BEAR CREAK RETREAT

Come enjoy our Petoskey, Northern Michigan getaway. Whether you're coming for summer fun, fall colors, winter skiing, golf, hiking, snowmobiling, wineries. Our home is near it all, and our host is here to guide you to whatever you seek. Minutes to local attractions and setup for fun. Private drive set back in forest from neighbors.

Relax with our outside amenities including 4-6 person Hot tub, fire pit, basketball hoop, expansive deck over looking beautiful large yard, and even a Gaga-ball pit. Inside layout includes 5-6 bedrooms with 11 total beds and 2 full baths, with first floor laundry.

The fun never stops with our walkout basement hangout den. Recently finished with gorgeous locally milled shiplap walls. Handmade pool table including a ping pong conversion top, custom bottle cap bar, tabletop arcade, and bonus bedrooms.

5 min to downtown petoskey. 10 min to Petoskey state park beach and sand dunes. 15 min to downtown Harbor Springs and tunnel of trees. 15 min to 3 different ski resorts (Boyne, Highlands & Nubs), Avalanche bay waterpark and several golf courses. Endless hiking trails, wineries and great dining all around.

Great place for a family weekend or longer

Great spot for skiing

The house was a perfect location between the ski resorts and the hot tub and games were perfect for afterward. Erich was very responsive and communicative.

Hot tub was a big hit along with the fire pit for roasting s’mores. Large dining room table to sit 8 comfortably to play board games in the evening.

4 Day Stay in July

This property was exactly as described! A very comfortable place for our family to spend the last few days of our vacation! We especially enjoyed the hot tub, it was new and well maintained! We will definitely be back.

Great house and great host!

We needed a place for a crew from our company that resides in a different state who were coming up north to help with ice storm clean up. Erich was an amazing host! Great at communication and the crew said the house was perfect! Clean, comfortable, and they enjoyed the amenities after their long, hard days of tree work.

Petoskey getaway

Bear Creek Retreat was very clean, and had all the amenities one could want. We had a great time, and I would recommend this to anyone looking to see northern Michigan/Petoskey area as it was less than 10 minutes from downtown, kayaking, and hiking trails.

Skiing Vacation with grandkids

Beautiful house with all the amenities! Even Extra towels for us to use in hot tub. Liked pool table/ ping pong table plus all the games. Our Host ( Eric) was very attentive and helpful. I would stay here again.

Great size and location!! Had family (a group of 9 adults) meet up here. 6 minutes from shopping, about 10 minutes to downtown Petoskey. Had a few hiccups upon arrival but once we messaged Erich, it was resolved in a timely manner. Communication was fantastic! My only wish would be for a bathroom in the basement. My husband an I stayed down there and it was close to separate living quarters from everyone else. Thanks Erich for a wonderful stay!!!

Fun place to stay in Petoskey

I was very pleased with this rental house. It’s spacious with lots of beds, lots of outdoor space, and was clean. We had teenagers in our group and they really enjoyed the pool table, arcade games, hot tub and fire pit. The host was very responsive and friendly as well.

Perfect retreat

The building and amenities were perfect and incredibly clean. The location is great for privacy while at the home along with a short distance to town if needed. Host was incredibly nice and responsive.There was plenty of space for everyone. Honestly can’t say enough positive things. Already talking about planning another trip back.

Gorgeous property and home!

Absolutely beautiful property and home. Can’t recommend it enough. Check in and communication was great. The house was perfectly appointed, kitchen had everything we could have needed. We grilled, used the hot tub, fire pit, pool table, hammock. The home is clean, lots of privacy, close to all amenities. We will definitely be back!

We had a great stay at this property. The kitchen was fully stocked, there were cleaning supplies and paper products. We had a party of 10 and did not even utilize one of the bedrooms, so they were plenty of places to sleep. Great amenities, such as the hot tub, fire pit usage of sand toys, beach, chairs, umbrella, etc. we loved all of the board games and the books they had for the kids and family. While, we really appreciated the usage of beach towels, a few more towels for the house would have been great along with hand towels. But we made it work with the washer and dryer. The house is in a great location to downtown Petoskey and also nearby towns/attractions. The host responded quickly when we had questions and was very accommodating.

Great Getaway

We had an amazing stay and are grateful for Erich for being such a wonderful host in accommodating our family for the weekend in Petoskey. The home was even more spacious than it seemed in photos and exceeded expectations. Even with 12 guests, we never felt cramped. There was plenty of seating, indoor and outdoor. There were lots of games and activities to keep us entertained when we were not out exploring the beauty of Petoskey. The house is in such an ideal location, tucked back away in the woods it feels secluded yet is a quick drive to all of the Petoskey favorites and of course Lake Michigan. We would definitely recommend visiting!

Perfect spot

This was my first time renting a house so i was a little iffy BUT this was the perfect place in the absolutle perfect location for what we needed it for. We had 12 people and we all fit comfortably. Didnt have close neightbors so we could enjoy being outside. Kids were able to run around outside and be kids. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed and then some. I will definitely be renting this spot each year and would recommend it to anyone. Check in was flawless and so easy. Communication with Erich was outstanding. He even gave a good list for us to do and places to check out. Responded in a timley mannor to all my questions.

Erich’s home was extremely spacious and full of great amenities. It is in great proximity to Boyne and Petoskey. Our group loved all the board games, hot tub, pool table and excellent kitchen supplies for a great trip. When we initially arrived there was a small issue with the cleaning however Erich was great with communicating and making everything right. One detail to note for those staying in winter is that you may get stuck on the driveway with smaller sedans or rear wheel drive vehicles. The driveway was plowed during the stay however. The house was otherwise excellent.
