As a guest, you'll enjoy a wealth of amenities to make your stay truly comfortable. Indulge in the convenience of free WiFi, a washing machine and dryer, and smart TVs in each room for your entertainment. The house was very nice. Love the hardwood floors. Kitchen was very spacious. The fenced in yard was perfect for our fur-babies, I didn't have to worry about them getting out. They loved sitting on the porch with us looking around. The location was close to anything you would want to do. Visit the lighthouse and beach!

This is a really nice place - It was cuter inside than I expected, from how the pics looked. The beds were comfortable. Couches were cozy. My 8 year old and 11 year old sons really enjoyed the basement, which has a lot of games. The only downside for us is that my husband and son are VERY prone to allergies. We are the kind of people who avoid perfumed detergents, air fresheners, etc... We can't be around pets. This place made my husband sneeze. We ended up removing packets of scented potpourri from the master bedroom and unplugging a glade plug in air freshener from the main living room, because my husband was sneezing, and he did better after that. We re-washed some of the towels provided to reduce the smell on them, as it seemed likely they'd been washed with fabric softener/dryer sheets that were perfumed. Some people really love adding fragrance to their clothes and air, but unfortunately, because of our allergy issues, these thing were a bit of a problem for our family. I would stay her again if the owner makes more of an effort to reduce allergen exposure on the property. Otherwise, it was a great place to stay.

Check-in is easy. Host Cheryl is very responsive and pleasant. Neighborhood is quiet and walkable. House is very clean and well-appointed with everything you need.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen was very easy to navigate. Lots of things to be able to cook without having to haul it there from home! The owner gave us the info to check in and was totally hassle free!

Family getaway

We enjoyed our stay and Cheryl is a great host! The extra perks she provided were very nice. The long driveway was also a bonus to fit all our cars with kids coming and going. We were a little too toasty in the house at times as the air conditioning struggled to keep up in this very hot and humid July! I think it would be fine during less humid weather.

Perfect Location!

This cozy cottage is perfectly situated, only minutes from public beach access. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Cheryl was so gracious and helped us with anything we needed. I highly recommend this adorable cottage!

Perfect spot for a N OH retreat.

Stayed here 4 nights for a cedar point/lake erie vacation. Had 3 teenagers w me and we all had a blast. Plenty of room, lots of games to play, and comfy beds.

Great stay close to Lake Erie

Location was great and close to a couple beaches on the lake. One beach was within walking distance. Rooms were as listed and pretty comfortable, and the house was well decorated and cute. We stayed during a heat wave (90) and it was pretty hot throughout the house making it challenging to hang out there comfortably during the hottest part of the day. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils. We cooked dinner easily each night with what was provided. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place especially if it’s not during the hottest heat of the summer or if you’re planning to be at the lake all day.

Wonderfully decorated cottage with everything provided. Our family of 4 dog, stayed 5 nights and didn't want to leave. Enjoyed the comfy beds and our 2 teenage boys loved the basement with games, tv, and lounging around. The keyless front door entry was nice. We only went out for dinner 1x, to Jolly Rogers Seafood right by Lake Erie. Yummy. We cooked at the cottage the rest of the time, where everything was provided in the kitchen as well. It took us 5 min. max to drive to the nice park, and beach and during the week, we took a ferry ride to Put-in-Bay on the Jet Express, with the dock being equally close to the cottage. We recommend taking the Train Tour on the island. Our last evening in Port Clinton, we went to Scooters Ice Cream around the corner, where it's outdoor seating only, so we brought the dog. Only issues at the cottage were the trash bins outside were full, (but that was out of Cheryl's control) and it got hot and stuffy inside from the weather when we arrived. I did see on the VRBO description, it stated AC, so I assumed it was central air. It was only mobile AC units, so my husband (by suggestion and permission from Cheryl) was able to set them up. (we needed for health reasons) Once everything was cooled down later that evening, we were able to open up the doors to get a cross breeze going, and having the ceiling fans in each room was helpful and sufficient. All-in-all, we had a relaxing visit, and definitely would recommend visiting Cheryl's Cottage.
