Cozy riverfront cabin on the New River. Close to Boone and Appalachian State.

Enjoy our cozy cabin located on the bank of the New River. This newly renovated property sits within steps of the water. Bring your kayaks, tubes, and fishing gear and prepare to relax. Our home has a large deck area both covered and uncovered overlooking the river. Inside you will find a stocked kitchen, cozy den, and two bedrooms. We have high speed internet at the property with a smart TV in the den.

We are only 15 minutes from downtown Boone for easy access to shopping and dining, or watching a football game or concert. There are several river outfitters within 4 miles of the house as well as public river access.

Please note that the home does not have central air, but the home rarely gets above 74 degrees in the summer. We do have a window AC unit in each bedroom for cool sleeping.

We had a wonderful stay! The hosts were welcoming and quick to answer any questions. The cabin was very cozy and nicely decorated, the beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed. It couldn't have been better!

What a BEAUTIFUL home! Check in was a breeze. The view of the river is amazing. So very well appointed. Had everything we could need down to toothbrushes and hydrogen peroxide! My daughter saw a bear driving out on Saturday! This is one of my favorite rentals! We will definitely be back. Thank you for such a lovely experience!

Family fun

My family of 4 had a great stay! The house was clean and comfortable. Great WiFi and TV. Beautiful kitchen stocked. Bedroom ACs were plenty to keep cool in July heat. Great proximity to Boone. Beautiful view of the river. Amazing large deck with comfy seating. Kids floated a few times in tubes on river. Went caving, rafting, and hiking at grandfather mountain. Wonderful family time before we dropped our twins off at Camp Cheerio New River!

Everything was wonderful the owner respond very fast and very nice all the time.The place was wonderful the views, mountains the persons was very nice. The only thing I’m not like was in the night is so dark in middle mountains with kids I’m little bit scared.But for the rest everything was wonderful

Sweetest little mountain stay!

We loved our stay at Lee's cabin! The porch and the river were the highlights of our stay. The cabin was incredibly clean and comfortable. Probably one of the cleanest places we've ever rented! We picked blackberries from the driveway, caught fish in the river, and basked in the beauty of the North Carolina high country. I was a little concerned about not having central air but the AC units in the bedroom and fans made it very comfortable, even in the middle of July. 10/10. We will come again!

We live down the mountain in Hickory but have always loved the high country. We love sharing our little piece of heaven with others.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

We fell in love with the cabin and how close it sits to the river. We often see otters swimming in the river along with the occasional beaver. Look for deer across the river in the horse pasture just before dark.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Our cabin is close enough to town to be convenient but far enough away to provide a relaxing retreat. The river is awesome whether you chose to go for a float, wet a line, or simply watch the river flow from the deck.
