UAB Updated Historic Home in the Heart of the City

BEST OF BEST LOCATION! BEAUTIFUL HOME AT SOUTHSIDE-a vibrant neighborhood in the heart of Birmingham! Historic District Home in the quite street, less than five min. local drive to Downtown, UAB, 5 points South, Hospitals, landmarks. Dreamland BBQ. Shopping, dinning and entertainments are in 5-15 mins walkable distance.

This charming new renovated historic home is perfectly situated on a large corner lot, and there is also off-street driveway parking and a one-car garage! (we are currently use it as storage) that is rear in the city. The large covered front porch greets you with true Southern charm and it is the best spot for watching the fire works during holidays. Original vintage details can still be found throughout this home like the built-in bookcases, butlers pantry, and original doors and hardwoods floor, beautiful high ceiling (10ft+). It has formal Living room, dinning room, kitchen, two full bathrooms, Master queen bedroom with French door connected to living room and it has private full bathroom with walking in shower. The other two bedrooms has connecting door that is convenient for family with small children. The large fully equipped kitchen with updated appliances plus wash and dryer. Ceiling fans are in every room. Bed and bath linens provided, Smart TV, wifi, etc. This is a very nice, clean, and fully equipped-furnished house. A chance for at-home feel for the price of a hotel.
Hotel like treatment:
- Brand new beautiful and comfortable bed sheets, pillows, duvets. All mattresses covered with high quality mattress pads. Extra blanket and pillows provided.
- Three size towels, Everybody Soap for Everyone 3 in 1 soap, hair dryer, etc provided.
- Fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, a dish washer, microwave, toaster, blender,12 cups coffee maker, Keurig one cup Coffee Maker, cookware, paper towels, trash bags, etc.
- Living room equipped with 50" Smart TV, comfortable sofa with pull out full mattress sofa bed.
- Wifi connected, central air and heat for entire house.
-55" TV in the living room and 35" TV in the Master Bedroom.
*We are allowing total guests of 10 if you bring your own sleeping bags and additional cleaning fee of $50 will apply for total guests of eight or more. Queen air mattress can be provided if request it 24 hours before check in.

Great location! Very clean

We had a wonderful stay visiting daughter at nearby UAB. The house was in a good neighborhood, close to everything we needed. The house was very nice and clean. We will definitely return.

Great, cozy house with a great front porch view. We had a great time hanging out and visiting with friends. We also loved how close restaurants/bars were to the house that we could easily just walk to.

Wonderful place to stay

The house is cozy, located near downtown, hospitals, 5 points, and less than 15 minutes from airport. The house allowed for family to gather in one location rather than separate hotel rooms and be able to really enjoy each other’s company. Only great things to say about this house and the host Suzy. Made for an enjoyable weekend for all!

Pictures don't do it justice

My family of 7 fit comfortably and upgrades have been made since last photos listed. The neighborhood is very quiet with amazing views from front porch. We would definitely stay here again.

A Christmas Welcome

The house was cozy and warm during very cold (down to 11 degrees) days and nights. The beds and furniture were comfortable and the kitchen served our needs. Our host even had set up a Christmas tree and Christmas decorations since we were there on Christmas Eve and Day. We appreciate her thoughtfulness.

Wonderful!

Five Points South is a comfortable, clean, cutely decorated home in a great location. We came for a family wedding, and were able to take quick Uber rides to every venue, restaurant and attraction that wanted to visit. Check in was easy and we had everything we needed (we did not cook anything, but the kitchen seemed to have needed supplies for that). We went to the local market and got coffee/snacks, and the nearby Dreamland BBQ was great! My mother has trouble getting around, and there are a number of steps leading to the front door, but we were able to go through the back entrance without any problems! Great stay!

Visiting Family in Birmingham Area

The property was as listed and was a clean, really nice house in a location central to the Birmingham area. The only issue was that the host did not cross-check our booking with another made on a different platform, and the property was double-booked for the first night of our stay. Upon contacting the host, she quickly apologized and resolved the issue. Other than that, it was a delightful stay for our family of 4 (including 2 adult children), and I would recommend this property to anyone traveling to Birmingham.

UAB Graduation

Perfect location for the UAB graduation. We rented a car, however walked a fair amount as well. Believe a car is a must. Kitchen appeared to be sufficiently stocked, however we didn't cook any meals. House size was perfect. Spent majority of time in the LR/BR. LR furniture is uncomfortable. Television basically useless, so purchased an antenna (less than $30) at Walmart to watch local stations. Master bathroom really small but workable for short period. Guest bath was very sufficient. Overall, enjoyed the house and our stay in Birmingham. Thank you.

Perfect place for families wanting to expect Birmingham in a safe neighborhood

Location was outstanding! Everything is within a 2-10 minute drive from this home. Several yummy places to eat within 2 blocks. This is great for families. We never felt unsafe in the home or neighborhood. The home was very clean and welcoming. We had a 1 yr old , 3 teenagers, and 3 adults and I worried about the size of the home in the pictures, however, we fit comfortably in this home. The pictures of the bedroom with 2 beds appear to be twin size, that is not the case. They are full or queen. Teenage boys fit perfectly. I love that they donate soaps and health products to community nonprofits if you leave them. We bought some extra items to share with the community. What a great idea! We would most definitely stay here again.

Perfect location

The house was well kept and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Was within 20 min of the 3main locations we had to travel. Easy on and off interstate and close to Homewood where there are excellent places to eat and interesting shops. Would recommend.
