you will see for yourself that we repeatedly ask for your feedback but we prefer it to be private as often times when feedback is provided via a review which is not the appropriate place for it, it is devoid of contextual facts and therefore very easy to mislead (intentionally or unintentionally). So we welcome feedback (on ways we can improve), we simply ask that it be private so as not to mislead potential future guests.
