Had we been notified during the stay, we would have appreciated the opportunity to immediately address any cleaning or maintenance concerns. As disclosed in our listing, the home is located in the countryside, where insects such as spiders, ants, and other bugs can occasionally be encountered. The hot tub is not listed as an available amenity, and our check-in information specifically advises guests that it is permanently non-operational and not available for use. The property also has exterior lighting controlled by switches near the front door. We are always available to assist guests with questions about the home, but unfortunately we were not given the opportunity to address any of these concerns during the stay. We take cleanliness and guest feedback seriously and will continue working with our team to ensure the home is properly prepared for every guest.

Many of the items referenced in your review—including amenity limitations such as the fireplace and hot tub—are disclosed in the listing prior to booking. The partial cleaning fee refund was issued as a courtesy related to check-in timing, not due to habitability concerns. We were not notified of the majority of the issues mentioned during the stay, which limited our ability to address them in real time. Several of the items noted were also unknown to us prior to being raised after checkout; since then, we have remedied certain concerns to help ensure a more comfortable and relaxed experience for future guests. Our home is a privately managed vacation rental, not a hotel, and expectations may differ accordingly; this listing has consistently received strong reviews across multiple platforms from guests whose expectations aligned with that standard. We appreciate all feedback and continually work to improve our operations.
