Buried Treasure is a lovely efficiency condo located in Island Retreat. Enjoy everything this property has to offer including a large pool, tennis court, boardwalk to the beach and fresh ocean breezes! We guarantee that the moment you step onto the front porch and into the cool, sun-dappled living area, your stress will drop away.

The kitchen has a full-size refrigerator and a four-burner gas stove, coffee maker, microwave and toaster. The living room has a comfortable sofa with a chaise, flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. The dining table seats up to four guests. The two queen-size beds are the perfect places to rest your head after a long day of Port A adventures. The bathroom has a tub/shower combination.

Our first time in Port Aransas and using your place.We were very impressed with the place, very good, nice,comfortable, all the necessary utensils to stay a weekend like us or a long stay.Everything very clean, up to date, easy access to the beach and other adjacent places. One star

Bed was broke and we notified office of issue on our 1st night and they wanted to fix it on our last day! Parking was terrible , a number of vehicles without parking pass taking all the parking. We told the onsite security and was told just park at the office only parking.Will never stay there again

A great place to stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was a good place to stay, good location with 24/7 security which was great. The only negative thing that I can say is that we checked early and thought that all was good to go, but it wasn't. We still had to go to the office to get a placard for our car and wrist bands for the pool. But again the security was there to keep us all safe and secure so it was all good.

Did not receive room that was requested

Very disappointed. Sick and unable to get around. The room was located back of property upstairs. Rental property would not help with this situation. Will never deal with Silver Sands Rental. Would not help to relocate so I could enjoy my stay after my fight with cancer. Would not refund any of rental fees. It was very disappoint ing.

Definitely would stay somewhere else next time. I felt I accommodated them more than them accommodating me. Asked for early check in even offered to pay more. They said they would call if they could make it happen. Didn’t even call when it was regular check in time. I had to reach out to them for everything. Just to hear an excuse why I couldn’t be helped. They use to many ways to contact me personal email phone number and vrbo. Waste two hour breaks at work trying to send them email of me holding my picture ID I book through vrbo should keep contact through vrbo. They told me to bring towels to get clean then very next message told me it said in portal to bring laundry detergent. So I looked and didn’t see where it said that but did see in reviews of a broken bed that was said to be fixed. First night I remember telling my wife something wrong with bed. It was like sleeping in a bowl. This the first place I’ve ever been that I’ve left a bad review or even wouldn’t return to.

Worst first time using a vacation rental.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First off we arrived 30 minutes past check in time and the place was in total shambles. After an 8 hour drive we still had to wait another 1.5 hours for it to be cleaned. Woke up the next morning to a flooded bathroom. TV and Cable box only worked when it wanted to. WiFi info was completely wrong. During some of the construction (which I was informed about previously) someone scratched my new truck.

Wasn't exactly right

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we first got to Port Aransas we had to go to two places to get checked into our room. The first place Buried Treasure, where the condo was located gave us room 169 which wasn't renovated yet. Then they told us that we had to go to Silver Sands to check in. That was fine,so we went there ,and they gave us room 6@ Buried Tresure.. It had full not queen beds, the air conditioner didn't work so they put a portable air conditioner in which took up a lot of room and they had to leave a window open to vent the said unit wich I didn't think they was two safe. The room also had no dishwasher. It was clean enough,but there were no ocean view like the rental said there was. I would give it a 1 out of 5. .

It was perfect for a best friend getaway! I normally stay in my fifth wheel at gulf waters, but if I ever need a cute little place that is safe, clean, and has easy access to the beach, I would definitely stay here again!! My best friend and I had the best time! Good neighbors, security, and easy for two girls to have fun and not stress at all 💜

Experience was good. Place was kinda dirty. The fridge was leaking water. There was dust bunnies In the corners of the room. Over all good beach room to stay in. Beds were hard, lots of pillows though.

Cool!

Verry clean and great neighborhood, however it is not as close to the beach as it looks in the pictures, its a pretty good walk. And we had alot of trouble getting checked in with our key code. Pool was really great and staff in the on site office was very helpful!

Port A Disappointment

The central grounds were attractive and well groomed. The building had been repainted since the pictures were taken. The pool was great and we had easy access to the beach. Parking was convenient; right in front of the condo. Although the efficiency condo itself had nice wall decorations, good TV/cable and a full size refrigerator we were very disappointed with several things. The fabric on the small couch was so greasy with many stains that we had to put a sheet over to even sit there. The broom closet in the bathroom area, where they stored paint and other items was where we were suppose to hang our clothes. There was a small cabinet were we could put some clothes but no drawers. The small stove in the kitchen had no vent to suck out odors/grease. The beds were okay but the pillows were cheap and small; the extra pillows in a cabinet were stained. The air conditioner vents were dirty/dusty with black stains and the chains on the fan were greasy and dirty. :-(

Great location, compact unit

Functional, clean unit but quite small. Upon entering there was a musty smell which improves with AC on(or we got used to it). Neighbor next door smoked outside frequently, which is literally outside your door. Noticed ‘mold like’ spots on and near the AC vent. I didnt look closely....overall great location, easy walk to the beach.

Short trip

This is an upstairs efficiency. If you want an economical short stay where you will spend most of the days outside and/or eating out this place is perfect. Pool was big and clean. I wouldn’t recommend more than 2-3 people sharing this rental at once.

Quite, Cozy.

Enjoy 5 quite, relax nights in this cozy, condo. Would be pefect with a private balcony and a dish washer. A little expensive with all the extra fee.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When I arrived I was shocked to find it was on the 2nd floor. When I made the reservation, it was a "cottage". I'm 74 and have bad legs. Online pics never showed stairs. While clean, there were only 2 washcloths - I bought my own.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Located in a complex that is being revitalized after the storms last year. We just needed a clean place to sleep and shower, and that’s what we got! When the property renovation is complete, this will be a great place to stay-across to the beach, play area/field, pool, bbq grills, laundry facilities... But, since it’s not there yet-I think it was over priced for the current conditions.
