The Midnight Moon Cabin, Horses, Goats, Cows, Hot tub, relax, then do it again!

Looking for a quiet space to slow things down a bit? You’ve found it! Enjoy the many local wineries, State Parks, or other outdoor adventures while you’re in town. Relax in our hot tub or by the fire under the stars. Enjoy being on the farm as our cows, goats and horses graze the pastures surrounding the cabin. Take it easy on the porch swing, take in some corn hole, play a round of checkers, or admire the sunset from our front porch rockers. There is much to enjoy in our area including the Mtn to Sea hike/bike trails, kayaking the Mitchell, Yadkin, or Fisher Rivers, many local wineries and much more. Come stay with us and enjoy an opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Heavenly Homestead

Wow!! What a remarkable little slice of heaven! The cabin has every modern amenity you could want but the feel of an old log cabin. The view is spectacular and peaceful, plus your only neighbors are adorable goats and a horse! Definitely one of the best VRBOs we have ever stayed in!!! Thank you for an amazing property that helped us create great memories!

Perfect Honeymoon Getaway!

This cabin is truly a slice of heaven! The land is beautiful and so peaceful. It was very clean and the owners were so helpful! It was just what we needed to complete our honeymoon week. We will definitely be back!

Amazing and beautiful

This place was amazing. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The view was incredible. The property owners was absolutely amazing to talk to and get information from about local sites to see and visit. I have told everyone i know about this amazing place i cant wait to come back .

Rural Paradise

We were excited to stay at midnight moon cabin. It was everything we anticipated and more. The cabin offered all these essentials of a modern home with a unique rustic style. The property is beautiful, very private and beautiful.We look forward to coming back!

Serene retreat

Loved the fire pit, hot tub, wrap-around porch, and lawn games. We spent most of our time outside with their horse Spirit and enjoyed watching the deer in the field each morning. Nice way to unplug with family. Amenities were just as described.

Perfect country escape

Beautiful property, clean cabin, lots of personal touches. I can not overstate how clean and welcoming this cabin is. Within 10-15 minutes of wineries, restaurants, and parks. We loved our stay here!

Near perfection

What a wonderful property! The interior is just as you see in the pictures, and was very accommodating for the two couples in our group. The porch and surrounding pastures and mountains need to be seen to be truly appreciated. We all particularly enjoyed sitting on the wonderful wrap around porch and watching the rain fall and light show it brought with it. We've been to this part of NC many times, and there's always more things to do than we have time to, but if you're looking for a place to truly relax and enjoy yourself, this is it

A must stay!

My girl friend and I stayed here for a couple nights. The cabin was perfect. Very quiet, clean and comfortable. The host Lindsey was quick to answer any questions before arrival. We only ate out once in Elkin and cooked the rest of meals at the cabin because we didn’t want to leave. The hot tub was so relaxing after hiking at Stone Mountain Sate Park. Be sure to look in the white cabinet outside on porch it has everything you need to start a fire in fire pit and games to play. We enjoyed sitting on the porch with a glass of wine and eat dinner and talk about the day. Thank you Harris family for letting us stay at your place we will definitely be back.

Wonderful cabin in a beautiful setting

We really enjoyed our stay at Midnight Moon! The cabin is really cute and cozy and the surrounding land is beautiful. We loved the wraparound porch and watching the horses. The fire pit area looks very inviting but we never got around to using it.

Anniversary Weekend Away

For our 31st wedding anniversary, the wife and I decided we needed a getaway from the stresses of our daily routine. Lucky for us, we had family who stayed in this cabin last fall and told us how amazing it was. The property is as advertised, clean, quiet and absolutely beautiful. We had a great weekend of peace and quit with a little livestock thrown in for good measure. We really enjoyed the town of Elkin which is a short drive from the cabin. Plenty of good eating and shopping options. We loved the area and are really looking forward to our next trip back.

Gorgeous Setting for a Girls Wine Trip

We couldn't have asked for a better stay at Midnight Moon Cabin. From the picturesque scenery to the horses greeting us when we arrived. We had a great weekend getaway and easy access to a number of wineries. We used Frog Holler for our wine tour and was overjoyed by the ease of them picking us up at the front door and dropping us back off so we could hop back into the hot tub to relax from the day. Lindsey was so great to work with and always was available for any question I had both before and during our stay. If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely return to Midnight Moon!
