We loved this cabin! It was clean and welcoming. Clean sheets and towels provided was nice so we didn’t have to pack extra. There were directions for everything you needed (keurig, thermostat, steam shower, tv, etc). Amazing views in the winter. We enjoyed sitting in the sunroom and watching the wildlife. The supplies for our dog were appreciated and the games kept us entertained in the evening. Would highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our weekend getaway at this cabin! It was all that we hoped for. Our dogs had a great time and loved walking in the snow. The owner, Brigid, was very helpful and responsive.

This cabin was so welcoming and cute!! Beautiful view from the sun room of all the fall colors! Lots of neighborhood deer in the backyard. The cabin had everything we needed to have a restful, rejuvenating girls’ weekend!

Hard to beat! Scenic surroundings from a tranquil and warm home. Close enough to Harper’s Ferry for a trip in to take in the surroundings or pick up some food from some of the many great local establishments. Hard to beat waking up and sipping coffee as you watch deer and other animals forage below, especially after enjoying a great nights sleep post stream shower!All the “little things” were thought of by the host. Great home!

Comfortable and quiet mountain cabin with convenient location for our planned activities at Harpers Ferry and Sharpsburg. We would stay there again if in the area. Good communication with the host.Deer in the yard every morning and evening added to a pleasurable experience.

Perfect getaway

This was the second time we stayed at this cabin and it was even better than before! It was clean, quiet, and has lots of nature views. Additionally the host was very responsive and provided tons of useful info about the area. Steam shower was the cherry on top!

Wonderful Weekend Getaway

This property was quite wonderful. Nice and quiet. An abundance of wildlife visited while we were there. Deer with their babies chipmunks, plenty of birds. I even had a coyote run across the backyard. The property was literally 20 minutes from everywhere. A nice added touch was that there was only TV in the bedrooms. The sun room and deck were great to just sit and relax. Highly recommend booking this property if you just want to get away for a weekend wind down

Great House, Great Views

99% positive things to say about this place. The views, the kitchen, the beautiful room facing down the mountain was our favorite room to do things.The mattresses are a little too forgiving. We prefer stiffer mattresses than were provided. And the drive up, if not used to driving up a mountain, was a bit terrifying the first time. But you get used to it. Sort of.Enjoyed our stay and would stay again if we decide to spend time in the area again.

Relaxing Stay

The house was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was amazing with it's heated floor and rain shower. Having two porches was enjoyable. The little extras like tea and coffee, snacks and games were appreciated.

Secluded rocky home

The home is situated up several narrow, winding roads. I don't recommend finding it in the dark. The rain shower shower-head is wonderful, but the shower size is too big for the room. There is no room for toiletries @ the sink. A luggage shelf would be helpful. There are no grocery store nearby. Bring your food with you.

Nice home with great outdoor space

Really nice house that was accurate to listing. Bathroom in particular was nicely furnished with a great shower room. Great view from the indoor deck area. Nice outdoor space with well-done landscaping and a fire pit. The property owner was also highly flexible with needs for my pet. I would recommend this property and would stay there again.

My husband Travis and I opened this cabin in March of 2023. In 2005, we got engaged at the top of Maryland Heights, right over in Harper's Ferry. Sixteen years later, we returned and found this beautiful cabin in the woods.

After a drive up the beautiful mountain road, we found The Cabin at Alta Vista nestled in a small cute little mountain community. The neighborhood is quiet, very little traffic or noise.

From the moment we laid eyes on it, we dreamed of all the memories that would be created here. So we worked hard for over a year to create this space. It is great for family getaways, romantic nights away, or a just a chance to spend some time in solitude.

The space is quiet and simply decorated while having all the necessary amenties, as well as some bonuses, like luxury robes and heated floors. The property has an incredible amount of rocks landscaping the property, great for climbing or just a fun place to sit and take in the views. We also have frequent visits from wild life! Guests enjoy watching from the big windows in our sunroom.
