The Bear Cave log Cabin is secluded with a hiking trail connecting to North Point County Park that leads to the beach. The Van Buren State Park beach/campground access is 0.5 miles away. The Fields General Store is right next door. The Cabin is located 3 miles from the city of South Haven. Relax on the screened porch, around the fire pit, hiking to the beach, or simply inside enjoying the log home. We cannot wait to share our home with you! This cabin was wonderful. Super clean and the hosts were always very responsive to questions. I was comfortable staying there with my husband and young son. My favorite part was the cozy screened in porch! It was so great for reading and taking an afternoon nap. I would highly recommend this cabin! We hope to stay again next year.

We had a fantastic experience! Super cute cabin with great accommodations. We loved how the cabin is tucked away in the woods with lots of privacy, but also is only a 0.7m walk to the sand dunes at Van Buren State Park. There are two large smart TVs, a good WiFi connection, lots of family games, plenty of space for sleeping (2 queens, twin bunks, a sleeper sofa and love seat in the loft, and couch & love seat in the living room, and a kitchen stocked with dishes, and cooking essentials. Also provided are beach towels and toys. We had a wonderful time and plan on staying here again.

The bear cave was everything we hoped and dreamed of. We stayed in January, and absolutely loved the snowy woods and the short hike to the lake from the property. The cabin itself is beyond cute, very comfortable and well laid out, and full of fun features like the electric fire/heater, games, a well stocked kitchen, and lots of cozy places to hang out. We came for the woods and it did not disappoint.

Thank you for staying again! We did this spring/summer add culligan water treatment however it is well water and some guests are used to city water. We hope to keep updating as we can we hope you return again next year!

Cute Cottage Super Cozy

Quaint and clean cottage is the perfect short or extended stay getaway with a wooded view, comfy beds, and an old-fashioned bathtub that's perfect after a day of hiking or skiing.

This cabin in the woods was the perfect get away from the every day grind. Cabin was clean and very comfortable. Host was very responsive and accommodating. Hiking trails started right outside the back door. Couldn't ask for anything more. My stay in the cabin was perfect and the snow that fell was icing on in the cake. At pretty. Definitely will book again.

The stay was wonderful. I really wish were able to stay more then one night (had to get back home to the kids). The bubble bath was heaven lol. I hope we are able to make another trip to South Haven soon.

High school friends reunion

Needed a campsite for one evening somewhere near the Kal Haven Trail. this place fit the bill perfectly. Excellent bathroom facilities and the Kal Haven Trail is right there.

Perfect!!!

This property is such a sweet, homey, place. It was SO clean!!! Kudos to whoever cleans it. We only stayed one night but it met all our needs. We will definitely be coming back for more of this beautiful place.

Beautiful Cabin

We stayed for 1 nite only, everything was right, clean place, good ubication, kitchen with everything we could need. Precious place! The only concern was the odor of the water, smell weird.

Thank you so much for staying. Unfortunately, we have well water as city hookup is unavailable in this area. We have a water softener and provide a gallon of drinking water for those who would prefer. We understand this can take getting used to for those used to city filtration systems. Thanks again.
