SituĂ© juste Ă  cĂŽtĂ© de la Blue Ridge Parkway dans la belle Fancy Gap, Virginie, cette maison est serein, pittoresque et parfait pour votre escapade. Le Blue Ridge Parkway cĂ©lĂšbre son 75e anniversaire en 2010 avec de nombreuses activitĂ©s. Cette maison est Ă  quelques minutes de l'Interstate 77, juste au nord sur la ligne d'État de Caroline du Nord. L'emplacement est Ă  environ 2 heures au nord de Charlotte, Caroline du Nord, environ 4 heures au sud-ouest de Richmond, en Virginie.

Un grand jardin ombragé avec hamacs et transats sont là pour se détendre, et (1800 pieds carrés) plan d'étage ouvert, il est idéal pour les réunions de famille ou des escapades tranquilles. Depuis le porche couvert, vous avez une vue bas de la montagne sur 50+ miles sur une journée claire.

We had a wonderful time and the view at night is spectacular! We had some issues getting into the house but the host got there as quickly as possible to let us in and was very apologetic about it. Can't wait to come back!

Robin was ver responsive. She checked in with us as soon as she saw we had accessed the property. There were a couple of issues I brought to her attention so she could address. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

Fancy Gap home & Blue Ridge Parkway

We loved the location and could ride our bikes to the Blue Ridge Parkway.The home was spacious and comfortable. A 2 large trees were down in the back with an electric line string, making use of the back difficult. Dogs did come into the yard but were friendly. However, no one cleans up after them. The area roads were not busy so walking our dog was easy.All in all, our weekend was enjoyable.The host was very attentive to our messages.

Home to Relax

My husband and I recently stayed at this property for our anniversary. It was so peaceful! I was impressed with the cleanliness. The property matched the description perfectly. Everything was as advertised—no surprises, just a relaxing and stress-free experience. The photos and details provided were accurate, which is something I really appreciated when booking. It is important that future renters know that the drive to get to the home would be challenging if we had been pulling our enclosed trailer. We considered hauling our motorcycles to ride on the parkway, but the trailer would have been damaged on the driveway to the home and driving the bikes on the gravel road would have been stressful.

Fancy Gap Visit

Beautiful area and easy to get to. The house was very clean and a good size. It was very peaceful and Robin the owner answered any questions we had in a timely manner. Great place to rest or a short drive to activities. Looking forward to another visit in the future.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin. The pictures do not do it justice! This cabin is much bigger and nicer in person. We enjoyed our stay very much. We had friends come stay for New Years and we had plenty of room to hang and relax. We fixed most of our meals there and we had everything we needed. The yard is spacious so my 2 dogs loved going for walks everyday. Robin was very attentive and quick to respond. She even drove out to help us with the fireplace when we first arrived. It is in close proximity to the Blue Ridge Pkway and very close to Mt. Airy. We will definitely be back!

Peaceful place

Right off the blue ridge parkway, in the middle of nowhere lies this peaceful place. We enjoyed it as a quiet base camp from which we launched daily adventures along the New River and blue ridge VA/NC.

Fancy Gap cottage

From the moment we walked into the cottage, we felt at home. Robin was great at suggesting trails for our son to hike. We found some great restaurants and loved the entire area.

Cozy and quiet

We had a nice weekend stay at Robin’s home. The house was much larger than I thought it would be with plenty of chairs for outdoor seating. The grill was out and ready for use and the beds were comfortable to sleep in. We had a little hiccup while there and Robin responded timely and appropriately. Overall, it’s a beautiful property and we would stay there again for a getaway in the mountains!

Peaceful cabin

Stay at Carroll County

Very good but a couple of things would make it a lot better. The refrigerator makes weird noses plus it leaks water inside and freezes to the top glass shelf. The other concern is the recliner. When you sit back in it it almost puts you on your head backwards. I’m handicapped and I need to be able to sit back in a recliner to keep my left foot from swelling.. Everything else is great.

Peaceful comfort

We had a wonderful 4 day weekend stay at this property. Robin was very prompt and kind in her communication. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. Robin told us it’s nothing fancy, and she’s right, but it was very comfortable and so relaxing and peaceful. We like to hike and it is located close to several good hiking opportunities as well as close to Galax and Mt. Airy for other things to do. We hope to be able to return again soon and explore the area more. When we do we will definitely stay here again.

Far enough away for seclusion but not too far from anything

This is a precious privately owned home and has been in our family since it was custom built in 1981. The view at the end of the driveway behind us (circa 1999) is overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains and into Mount Airy, NC, Pilot Mountain, and Winston-Salem in the distance.

Close to Floyd County, minutes from towns Hillsville, and Galax, Virginia. Mount Airy, North Carolina (home of Andy Griffith, Mayberry) is a 20 minute drive south down the mountain.
