Earnie's Place is currently accepting reservations beginning May 2025 for stays of 5 or more days. Our properties are currently in high demand because we deliver on what we advertise. We want to thank everyone for their stays and honest reviews that has us exceeding our hosting goals! Over the winter we are adding new updates and amenities that certainly will add the WoW factor to your stay.
Imagine the following: You arrive after traveling for hours or a hard days work to a fridge stocked with your preferred cold beverages and breakfast items. On the counter you will find snacks and your preferred blend of coffee and other hot beverage options. You recline on the sofa or chair to watch your favorite TV show in front of the fireplace. The TV has Apps that allow you to watch in various languages and almost 14000 programs, live TV sporting events and Pay Per View events. The kitchen has modern appliances including a dual Keurig coffee maker, blender, waffle maker, juicer and drink mixer. This place is located 5 minutes from the Dow Event Center in Saginaw. It is a pleasant 20 minute drive to Frankenmuth. It is a short ride to your work assignment whether it's Nexteer or one of the local hospitals. This is a great space for traveling nurses or students in medical programs. Close to the Temple Theater, Fashion Square Mall, Birch Run Outlets, Hoyt Park, Saginaw, Old Town Saginaw, Farmer's Market, Castle Museum, Children's Zoo, and has a grocery store in walking distance. It is a short drive to Soaring Eagle or Saganing Eagles Landing Casino.
The garage is an entertainment space dedicated to sports fans and karaoke enthusiast. The garage has bicycles, lawn games, video gaming, card games and a Smart TV with apps. There are golf clubs available if you want to hit the links. There is fishing equipment and we will let you know where they are biting!
The beds are comfortable and very clean. We provide all the linen and towels you will need for your stay. Drop off laundry service is included for guests with long term stays.

Thanks so much for choosing us and taking time to complete a review. The twin XL room has an option for lowering the bed, however, since we cater to a lot of adult males who are here for work, we only adjust when we know children under 12 will stay. That is something that we will ask guests about from now on. We truly appreciate the feedback as well as how nice you and your guests left the place. Guests like you will allow us to remove cleaning fees, which is o e of our goals. We hope you and your guests will consider us the next time you are in the area. Very Welcoming!

Earnie's Place was ideal for my stay in the Saginaw/ Bridgeport area. Everything was wonderful; from the first correspondence with Cathy at Team Earnie to the last. The home was very clean, quaint, quiet, and perfect for my needs! Thank you for your hospitality, and little touches of kindness. If I travel to this area in the future, I'd be honored to stay at Earnie's Place again!

Earnie's Place

We loved this property, the history of the property and it's surroundings is amazing, the neighborhood was inviting, the house was very clean and the garage has an awesome set up. We will definitely be booking this property in the future! Cathy is a great host and has an amazing heart, she stayed in contact and was there for any questions and concerns, which there were none other than the app malfunctioning!!

The home was very nice and clean! Great for game players, with an entire converted garage with just many games to play! Bicycles available too! Catherine, our host, was wonderful and always available for any question! Five stars for Catherine!

Chaz and his wife were first time visitors to the Saginaw area and we were excited to welcome them to all it has to offer. We are so pleased that they enjoyed their stay. As always, we did everything within reason to accommodate them including their change in travel plans as well as their unexpected early check-in. We appreciate the friendly communication and feedback. The checkout went beyond our instructions. Not only did they take care of the trash, but they also pulled the linen from both bedrooms! These are the types of guests that make hosting such a joy.

Frankenmuth vacation

It was not a fault of the property, but neighbors were shooting off fireworks till after midnight. Some as late as 2 in the morning. Other than that, everything was great. Loved all the things they had in the garage for us to do. Very comfortable and easy process all the way through. I would recommend it to others.

Earnie’s Place was founded in memory of a very hospitable woman who moved to Michigan to escape domestic violence. Once she was established in Michigan, she helped many other women in similar situations relocate by providing housing, meals, and transportation assistance. This place is dedicated to travelers and its goal is to provide the same southern hospitality that Earnie provided. Her legacy continues through her children and grand children who own and manage this property.

This property brings all the warmth of home. It has enough space for entertaining while bringing the family together. You may notice that the neighborhood is not a community of new homes. This is a transitional neighborhood. Most of the homeowners have been here for 30 years or more. General Motors was the main source of income for the area up until the late 90’s. However, when it left, many of the families went with it. Our community groups recently began working with the Saginaw County Land Bank to buy vacant properties to build median income homes on them.
