My family and I had an amazing time here at the Back 40 cabin! The property is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. We were visiting for a celebration of life and it was so nice staying somewhere big enough to entertain our large family. The outdoor area was perfect for our dogs and Patrick was even nice enough to let us use the big kennels in the garage! He was super responsive to any questions we had, and even brought over firewood for us at one point. Thank you so much for your hospitality Patrick! If you are looking for a clean and nice place to stay in the area, this one is the best!

An amazing place to stay. It is out the way enough to enjoy some relaxing time on vacation while still being close enough to Spencer and the lakes where travel is no problem. The yard is huge and the three dogs loved it. Garage was really nice too, we spent a lot of time out there playing games and enjoying the nice weather. Inside was comfy cozy, fully stocked and ready to go. We will absolutely be looking to stay here again if we get the group together in the area

Great Spot

Stayed here with some friends as a summer trip. The accommodations were awesome and its a quick cab ride away from Okabojee!

Sweet house for fishing on Boji

Great place for hunters or fisherman! Owner is very nice and made check in super easy, and the big garage made for a nice place to hang out and rig up in the boats. Great location and great setup for fishing or hunting around Okoboji!

Great place

Very happy with the rental. Make sure you bring drinking water because the water isn't good for people or your pets. Comfortable couches and lots of seating.

Amazing!

We loved it, a peaceful setting not far from Okoboji! Lots of room & fun to sit outside in the mornings on the patio taking in the scenery! The most comfortable couches I’ve ever sat on. Can’t wait to go back!

Our family loved staying here and we hope to return someday. Beautiful setting. All areas were perfect; indoor, garage, outdoor….we utilized it all! If you are looking for a country retreat in NW Iowa, this is it!! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home and property!

Highly recommended if you’re in the area! Super nice and lots of space. It looks exactly like the pictures. The owner was very responsive, and communicated effectively. They answered any and all questions that we had at any time we needed. Overall, this cabin did not disappoint and we will definitely be back in the future!

Hospitality at its BEST

These owners are the BEST! They want you to communicate with them and they are very understanding! Pat came out after we lost some power and fixed it immediately! He also spoke about great places to fish which is what we were interested in! Very knowledgeable of the area and wants you to enjoy your stay! LOVED IT! All my kids cannot stop talking about how awesome the cabin and the land is! Planning our next visit soon!

One of the best places I’ve stayed

Stayed for a weekend with friends on an upland hunting trip. Lodge was AWESOME! Beds were comfortable and had everything we needed. Heated garage for dogs to stay was a huge plus. Lodge has a great open kitchen/dining area/kitchen that was stocked with any supplies you need. Pat was a great host and extremely helpful. communication was excellent. I could not recommend this place enough. Property was beautiful and I’d like to take my family back in the summer for a relaxing getaway. You will not be disappointed if you book this place.

Great hunting retreat

This place is great. Just what the doctor ordered. 5 of us with 5 dogs for pheasant hunting. Huge garage with kennels and heated floor for all the puppies. Everything inside was great. Fully stocked kitchen utensils, pots, pans, spices, ziplocks, etc. Even though we brought most everything, it is nice to know that it is there if you need it. Nicely decorated. Would be happy to bring my wife the next time. Super clean. Highly recommend this stay. Also, very private. You can see the pride of ownership. Wish I owned it.
