Lakeside Retreat

Welcome to Lakeside Retreat! Enjoy a peaceful stay at this wonderful lake house, in the best location on the whole lake. This house is located in Downsville, LA, right on Lake Darbone. Plenty of sleeping arrangements and the house is equipped with everything you will need during the stay. 4 smart TVs. The floating dock is one of the best amenities on the whole property, and also has great fishing on the pier, along with great space for entertainment. The house also has a private boat launch. Fish cleaning station with fresh water. There are 2 boat lifts that will fit pontoons, bass and ski boats. It will not fit tritoons! Beautiful views and outstanding sunrises!

Great Lake house. We have stayed here twice with our family. Home well equipped with everything you need. Kitchen and bathrooms stocked very well. Our grandkids enjoyed fishing off the dock.

Awesome place to stay

Lakeside Retreat was the perfect home for visiting our Downsville family. It was clean, extremely well-stocked, had plenty of parking and felt like home. The open kitchen, dining, living room floorplan is so welcoming. We are ‘lake people’ and the front porch did not disappoint. Also, the Green Egg turned out 10 fine ribeyes. We will definitely keep this home in mind for our next visit.

Perfect Lake Weekend

The inside of the house was well laid out and well stocked for our weekend at the lake, but we spent all of our time outside! The dock was fantastic. We caught plenty of bream and catfish - enough catfish to fry our last day and feed 6 adults and 4 young kids! The area around the dock was clean enough to swim off for our kids who were suspicious of swimming in Louisiana brown lake water. There was plenty of parking (all 6 adults had their vehicles and there was still plenty of space). The shade in the backyard and on the dock made the July heat tolerable. The area of the lake was beautiful and not very busy. It really was a perfect weekend for cousins to play outside, swim and learn to fish!

Exceeded expectations

Pictures cannot capture how lovely and spacious this home is. The house is situated at a point in the lake, so it is all lake views out of the front windows. The kitchen was great for hosting all of my local family. The bed was the best sleep in years, I need to know what kind of mattress that was! Very impressive old pines and sweet gum trees which made laying in the hammock and sitting on the swing a real luxury. Thank you for the amazing trip, it was the perfect get away. Note- A little tough to find the first time there. Left on the road right before the road that goes alongside the lake, then keep right all the way to the end. You'll pass the mailbox for the property a little ways before you get there.

Very Beautiful Place.

We really enjoyed our stay. Would recommend this place. Logan was great. We will be looking forward to stay again. Beautiful view. Sun rises and sun sets are amazing on the lake.
