The host was incredibly helpful, responsive, and proactive. The house itself was exactly as described - very well maintained and cozy with so many amenities. Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying here and hope to stay again! The location was perfect for skiing! Thank you, Hannah!

Family Vacation

My children, nephew, mom, and I stayed for a short family vacation. The property was extremely clean and well-maintained as well as centrally located. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable stay and a great location!

Lovely house with great location for skiing

My family of 5 really enjoyed our time at this home. We skied every day. The location and layout of the house made everything super easy. We would definitely go back!

Awesome Chalet

Stayed for the weekend to attend the Land of Oz event. The house was perfect for our family. We loved having 2 large living rooms to relax and enjoy the cozy fireplaces. Nice neighborhood close to the ski resort, restaurants and shops. Great communication with the owner. Would love to stay again in the future.

Fantastic Location

Beautiful cabin with a very comfortable and unique layout. Multiple living and sleeping areas allowed everyone to spread out and enjoy multiple activities. The fenced in back yard was great for our two pups to play in. The location was next to the Ski Lift/Resort area and very convenient to Banner Elk also. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will definitely return. Thank you for having us.

Beautiful and cool

Great property, beautiful house, and cool temperatures during the hot summer. Lots and lots of closet space and cabinet space, plus plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows. Fenced yard was great. Thank you for sharing your home.

Friendly Owners

Our hosts were gracious and responsive to discuss any issues or concerns. The beds were comfortable and you could tell that the property had been recently remodeled. The fireplace and heaters worked well and the dining room table/upstairs den were great places for games, movies, and conversations. We walked to hiking trails and enjoyed the small, quaint town of Banner Elk. Overall, a great stay! Big thanks to our hosts and the cleaning crew!

concert stay

We stayed at the house for the concert weekend at ski slope. We were easily in walking distance to the venue. The house was very clean and well appointed but supplies (cookware and serving ware) were limited. The property was a little precarious (steep steps, branches and debris on walkway). The owner/manager was very responsive. We would stay again.

Great property

The place was amazing. The checkin was a little lacking. We arrived at the property and did not have check in instructions. Had to contact VRBO who quickly got the problem fixed. I recommend this 10 out of 10. Warning you will be climbing asteep switch back to get there.

Great chalet on Beech Mountain

This was a wonderful and convenient house to stay in during our trip to the mountains. The decor was beautiful and updated, along with the whole rest of the house. It had plenty of space and we loved the two separate living room areas. The driveway had plenty of room for our two cars. We loved sitting around the fireplace and playing board games on the large dining table. Beds were also very comfortable! The kids absolutely loved the loft area with three twin beds. Hannah was easy to communicate with and very accommodating. It was an amazing experience and I'm sure we will be back!

Fantastic Location!

This house was exactly as described. It had everything we needed for our quick ski trip over Mardi Gras break! The teens were able to walk to the slopes and we could drive back and forth to the base in under 5 minutes. The beds were super comfy, the layout of the home is ideal, keep the teens near the kitchen and Mom and Dad get the quiet of the 2nd floor. The 7 y.o. had the entire loft with the 3 twin beds for her and her dolls. Thanks for a great property - we hope to return, Banner Elk/Beech Mountain is one of our fav places on earth! *Only comment - The code for the door Never worked (it wasn't all that cold) The lock box was very hard to find in the rainy dark.

Great Week in the Mountains

We really enjoyed our stay on Beech Mt! The house is well appointed with everything you will need and is quite comfortable. Three of us (women friends) came to escape the heat and found lovely cool temps and gorgeous Mountain View’s. We each wanted our own room and bathroom and this house worked well. There is also a loft upstairs with 3 twins for children. Getting from the car to the house can be a bit tricky as it’s a climb up a gravel/grass path or steep stairs. Wear your sneakers! Also, please be aware that the road up to Beech Mt. is a series of switchbacks and hairpin curves—it’s a skiing area so not unexpected. We had no problem as it stays light a long time in the summer. We found the local restaurants in Banner Elk to be delightful. I think we tried all of them and had no complaints. Can highly recommend for a nice week or weekend for couples or friends.
