Find fun no matter the season by skiing at Sugar Mountain Resort just seven miles away, or hiking the trails at Grandfather Mountain State Park 14 miles away. Rent fun equipment like kayaks or paddleboards to find adventure on the river, or just fish and listen to the wilderness. For those with kids, the large yard is perfect for games and free play.

Upon entry, you'll be met with a bright interior and a warm feeling of welcome throughout the space. Relax and make yourself at home by resting on the plush furniture, curling up with a good book by the fireplace, or streaming your favorite movies on the large TV. The open floor plan promotes togetherness, so there will be no missing conversations here! Prepare grand meals and on-the-go snacks in the full kitchen, equipped with a formal dining table, breakfast bar, and all the cupboard room you'll ever need. Four beds ensure that everyone will get a comfortable night's rest from the day's adventures. The communication between host and myself and my other guest and scenery was just beautiful. It actually snowed there on my birthday. Would recommend a stay there

View was great, near by great amenities. House was clean. There were issues with appliances, no propane for outside grilling, and the outdoor trash can was full so we had no place to dispose of garbage.

Beautiful backyard and great location. Decor and equipment was dated, loud fan, washer, dryer, etc. but everything worked. It was a comfortable stay.

This is one of the coolest properties I've ever been able to spend time on. THe grounds are Immaculate and it has a beautiful Creek running through it. You can really tell the owners put love and care into this property

Home Away from Home

We absolutely loved our stay at Moody Creek Cabin! It was clean with plenty of living space. The deck, fire pit and deck over the creek was wonderful! Even though the weather wasn’t cooperative, we enjoyed it to the fullest. The kitchen was stocked perfectly with all the pots/pans/utensils for your cooking needs . This cottage has everything you need for a lovely, comfortable stay. We will definitely try to book this cottage again for our next Boone adventure!

Beautiful stream view

This property could be 5 stars with some basic maintenance. Pros: relaxing back yard, great location, spacious interior, king beds. Cons: no dishwasher, no hot water in one shower, deck needs power wash, some deck chairs falling apart.

Dirty Property

This home needs a thorough cleaning inside and out. Trash all over outside thag animals had gotten into. The deck overlooking the beautiful stream running through the backyard, was dirty and covered in dangerous amounts of leaves and debris. Most every corner of the home and all closets had mouse droppings and the comforters were disgusting. Don't waste your time and money on this bad experience. Could be nice but it has a long way to go.

Filthy and unkempt

Trash had not been taken out from previous guests. There was garbage in the front yard, all over the back deck and rotting in the outside trash cans. I complained to Vacasa and someone texted me to tell me they would be out to clean up the trash but no one every showed up. One of the beds wasn't made and there were what appeared to be rust or blood stains on the sheets. The towels were all in the dryer, not folded or hung. There was a marijuana roach by the front door and the cigarette bucket was overflowing. There were damp-rid containers all over that needed to be replaced. The windows are filthy, the porches, walkways and decks hadn't been swept in a long, long time. The outside furniture hadn't been wiped down. The leaves on the steps are a safety hazard. And, the grill lid had been left open and it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The property could be very beautiful with some TLC and a good scrubbing. As it was, it was very disappointing.

Great Trip!

House was clean and well stocked. Poarch and yard were really great. Great hikes nearby. It was a nice getaway and great location.
