★ Pets ★
Yes, we are pet friendly and allow dogs, but please keep a few things in mind...
- If your furry friends sleep with you at night, it's REQUIRED that you put your own sheet down on top of the bed to prevent pet hair from attaching to our comforters and sheets.
- The towels provided at the home are for humans not pets.
If there is an damage to to any of the bedding/towels, I will have to charge an extra cleaning fee of $250 for the replacement costs and/or additional time and effort it takes our cleaners to get the place ready for the next guests.

★ AC★
Although AC is not normally used on the mountain, we place window units in all the main floor bedrooms in the Summer for guests to use as needed.

★ NATURE IMMERSION ★
The natural surroundings offer majestic areas and sights. However, you might encounter a few bugs happily playing on the deck and around the chalet. Don't be alarmed, as this is a standard occurrence in the mountains.

★ Driveway ★
This chalet has a tandem driveway. Although it has room for 4 cars, if you are coming here with multiple trucks\large SUV, 3 is probably the max. As you pull up to the house, the driveway slopes down and up. The roads are paved, but this home has a gravel driveway.

★ General Info★
The closets have extra blankets, space heaters, and extra folding chairs for larger groups.

★ Winter Driving★
A lot of snow can come here in the Winter. AWD or chains on the tires are highly recommended.

★ Firewood★
Make sure to stop at Fred's or another local place to pick up some firewood. Please reach out if you need assistance finding some.

★ Roku TVs ★
Each bedroom has a Roku tv. Login to your favorite streaming service to enjoy what you like to watch!

At an elevation of 5,506 feet, it's the highest town in the eastern USA. So summers are cool with prime hiking and mountain biking. Winters bring a wonderland for skiing, snowboarding, skating, snowshoeing, and sledding. And don't forget the brilliant fall colors that extend for weeks. Find restaurants and the beloved Fred's General Store in the village center.

❆ WINTER ❆

If you love to ski and snowboard, explore 95 acres with 15 slopes and trails with a vertical drop of 830 feet. Their longest run is one mile. A snow tubing park is adjacent to the Alpine Village at the base of the slopes. Plus, you can snowshoe and hike on the 20-mile trail system maintained by the town of Beech Mountain. This town is your best chance if you dream of a white Christmas. Everything is just a short drive away!

☀ SUMMER ☀

Since temperatures seldom top 75 degrees (about 15 degrees cooler than the city of Asheville), Beech Mountain is a beautiful place for hiking, mountain biking, and golf. In addition to shopping and dining, there is plenty to see and do near Beech Mountain, including Banner Elk and Grandfather Mountain. Beech Mountain not only promises comfortable playing temperatures for golfers but guarantees them as part of its Summer of 79° package.

★ HIKING & BIKING ★

Hike & bike Beech Mountain’s Emerald Outback Trail for expansive views via 7 miles ranging from 4,700 to 5,400 feet in elevation. The main trailhead is across from the Town Hall. Nearby, find Beech Mountain Resort’s downhill biking park with multiple trails traversing the ski slopes and are served by the ski lift. Riders can load their bikes on special trays added to the lift and then hop on a regular chair behind their bikes. That park is open Thursday-Sunday from June to August. Pick up a trail map and get info at the Beech Mountain Visitor Center. The GPS address is 403 Beech Mountain Pkwy, Beech Mtn.

★ BIRD WATCHING ★

Approximately 127 bird species can be found on Beech Mountain throughout the year. Because of this abundance of species, the High-Country Audubon Society has recognized the Buckeye Lake Recreation Area as one of two “hot spots” in the area.

★ FISHING ★

Trout anglers have multiple options on Beech Mountain. Two streams - Buckeye Creek and Pond Creek - are part of the High-Country Mountain Heritage Trout Water Trail. Loads to do for all tastes, from outdoor adventures for local explorers to total isolation for those who prefer the relaxed and the comfy!
