SeaClift - Big Stump Beach Ocean Front

SeaClift is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home at the edge of town located at the popular Big Stump Beach. Miles of sandy beach to walk. Just to the south of the home is where you will find Big Stump, a very old tree. A redwood stump, to be exact, when redwoods are known to be confined to the area south of Brookings. A redwood which, it appears, grew here. People have been visiting it since long before the white settlers arrived; in fact, the local Native Americans honored it with an offering of white stones or shells as they passed by.

At SeaClift you can gather with friends or family with all the comforts of home. Enjoy an evening on the deck grilling up some yummy food or have a nice evening inside during those coastal blistery days.
There is room for everyone. SeaClift features 3 queen beds and a bunk bed for the kiddos. Your dog child is welcome too.
Come stay at the SeaClift and you will see why you will want to make it your Home at the Coast from now on.

We loved our relaxing stay in this home. Great deck with a wonderful view of the ocean. Beach access just steps away (as long as you can make it down a little uneven hill/trail). The beds were comfortable enough, kitchen was useful, place was mostly clean and especially clean where it counts! A comfy-enough beach house we'd stay again. Would be good to clean out/organize the pans, etc. Def need some new ones. Watch out for those pesky sugar ants! Bring some food containers/secure clips. A beautiful, quiet beach!

I wish it would have had an actual fenced yard and some bedside tables. Heat was a little uneven but it was overall comfortable once we figured out some quirks. A little dusty, some drippy faucets some burned out lightbulbs. Nothing terrible.

The house had most of the things we needed however it was a bit dated and some things didn’t work quite as well as they could have. The house is super easy access from the road and very close walk to the beach which was nice. The view was great and the fireplace was a great feature for us. Od stay there again.

There were a few hazards for elderly guests, including rugs with no backing, and a shower with a very slippery seat. The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of kitchen supplies. The view of the ocean is awesome, but there was only a picnic table to sit at outdoors.

It’s an older home but was very comfortable & had everything we needed. The easy beach access was extremely nice. We hope to stay there again!

Great family vacation home! Beach access is two houses away. Beautiful view & quiet beach.

Overall a nice home. It is older, but we were all comfortable. I would suggest having patio chairs to better enjoy the view with. We had a great stay and we would definitely come back!

Great view

All three of us had a wonderful time. We each had our own bedroom. There were only about 3-5 other houses on this one little street and we were the last one. It was quiet and clean and comfortable. The cherry on top was the weather, turned out better than we thought it would. Long story short, our stay was excellent.

Reviewer Comments: This used to be my Grandparent's cabin, my grandfather built the back half from lumber that floated up on the beach from a logging barge that lost its load. Their beautiful iron bed is still in their room. It has been 40 years since I stepped foot in this cabin, and it is just as lovely! It still has the kitchen cabinets he built, and much of it is the same. Felt wonderful! I think we will rent it every year!

Size perfect, view perfect. Cleanliness so so. Very dusty when we got there, bath soaps from previous occupants left in shower. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Property is PERFECT for those who are NOT looking for pristine, 5 star hotel. It is nice, cozy, and older. Rustic. Great for a beach vacay. Sleep with windows open and hear the waves all night. watch breathtaking sunsets. walk miles of beach without many people. The bedrooms are great. Not fancy. If you are looking for 5 star hotel cleanliness and furniture, try a hi rise hotel somewhere. This is a whole different experience.

Awesome view and location but dated property

View, location and easy access to the beach made this an enjoyable stay. Property itself is in need of serious updating. Low ceilings; old, worn and dirty cabinets, bare light bulbs without fixtures, musty smell on arrival, etc.

The house was clean, well stocked but extremely dated and rough. Furniture was very uncomfortable especially the beds. No TVs in the bedrooms, no direct beach access, fence yard isn't fenced because it has rusted out. Major ant problems in the kitchen, slow drains through out the house.Thankfully they were gracious enough to allow our family to move to a different place. Much nicer, but smaller. It ended up having our son, daughter in-law and Daughter and son-in-law and granddaughter left a day early... We rent every year and this is one for the books and not in a good way

NICE OLD HOUSE

This is an old house but is comfortable, new floors and stove.(We stayed here @ 5 years ago) View from the deck is good, would be better if the bushes were trimmed down. Katie at Ocean Odyssey was great. Answered all our questions was always quick to return any phone calls. It would be nice if the garage were cleaned out and available to use.

Seaclift

We had a super time at Seaclift. The view was lovely and the easy access to the beach was excellent. The house has a “cottage feel,” that we liked. It is well-equipped for cooking, laundry, etc. Our beds were comfy. The manager was informative and helpful. When I was concerned about the yard being out of control with weeds and the view obstructed (from an earlier review), she assured me that everything had recently been trimmed. She was correct! We think this place is a perfect get-away!
